I choose to believe it was because of the intense atmosphere. Real fucking graps! Acts as a very cool setup to the title match where both guys are on a pretty even playing field while also existing as an awesome exhibition. ***3/4"

For me, this is one of the best ~10 minute matches of the year as both wrestlers decided to make it count, they did a bunch of fresh sequences and counters without wasting any time which naturally led to the last minute where it became clear that at this time these two are equals, and they'll need another match and more time to settle the score."

Hopefully Moriarty wins it from him at the PPV and ends an otherwise extremely underwhelming title reign that was prolonged by an injury that sidelined the title for about six months that was largely ignored."

[7.0] "This is my type of wrestling. These two guys just had a really good back and forth of smart transitions and strikes that didn't look overchoreographed. Things like Moriarty spending a rope break on the 12-6 elbows, just made sense and added desperation to the sequence while making the elbows feel even more dangerous. The chain grappling at the beginning felt raw and they worked it at a pace that let things breathe without dragging things out because of the time limit. MOTN and has me very excited for a rematch in the near future. ***1/2"
