[7.0] "Pretty fun 10-man tag featuring veterans like Christian and Matt Hardy, as well as up and comers like Private Party, Jungle Boy, and Luchasaurus. I have missed the ambiance of Daily's Place since the pandemic ended and it was a refreshing return to their home venue."
[6.0] "A fine, unexceptional six-man assisted by the seamless work of FTR and Fenix's 'wowsers' moves. Be he human or dinosaur, I thought Luchasaurus is looking his age, so slow he is, and the other dudes either barely-in or fodder. 2 4/5 - 3 rounded-up for the unexpected yet not unwanted heel victory as after bumping-about for Sting & co last week, FTR deserved a little (Backabella) 'pay window' love."
[7.0] "Another good AEW multi man match, they've really mastered these. Fun opener and a finish that wasn't totally clean but dirty enough without being eye rolling. Enjoyed it. ***1/2"
[8.0] "This was a very good opener. The star of the match was Rey Fenix as always. He was just on fire with his flying. Christian was in a lot and it built to the Luchasaurus hot tag, which always seems to bring the house down."
[6.0] "***1/4. I am not typically a fan of 5 on 5 non-elimination tag team matches. They are usually too bloated, creating a bloated feel that fails to utilize all workers involved properly. This match does somewhat fall into that trap as I feel like Private Party and Matt Hardy were afterthoughts with the crux of the offense being given to the Christian, Lucha Bros and Jurassic Express team. Yet, the booking did exactly what it needed to do to further the story between Lucha Bros and Jurassic Express. By teasing the tension between them, then having FTR get the pin on Christian - it legitimizes a claim for FTR to remain in the tag title scene while also keeping both Jurassic Express and Lucha Bros strong heading into their tag title match. Even Christian remains somewhat strong, despite taking the pin because he only lost due to dissension within his team. Everyone comes out of this match looking better, no one is weak and the story is developed. This is almost perfect wrestling storytelling. Unfortunately, the inclusion of Matt Hardy and Private Party are just necessary means towards accomplishing these ends. I probably would have given this match ***1/2 if there felt like some purpose to Matt Hardy and Private Party being there, even if to enhance the match through strong wrestling. They didn't need to play much of a role in the story, but at least contribute to the wrestling in a way that makes the match a better watch. Instead, they felt like they were just there, going through the motions, but not particularly enhancing them."
[9.0] "Great opening match, better than I expected to be honest. Fenix looked brilliant as usual, loved the huge pop for Luchasaurus, FTR was even more on point than they usually are."
[6.0] "Nothing more than a average, maybe slightly above the average multi man tag team. Lucha Brothers were the most entertaining part of this match."
[7.0] "A mess of multiman bout, in the good way. I admit FTR and HFO's was a bit odd in my head in the beginning but they managed to have some chemistry during a lot of sequences. JE and LB's work was also good. Everybody shined here and they told quite a good story, especially Cage."
[7.0] "A perfectly competent throwaway multi-man opener. Had all the usual crazy actions that most of these teams are known for, and a hot crowd that loved it. I'd say the correct team won here. [***1/4]"
[6.0] "A fun-filled match with all men having their work done right. The "co-existing" angle is applied here too which is 'alas' for me. Other than that, this was neither a crazy Lucha Bros spotfest nor a rough patch. Entertaining enough to be an opener! 3.25 out of 5 stars!"
[7.0] "Happy to see everyone get in on the tag team action, even Matt Hardy and Marq Quen had a smooth tag team spot. They didn't focus too much on the cohesion issues between JE and LBs, which I appreciated."
[7.0] "I am somewhat tired of seeing these 100 miles an hour multimans in AEW but this was a decent one. It was at its best when the Lucha Brothers were in there."
[7.0] "Fun multi-man spotfest that progressed the tag title angle in a way that gave it heat and teased heel Christian. All-in-all a good opener. Private Party bumped more than they did moves and Matt was barely in the match, but FTR picked up the slack well for the heel team and the face team all got some shine. Luchasaurus hot tag was great; he's a limited worker but they know that in this spot he's really good at running wild. Everything about this worked as intended. ***1/4+"
[7.0] "This match was uncut fun! Whenever the Lucha Bros and Private Party were in the ring together it was a highlight reel. Those two teams really flexed their creativity and delivered some innovative offense. It wasn't entirely a spotfest, as there was some heat within one of the teams, that set up another match. Some of the work was so ambitious that it caused some sloppiness, but the highs were lofty enough to cover for it. I am calling for the push of Private Party in 2022. ***3/4"
[7.0] "This was a good fun opener, and as with the other multi person tag matches here was an excuse to put all the fan favourites on the card at the homecoming event. Everyone had a chance to show what they could do, and there was a story of tension between Jungle Express and the Lucha Bros leading to a title match next week."
[6.0] "A passable opener. There were some cool spots and everyone got to have their moment. The Lucha Bros are perfect for throwaway multi man tags like this with their crazy offense. Christian taking the fall is questionable booking but I doubt they have much planned for him once he eventually splits off from Jurassic Express. [***]"
