That, high kick from Abe early on, and his stuff with Mochizuki early on set the tone, and it's a physical one. Everyone is kicking, slapping, headbutting, and punching the shit out of each other, and wobbling around the ring to sell it all. There are weaker spots when Mochizuki and Hidaka are tasked with 1-on-1 action, but it's never too long, and they get back into the good stuff quickly. It's not the most brutal or violent match, but it is a match where the level of violence is perfect, and the end result is full of life. This isn't going to work for everyone, but some will love it as much, if not more, than I did. 4.25 Stars. |

The attitude between Abe and Mochizuki was great to see and some of the moves were super cool. But then they started in with the stiff skull breaking headbutts, ones that would make 2017 Shibata saw woah slow down boys, and they just never stopped. Those always take me way out of the match and they didn't even bother to sell them most of the time, so why even do them? Not looking forward to someone else breaking their brain cause so many folks didn't learn their lesson. Oh well, just my own taste, these guys are all talented and cool, just please no headbutts. |
