630.07.2017PUNQ4.0Daisuke Sekimoto -vs- Ryouji Sai – (Champion Carnival 2017 – Block A) [**] - These two have definitely had better matches before, but it wasn’t a bad little house show bout. They do what they do, and with the likes of Sekimoto, you know that’s enough to please.

830.05.2017arrancar7.0Sekimoto worked over Sai’s back well with power moves (which were especially great) and strikes. Sai’s real-time and long-term selling was mostly good, and he showed good fire in his determination to fightback, though he did become quickly exhausted and took a while to execute some moves. His kicks were great too. ***1/2

1007.05.2017Glover7.0This match had some good pacing, which was sorely missed in many matches from Days 2&3 of the tournament. Lots of big man striking and some power moves spread across the 16 minutes with some great selling in there. Sekimoto sold the leg okay, not great. Overall the best tourney match since Day 1. ***1/2

1327.04.2017NastyYaffa6.0Daisuke Sekimoto is the one responsible for making this not-awful. This was my first time watching a match featuring Ryouji Sai & his performance really dragged the match down. The match followed a simple formula of Daisuke being one step ahead of Ryouji all the way through - he dominated the first portions of the match & as usual in matches like this, Ryouji gets to make some comebacks. Well, all of his comebacks felt completely hollow w/ no fire or energy to them whatsoever. Daisuke was very good however selling those & working on top of Ryouji. A pretty good match w/ an awesome performance by Daisuke & a disappointing one by Ryouji. **3/4
