They're hungry for the gold and did everything to touch it. I'll not say it was a basic 3-Way, but a cool one. They put on some cool moves from time to time. All three guys showed good character work. My guy Archer is so hated in Germany, great. The build with the 4-Way during the Carat weekend, now the 3-Way and surely a good old singles fight in the near future is giving a lot of spotlight on the wrestlers. Unexpected finish, to be honest. Is that the right thing ? Time will tell. |

So the first 8 minutes is a slog to get through because it starts out with Axel and Simmons double-teaming Archer for about four minutes. Then Archer gets the upperhand and starts beating down both Axel and Simmons at the same time, which lasts about four minutes as well. I understand wanting to build heel heat, but it doesn't look good having one guy beating up two of your top faces at the same time for such an extended period like that. From there the match becomes a free-for-all and the guys exchange big moves for the remainder. This was where the match picked up and the crowd started to get into it. Simmons is at his best when he's playing the energetic powerhouse who mows people down, and he got to show that off here. He came off looking the most impressive, so it was a deserving win. |
