[6.0] "A conventional natives vs Gaijin format match. The foreign guys use brawling and more heelish antics while the hometown crew stick to clean wrestling alongside doing most of the bigger spots here. If you've watched any AJPW/NJPW stuff at all you probably get the idea here. This is also used to build up certain rivalries (I.E. Hines and Kojima facing off in the Champion Carnival) so we get some heated exchanges as well. This is mostly by the numbers however and I wasn't immensely impressed by the action going on as it mostly was just generic stuff Wall and Hines brawl on the outside with Yang and grind him down in particular for most of the duration. I thought Hayashi's hot tag was impressive as well as him and Hines just go at it with a fast-paced flow. Koji and Brookside also have some real innovative back and forths, including a really cool looking top rope cradle/bomb variation by Brookside for a near fall. The Gaijin lads gang up on Kojima and try to use the numbers game to take the advantage; but Kojima is able to land a sneaky Koji-Cutter on Brookside to take him out, allowing Yang and Hayashi to land some (admittedly sloppy) dives to the outside. With Brookside by himself, it doesn't take much time for him to fall, granted he does get a solid backslide counter to a lariat for a near fall before quickly getting ran over with a second for the win. Good tag action for the time, especially from the more talented wrestlers here like Kojima and co. Everyone gets their chance to shine and despite Wally being a obvious downgrade in quality compared to everyone else, he does his role fine as the big enforcer of the trio, preferring to roughhouse than wrestle. Good build-up for the impending Hines/Kojima match."
