[5.0] "Didn't do much for me. I enjoyed the movement in this match as I usually do for Switchblade's stuff, but there's not enough substance here. White was filling time with way too many boring chops and Fenix just kept selling them like death it was weird. Wish it leaned more heavily into White countering the high-flying attempts of Fenix and doing some ground game but instead it stayed in this weird middle, heatless realm. **3/4"

[7.0] "A solid match in which both men made the most of their time, in my opinion. Fénix winning would have been cool, but White probably makes more sense going forward. I was hoping for a little more here, but I also don't think these two got a whole lot of time."

[6.0] "[3.0*] Another good match on this show that I was expecting way more. It was pretty simple, while keeping its quality, and Jay won after his classic reversal dances before the Blade Runner."

[5.0] "This match was cool at some points and boring at others, I don't think there's too much to add here, Bang Bang Gang and Penta & Abrahantes were ejected right in the beginning, so we had a clean match and Switchblade won after a mediocre sequence - {**1/2}"

[7.0] "Good match here, but it was quite short. It started off with both Penta and the Bang Bang Gang getting ejected from ringside, before Jay and Fenix wrestle a fairly solid match that did get good towards the end. The finishing sequence here was the highlight for me. It's the classic Jay White reversal spam sequence which can be a bit hit or miss for me but this one was actually quite good because it actually felt like both men were struggling to counter the other man's moves. This was good but I wouldn't have minded it being a bit longer. ***1/2"

[5.0] "An ok match between Jay White and Rey Fenix. Match starts with Bang Bang Gang and Lucha Bros face off but bothwere evicted by referee. Whatever I guess. Fenix just can't help himself from botching and injuring others. He tries a simple suicide dive but doesn't hit it cleanly. Gets his foot somewhat stuck by the middle rope and hits an awkward suicide dive on White. White plays up his heel character by mocking fans and Fenix. Lots of maneuvering goes on at the lasts second but White does an awkward reversal and hits his finisher for the win.... Very happy for White but he is definitely losing to wild card that is definitely going to be Hangman."

[7.0] "My only complaint about the technical nature of this match is that the finish felt a little unearned due to what seemed like a miscommunication (or maybe two off-balance wrestlers) during the standing switches and drop-downs. Otherwise, a fun format for a singles match with a clean winner. Fenix had a couple of nice moments where he sold very well for Jay (e.g., the spike DDT, getting twisted and dropped off the apron), while Jay managed to simultaneously display control *and* cowardice in the same match. That's hard to pull off, but I thought they were mostly successful here."

[5.0] "Yeah this was exactly what I expected from these two in a non PPV setting. Jay White shines when he gets time to heel it up, but Fenix isn't a sympathetic babyface, and his moveset in repetitive. Still felt above average though. 2.75 Stars."

[6.0] "i love jay white against luchadors and high flyers honestly there styles are great with eachother. Also feel like before the YBs announcement if there dark horse (going to be hangman page) i thought the finals would be bryan danielson and jay white but that isnt happening now. Pretty descent match i kinda expected a little more to be honest. Liked the spot before the match started where everyone at ring side got kicked to the back. But what i absolutely hate is the patriarchy and bullet club gold (refuse to call them bang bang gang) i hate them feuding because there 2 top of the card heel factions and i just i dont even believe in the feud it isnt good what so ever and just shouldnt be happening in my opinion. The presentation during the bullet club gold entrance was fantastic they looked awesome. Descent"

[7.0] "Jay White is such a great opponent for high-flyers and luchadores because he keeps most of the match grounded, and this was no exception. Fenix got to display his wild offense in spurts, but Jay kept him on the mat for most of it. The jostling at the end to avoid the Blade Runner was really good stuff. The result wasnt telegraphed, so I was on my toes the whole time. ****"

[7.0] "Good match here! It suffered a little bit from the classic "we're on ad break, don't do anything" heat section, but once it got going it was really fun! Jay White is just an amazing wrestler, his desire / desperation to win every match he's in explodes through the screen every time he wrestles. Fenix is a great athlete too, his walking the ropes into a kick was particularly impressive. I loved the finish too, putting over the Bladerunner as a kind of outta nowhere finish, just like it used to be in NJPW"

[5.0] "Very bland and uninspired, I don't know what you can love about a match like this that I found extremely rushed and above all dominated by White most of the time without it being particularly interesting, I mean it's a Jay White match and his heat in the US isn't as effective as in Japan where it worked to perfection. Fenix had some good comebacks, but nothing particularly appealed to me in this match, even though I was really looking forward to it."

[7.0] "White vs Fenix: really good match. Lots of well worked sequences and good exchanges. Jay White is so so good and keeps proving it when given a chance to do what he does best. The right person won when Jay White hit the Blade runner to finish the match and Rey Fenix with another good showing as a single. If the rest of the Owen matches are of this quality we are going to have a blast."
