[8.0] "[3.75*] This was BY FAR the best match of the night in my opinion and every other one is 3.25* or less. It was a very old-school tag-team wrestling match, kind of a NWA style despite not being exactly that. They were hitting each other real, real hard and Moxley got busted open the hard way, lol. This had less tag moves than what I would like but it actually fits the story/feud because they just wanted to hurt their opponents instead of working a beautiful match. Some people are even questioning the hypothesis of the ending being a botch, LMFAO. The bell rang, Dax stopped the move and then threatened to do the sharpshooter because Mox kept doing the bulldog choke after the finish last week. Maybe they should have been more clear, tho. Still an awesome match and the best 2-on-2 from AEW this year. I hope to see a Dog Collar rematch on Revolution. OBS: A guy just gave it 3.0 because he did not understand the feud. It must be a joke, lol. These trolls, man.."
[7.0] "Good match, but I was expecting more. The action wasn't anywhere near bad, they hit each other hard and did a solid tag team match with solid sequences, but I couldn't not notice the dumb moment at the end where Claudio instead of breaking the submission Dax was performing on Moxley, he picks Wheeler and starts to submit him. If it was a tornado tag team it would be a great moment, but it was just stupid. Without that terrible moment, the last five minutes were great and full of thrilling moments, I hope they run it back, in an even better match - {***1/4}"
[8.0] "A pretty fun way to open the show here. All four guys looked great and I think going to a Time Limit Draw was an interesting move. Of course, it's going to lead to a future match down the line, which I'm very excited to watch after getting a really nice taste here. I did think it was weird that FTR stopped in the middle of the Shatter Machine as the time elapsed, only for Harwood to almost apply the Sharpshooter on Moxley after the announcement was made."
[8.0] "Best match of the show (as expected, to me at least); one of the greatest tag teams ever, against two of the best singles wrestlers in the world, for 20 minutes... doesn't get much better than this. (****)."
[9.0] "I thought this was both a great TV match but also less great than the potential of the four guys would suggest. Hard hitting, gritty, it comes across so clearly how this is a fight based on overwhelming pride and a refusal to back down or be overlooked. I am very much looking forward to the rematch."
[8.0] "This was such a damn good match. Great tag team match. Had awesome spots for both teams. That spot where Claudio picked up both Cash and Dax had me going nuts. Really liked that it ended in a time limit draw."
[8.0] "Very very good tag match for a dynamite, perfect build to a bigger match. Some really good team work, the double sharp shooter was just brilliant."
[10.0] "Despite the inconclusive draw in the opener, this was an INCREDIBLE tag contest with BCC vs FTR that ended up being a really great way to kick off the show here."
[8.0] "I thought this started off a bit weird -- it didn't seem like Cash and Claudio were on the same page or something -- but once they got into a rhythm it was pretty great. As hard hitting as you would expect with a bunch of great false finishes. The rematch should be a banger. ****"
[7.0] "[4.0*] This match invested in a lot of team work in building chemistry between FTR and BCC, there were some good moments (like Claudio and Dax doing a sharpshooter at the same time) and some good reverses, Cash and Dax are already proven as the best tag team in the world but Claudio and Moxley showed that they are also one of the best and did several interesting things during the match. The ending was very good and made room for another tag match in the future."
[8.0] "{4.0*] Despite the fact that I wanted a winner in this match, it was very good, all the wrestlers had good chemistry and they all had a good highlight, in addition to that the ending helps in the construction of a next match for Revolution."
[5.0] "There's something missing from the matches involving these teams (Fight Without Honor aside), idk if it's their chemistry or what, but this didn't really do it for me either. Pretty obvious they were working to a draw as well - I wish AEW would use double count outs or something to get to the same result (like Swerve/Hangman)"
[9.0] "Absolutely incredible match, possibly the best of the year so far. Four men who all excel as both brawlers and technicians going at it full-tilt, leathering each other and making it all look distressingly real. Claudio was the standout performer, getting just as much meaning out of the little touches as he did with his awesome power moves. This was a great choice of match to go to a time-limit draw but AEW need to stop telegraphing it so much by only having Justin Roberts call 'five minutes remaining' in matches that end in draws. I loved the Sharpshooter face-off that turned into a slap fight. Just four incredible wrestlers doing incredible wrestling, we are lucky to be getting an elongated rematch in the near future."
[6.0] "Is this the first draw that wasn't obvious? If you're gonna do draws might as well make them like this. Match was just alright considering those involved. Rematch at Revolution would be interesting and hopefully they have more in store for that than what was here."
[8.0] "Another great tag match from FTR. Its a little odd that they did another time limit draw so soon after Swerve/Hangman 3 but it served the story and makes sense. The crowd wasn't super into it for a little wihle but they eventually got on board by the time the match was ending. There were a lot of really cool sequences in this where both teams would utilize the chaos in order to further their agenda like when Mox and Claudio were gonna hit a double suplex on Dax but Cash speared Claudio and Dax was able to wrestle Mox into an Electric Chair which by that point Cash was on top of the ropes ready for the Doomsday Device. (****)"
[6.0] "Good match that didn't click with me as much as it did with everyone else. Hoping they can do better at Revolution, it's pretty obvious everyone here is talented enough for that. 3.25*"
[8.0] "These two teams had a great chemistry and delivered a really good tag team bout. Wheeler looked great, my MVP of the match but everyone involved delivered good perfomances. I really liked the pacing and the structure of the match, the 20 minutes didn't feel like 20 minutes at all. I liked BCC's stuff piledriver on the floor and Wheeler's comeback once we got back from the break. The sequence that led to his brainbuster on Moxley was godly. I loved the urgency of the two teams once we got the five minutes call with lots of fast-paced exchanges and nearfalls. The powerplex countered by Moxley followed up by Claudio's swing was a great sequence and I loved the double sharpshooter spot with Dax and Claudio just slapping the shit out of each other. Only downside the ending with the botched shattered machine and the anti-climatic time limit call. 8/10 - 4*/5*"
[6.0] "This was a great brawl between four of the best fighters in wrestling today, but something seemed off about this match. Maybe its just their chemistry together, it just didnt seem to click at any point. Again, good fight, but the actual wrestling in this match is a lot sloppier than you would expect from four seasoned vets."
