[4.0] "I didn't enjoy this as much as I enjoyed Chris Brookes vs Yoshihiko. Plus, the crowd was not as eager for this as well. The initial grappling and striking was good but then they lost me and I didn't connect with the match as much. Nevertheless, these shows are way more directioned towards the live crowd than the digital viewers and I'm sure everyone there had a blast."
[7.0] "This was a 'title match formula' on a mat in a small bar, which takes a good amount of skill and creativity to pull off. The most important takeaway here imo was that both wrestlers' offense looked good (I guess it really is true that women pro-wrestlers just don't hold back in inter-gender matches) and it was an entertaining match overall."
[8.0] "Pro wrestling distilled into up-close physical theatre with audience members as the ropes. This was some badass performance art - the strikes and bumps needed to be fast, loud & fearsome, and they sure as hell were. But the drama of the near falls was what tipped this into being pretty damn special ****"
[7.0] "For a match in a square, it was pretty good. Unfortunately, due to being in a square, it's quality will always be handicapped. Would love to see them go at it in a wrestling ring on a Gatoh Move Shinkiba show or something like that. Kicks were great."
[8.0] "These two athletes pullet up a brilliant match in a really little space: people that can't get even 3* in a real ring should watch this bout. Before they kicked out every moves possible (that was the best part of this encounter) the wrestling wasn't such good and it's the only things that damages it. Anyway good for sure. ****"
[9.0] "I'm going to echo what everyone else has said and say this was a banger of a match. I would love to see these two repeat this in a proper ring. Until then, this is must see stuff from two of the best kickers in the game. Just 15 minutes of violence on a small mat."
[9.0] "This is the best mind of match they could possibly have in such a small venue with a tiny mat. At one point Maya does a shining wizard that I'm pretty sure smacked Shinno's head right into a brick wall. And then they still kept fighting and kicking the hell out of each other!"
[9.0] "This was fantastic, I was so impressed by how stiff it was! Maya Yukihi is incredible with her kicking and Shinno responded with the same degree of harsh strikes. I love Baka gaijin shows and this match was one of the best ones yet, as good as Maya Yukihi's previous bout."
[9.0] "I just got round to watching this and wow did it impress. This is as good as Maya vs Chris Brookes was, an intense battle of stiff strikes. The tiny confined space only made it more brutal, as there were so many moves they took just straight on to concrete."
[9.0] "Maya Yukihi kicks ass in a bar once again! This time, it was Hagane who she went toe-to-toe with. The result was a terrific striking and technical battle filled with brutal kicks and knees. Hagane continued his great run of matches with yet another terrific performance. This was the second must-watch from Maya in Baka Gaijin. It's as if this enclosed space were custom-built for her. ****1/2"
