[6.0] "Match was something different, I can only remember Kenny King and Mike Bailey having a No Ropes Match on Impact which I liked. This one was also not bad but simply way to long and therefore got boring in the last minutes."
[7.0] "This match is up there with the best of the year and built off their previous two brawls they had last month. The first half of the match was similar with really good crowd brawling but led to an absolutely insane belly-to-belly to the outside of the ring and from that point on, this match was an absolute war. I dont even want to give out too many specifics. Just watch this."
[7.0] "There's certainly a world where this is one of the best matches of the year, but this took too long to get to the good stuff. Funnily enough, the 30-minute runtime doesn't feel bloated, and the pacing is a strength, but the first 10-15 minutes are uninteresting aside from the suplex to the floor. The ending stretch is fabulous, and they level up to intensity and stiffness, and Ito winning felt like the right choice. 3.75 Stars."
[6.0] "Decent match, the no ropes stipulation was kind of fun and they certainly worked stiff, which I appreciate. It did feel too long to me, could have been edited by 10 minutes at least with no real loss. Didn't ultimately feel that memorable beyond the unusual visual of no ropes."
[8.0] "The No Ropes stipulation was actually used to tell a good story and I enjoyed this the most of their series in GLEAT. The back flip off the ring looked nasty."
[6.0] "This is one of those matches that had no business going 30 minutes and that hurt it. Ito has good throws and kicks but not a wide variety of moves beyond that so the match slowed to a crawl at points. Both guys didn't seem to know how to fill the time they were given. There was so much walk-and-brawling and forearm strikes that I had to 2x speed it. The final 10 minutes are what I wanted to see. Stiff strikes, sweat flying, good selling and a variety of strong offense. It just went too long. ***1/4"
[8.0] "Having just watched Bloodsport and Thatcher vs. Makabe, it took a while to adapt to how flabby this felt. The first 10 minutes were something of a stalemate and didn't really serve much purpose. The second act was way more punishing, with Ito inflicting significant damage on Daimonji. And the concussive finishing sequence played really well into the drama of wrestlers normally relying on the ropes for support when their legs are gone ***3/4"
[8.0] "[4.5*] It was a great match, I wasn't familiar with the wrestlers or this style, but everything surprised me positively, especially the exchanges between Daimonji and Ito. Ito's Belly to Belly suplex launching Daimonji out of the ring was simply incredible. Takanori Ito was brutal throughout the match. The end was spectacular, both men refused to give up and both had great sequences to finish the match, the almost endings were excellent. Takanori Ito's victory was very good."
[9.0] "One of the most brutal matches you'll see this year. I screamed when So got dropped right on his head on his way out of the ring. These two better never do a spot like that again. Terrific emotion, hard-hitting offense, awesome match. At least ****1/2"
[9.0] "An awesome match. They filled the time with no rest holds and just a couple of submission spots. I suppose like 5 minutes could have been cut off of this, but that's my only real complaint. The last few minutes were awesome and the ten count KO rule didn't detract from the drama of the closing stretch, they used it to their advantage to tell the story, especially when Daimonji was close to getting up but then collapsed and the ten was counted."
