[6.0] "This was solid, but the disqualification finish didn't really help out. That said, it was cool for these two trios to go at it, in my opinion. I haven't seen too much of Titán at the time of this writing, but I'm a big fan of both Takagi and Takahashi."

[6.0] "[3.0*] Match was good, kinda underrated by Cagematch standards. I honestly expected a lot more, those dream trios matches that happened on the BCC/The Elite feud feud were always 8.0 or higher, so it was a minor disappointment. The focus was the angle and I did not hate the DQ finish."

[6.0] "This was actually a really good match, at the beginning Shingo Takagi did some lazy and soft elbow strikes that kinda pissed me off, but the match progressed in a very good way, and those final sequences were incredible, but it ended on a DQ, which protected LIJ and allowed a great post-match angle with Tetsuya Naito and Moxley coming to blows, and Shingo and Danielson staring down - {***}"

[2.0] "I ran into this match and decided to see if it was as bad as I heard. A lot of the offense didn't connect. There wasn't a clear distinction on which team was the babyfaces or heels, so the story was all over the place. The finish was terrible and nothing here made me want to see anything these wrestlers are going to do. I don't understand why the match wasn't thrown out earlier while everyone was brawling outside the ring considering the match ended with Moxley getting his team disqualified. I'll say that at least it was nice Claudio swing Titan."

[2.0] "Not a good match; full of no selling and bad looking strikes (that look worse cuz no one is selling) and it's like they rush through every spot. These old Japanese guys, I really don't get it. I guess maybe they were good ten years ago or something. There was a weird outside of the ring set of heat where Moxley does one of the worst looking running knees I've ever seen. How is Claudio mixed up in all this? I wish he could be working guys like Gunther or Bron Breakker. I thought Yuta would eat the pin but instead we get a crappy DQ."

[2.0] "usual AEW multi man formula, inconsistent selling, no heels or babyfaces, horrible (really terrible) looking forearms, sloppy offense, no pace, no flow, no structure, no rules until there's rules, and so on. Moxley's mannerism looks like parody at this point. Takagi is aging horribly. Yuta showed some promise at some point but never improved in the slightest, or was never put in the position to do so. Overall a really sloppy and all-over-the-place match with an ass finish. Not sure how or why people keep defending this, it's the same thing over and over again. I think it's just fair to want something different, it's not like I hate wrestling, I want to like it, I just wish they did something different for once (not that this style has to disappear, but give something to those who were promised a sports based approach, cause this clearly isn't it)"

[8.0] "Now here's a pretty cool match on paper... any combination of the BCC is always great in my book, the more multi-mans they have the better. They were taking on an extremely cool trio as well, combining forces from Mexico and Japan, three guys I like and who showed good chemistry together as expected. Titan in particular has been damn good since the mid 10s at least so great to see him on US TV. All in all I think we know this match had room to be even better but I thought what we got was a pretty excellent TV match with everyone showing their talent, they didn't go for broke but they put on a damn fun match. The rare DQ finish didn't bother me as I think we all know Mox lives on the edge of escalating violence at pretty much any time. His last match with Naito was quite good so I am somewhat interested in what their FD encounter will look like."

[6.0] "A solid enough match to open the show but I was expecting a little more from this. There was some good stuff here, like the stuff between Hiromu and Yuta was good as was the stuff with Titan and Claudio, but just as the match seemed to be fully picking up, Mox causes a DQ by hitting Shingo with a chair for no apparent reason. This was still quite good, but I went in expecting something of a lot higher quality than what was actually delivered here. ***1/4"

[4.0] "This was a standard AEW tag match. Claudio starts with some of the fakest looking forearm strikes. I don't understand who is the heel team here. LIJ work Yuta for majority of the match. Lots of people inside the ring at the same time. Moxley causes DQ when he hits one of the LIJ member with a chair. Pretty abrupt finish. Naito appears and they have a very soft brawl while inside the ring Shingo starts beating up Yuta and Danielson makes the save.... This match was just an exercise for Forbidden Door opponents to face off just like the rest of the episode."

[5.0] "It wasn't Titán's best technical performance, but in general it was a fight within the expected range for a pre-PPV Dynamite: no risks were taken, neither from a physical point of view, nor from the structure of the match. A 5 for the excessive pragmatism that led to a lazy finish (politics aside)."
charliefiction wrote on 27.06.2024:
[7.0] "For me, Yuta and Shingo were the MVPs of this match (though Claudio did a nice job with his crowd work). Both guys wrestled an urgent but controlled style, laying in their offense effectively while bumping/selling credibly. I'd argue this match was more of a brawl/angle than a competitive event, but it served the Forbidden Door storyline well and the use of a DQ finish was merited in this case."

[6.0] "This was a disappointing match Im ngl. Just as it was really approaching a high level, it ended abruptly. The work was really good, as the talent involved literally cant miss, but the booking was questionable to say the least. Was expecting ****+, but ended up just being a pretty good match."

Im the biggest mox fan in the world have been since 2013 and this finish just outright makes him and everyone look so stupid. Hate the finish love everything else about the match"
TheLegitBoss wrote on 27.06.2024:
[6.0] "A rare DQ finish in AEW, I don't really mind it to be honest and I've never blamed DQ finishes anyway because sometimes they're necessary, it was just less funny when Vince spammed them for no reason, but apart from that it's part of wrestling and here it's understandable. But it's still a pain because it ruined the good momentum of the match, which was starting to look truly good. So it was cool, but nothing more."

[8.0] "I really enjoyed seeing two of my favourite factions doing battle here. Hiromu looked great, and his stuff with Yuta at the end was really good, plus Shingo 1v3ing the BCC at one point was pretty awesome. Claudio was great as the bully, and I liked Mox's selling, especially for Titan's big kick. Seeing Naito and Mox brawl, and then Shingo + Danielson have a staredown was a nice way to build for FD too! I like when AEW does these kind of inter-promotion matches, I'd love to see them more throughout the year!"

Maybe its for the best that Danny G didnt get dragged into the BBC. Shame about the DQ finish but I get why, and its not overused in AEW. Solid TV match though."