[8.0] "Good pacing and match structure for this Dynamite opener, which sets the table nicely for a Revolution PPV match. I really enjoy the countdown announcement from the ring announcer when the match only has 5 minutes left, because it builds a real sense of urgency. Unlike most TV matches, I could see the booking going either way on this one so it was well-suited for getting the audience to bite on near-falls and big shifts in momentum. Cash Wheeler and Claudio both looked great in this match, but everyone does a nice job of making things seem like a struggle/war out there. I especially liked the numerous ways in which tandem moves were disrupted and broken up by desperate lunges."
[3.0] "3.5 - Annoyingly bad chemistry for four really good wrestlers. Dax is right in the middle of it, going for a 'real fight' style that just looks clumsy. So many individually annoying moments - Cash offering Dax Mox's leg, only for Dax to pick Moxley up and chop him; Mox countering the splash well then no-selling the superplex; Mox just watching Claudio take a piledriver. I can see what they're going for with this rivalry, and the heat is there, but the in-ring product isn't making any of them look good. The late, more we-planned stretch was better, but still not totally clean."
[6.0] "The second 10 minutes saved the match for me. This bout had three out of four wrestlers I'm not into, so I wasn't expecting any sort of classic here. 50% of FTR's offence was chops and it made the first half freaking dull. Too much of that lately. They're not bonafide brawlers. I was glad that this happened on Dynamite not Revolution, but unfortunately they're gonna have another match. I don't know, a stipulation would be welcome, maybe that would make me more invested"
[7.0] "Solid TV match, they obviously had to keep a fair bit back ready for the PPV match. I like a draw in my wrestling when it makes sense and it has the added bonus of making the very worst people on the internet angry as they do not understand in ring story telling."
[6.0] "A solid tag although one that felt like it was missing more of a clear dynamic despite all four being talented wrestlers. The match was well worked but the booking surrounding all four has left them feeling inconsistent a bit in terms of dynamic resulting in a bit of a lack of real investment. Despite this, the match was worked at a pretty good pace with some good action and tag team work from both teams but it felt stretched to meet the 20 minute time limit compared to something like Strickland/Page recently where it felt very earned. I do feel the match may have been better with more emotional investment behind both teams as well or at least why they are feuding."
"hard hitting back and forth action in this one right out of the gate from 4 very competitive wrestlers out to prove who is better when the bell rings. Sometimes it's as simple as that.Claudio displaying his uncanny strength on more than one occasion Dax with the never say die attitude the always unpredictable moxley and the severely underrated cash all had their time to shine in this one so everyone came out looking strong and neither team could put the other away in the allotted time so this easily sets up a match for the Revolution PPV on march 3rd. Very well done from all involved"
[3.0] "For me this was FTR's worst match in a very long time. Felt like they were trying to match BCC in a who-can-sell-the-least contest. As usual with AEW every tag match is basically a no DQ tornado match where there's a ref visibly there with them but he doesn't do anything. The other issue with this match is why do these guys hate each other so much all of a sudden and who's the heel and who's the good guys? I have no idea therefore i don't really care who wins. Hard hitting great, yippee. What's the point tho?"
[9.0] "Last week I thought Dax Harwood and Jon Moxley had a great match that whet the appetites of the potential this feud could provide in terms of match quality. This week the tag team match between FTR and BCC topped last week, delivering one of the better straight up tag team matches I can think of in recent AEW television history. It was physical and delivered some swift counters as well. Cash Wheeler hot tags are a FTR specialty and this match delivered an excellent one. Both teams built nicely to the final 5 reaching the hottest crowd moments for the finish. I dont mind the draw considering AEW does so few of them. Yes, Swerve and Hangman had one 3-4 weeks ago, but it didnt hurt this match considering the post match crowd reactions were the hottest of the entire show, with the fans bursting at the seams for the post match brawl. Great match and a successful angle, overall. I look forward to the PPV match."
[8.0] "Nice hard hitting match. Good starting hold exchanges and hard strikes. Good FTR style match. Mox got his working boots on for this one. Claudio can really fire up and we love to see it. As time went on, the match got more intense. There was the double tap finish tease which only didn't happen because of beef. Roll ups trying to steal the win that didn't go anywhere. Then the visual ending should have totally went to a Shatter Machine victory when the bell rang. The post match scrum was INCREDIBLE. Loved it. Was a 6/10 match WAY upgraded with the finish and post match."
[8.0] "To my knowledge this is the first time AEW has done a tag team time limit draw, though Roberts announcing the time remaining during a 20-minute limit match when so many openers and mains have gone 17-19 without any absolutely killed the surprise. Good striking, fluid tag work, nice submission spots, all par for the course when you take who these guys are into account. I really loved the Sharpshooter face-off into slap exchange between Dax & Claudio, and Cash running wild by himself is always an underrated part of FTR matches. I do think the finish itself was a bit flat, with the Shatter Machine going undone with Cash falling on his ass and yet Dax still tries to slap on a Sharpshooter for the win after the bell. What really gets me though is that this match was clearly nowhere near what these guys could pull off. They can do a lot better at Revolution, whatever the stip is. ***3/4+"
