[7.0] "A great match, that suffered from an unnecessary middle portion of chop battles which would have been a lot more enjoyable had it only been done toward the end of the match when it actually felt appropriate for the two wrestlers to become more desperate and try to put the other away through sheer force. The rest of the match though was absolutely fantastic, with Higuchi continuing to be the dominating, brutal, hard-headed champion he has proven himself to be, to the point where Hino felt like the underdog in their battle. 7/10"
[8.0] "Man, that was a bit rough to watch, not gonna lie. It was a true clash of titans, they were both giving their absolute best, especially with those fierce Chops that made their chests look like raw meat. The chopfest was really amazing, but everything that came along with it, also was. The only thing that bothers me, is that it feels like the match dragged on a little bit, and the Time Limit Draw was a bit expected, so it would be a nice surprise to see one of them come out on top. Still, it was a great match, Kazusada Higuchi is not the WOTY because he had the bad luck of competing on the same year as Will Ospreay. ****1/4"
[8.0] "Going into a match featuring Kazusada Higuchi and Yuji Hino, you would expect a chopfest. Well boy did they deliver on that. The live crowd definitely got their moneys worth, with Higuchi and Hino continuing their chop-off throughout the crowd. After the chop exchange, the two really racketed up the intensity and put on a good match. Kazusada Higuchi continues to prove to be the most must-see top guy in Japan. Really looking forward to the rematch of this one."
[8.0] "A chop fest for the ages! This also did a much better job of masking the thirty minute time limit it would reach much better than the Sasaki-Endo match from previously in the tournament. I hope we get a rematch for Higuchi's title."
[6.0] "This was kind of weird.I understand the toughness contest, and Haguchi's chest looked like hamburger meat, but they did almost nothing but chop until the end. It was weirdly engrossing the longer it went on, but I think I definitely prefer more highspots and athletics in my wrestling. Still, it certainly didn't feel like a half hour, and I was surprised when time was up. This was a very different match, meaning if Hino wins, they could have a more regular rematch for the title."
[9.0] "This match is just a masterpiece! The constant chops that are interrupted when one of the men found an opening, going into suplexes or submissions and then regaining a their footing and going straight back into the chops. It truly felt like either man could win at any point! ****1/2!"
[8.0] "Good match, but exchanges were too long for me, which is understandable given they had to stretch time for the finish, but still. Other than that, there were some awesome spots between the two."
[9.0] "What an incredible time. The short time I have been watching DDT, Hino has intrigued me because he is a big dude who chops hard and lariats even harder, so to see him go against a favorite of mine in Higuchi... it ruled. They chopped one another for no less than 90% of this match, and it was BEAUTIFUL. ****1/4"
[7.0] "A genuinely fascinating contest as I cant work out if I love it or absolutely hate it, I certainly could not decide as I was watching it and nor can I decide now. Someone needs to count up the amount of chops thrown, it must surely be in the hundreds. There were some killer lariats in there too. From one minute to the next I was either completely transfixed or utterly bored. I really have no idea what to score it as I could go anywhere from ** to ****1/4."
