[8.0] "Admittedly, I am not a fan of FTR or their egos. But if they were to have a match that blew me away, I would give them credit for it. I love the Lucha Brothers, though. Why Dax had to emulate Eddie Guerrero in this match, I don't understand. It's like the cheap heat or pop that everyone goes for these days. Just stupid. But the match itself was a ton of fun, but falls short of being a classic."

[7.0] "A fun match on ppv that flowed decentky but had some bumps in the roads at times. I think this is some of FTR's best form they had since coming to AEW and they work well with thr Lucha Brothers. Penta sure loves his taunt spamming and the finish was a little messy but I know what they were going for. Still worth checking this one out. ***1/2"

[5.0] "Upon second rewatch, the issues with the match become evident, with the pacing being virtually non existent with the build to the false finishes being nowhere to be found and the Lucha Bros seem hell bent on keeping the match in the climax for about the last 15 minutes of a 20 minute match. Good moves though."

[9.0] "I'm trying to understand why this match is so poorly rated? I agree that the end of the match was weird, but the rest of the match was exceptional. I loved every spot, the chemistry between the two teams is magnificent. FTR is one of the best teams in the world, and Lucha Bro when it comes to impressive spots, honestly, you can't beat them. It was awesome. Don't judge this entire match by just the few final seconds, it's silly."

[7.0] "That was a very good match until the ending, which totally fell flat. Shame, million dollar move with a ten cent finish kind of situation, so because the ending was so weird and anti-climactic with the mask thing, it didn't leave a good taste in your mouth when you finish the match."

[6.0] "Really firey first half. Love when Lucha Bros are in control. Great challenge for FTR even though it slows when they're dominant. The mask thing... just what."

[6.0] "Disagree with those who said these two tag teams have no in ring chemistry, I thought FTR's classic heel tactics blended nicely with the Lucha Bros more modern flippy offence style. There were some really great false finishes here, and I thought the first 90% of this match was good, albeit with a little too many big moves without meaning behind them, but the end absolutely tanked it. Made FTR look completely ridiculous and idiotic, and goes against their characters up to this point."

[7.0] "Great action in this match, but I didn't like the ending or that Rey Fenix kicked out of the frog splash and spike piledriver. Lots of good spots though, and these two teams should always be at the top of the AEW tag division."

[10.0] "I was a huge fan of this match. Really got my eyes and made me a fan of FTR and God damm was the lucha brothers title reign in AEW so good probably my favourite reign. This match is a testament to how good these 4 individuals Really are and I loved every second of it"

[8.0] "A matchup with great tag team chemistry, awesome heel stuff from FTR, and some sweet Eddie Guerrero references. The ending was just okay, but the electricity in Minneapolis helped make this my favourite match these teams have had. [4.25]"

[7.0] "This was decent but could have been a little bit better. It was sloppy at points and the two teams didnt really have the best chemistry. I think there was a few too many false finishes for my liking. The ending kind of came out of nowhere. Im not saying the match sucked though, because it was actually fun at points."

[9.0] "Dude it was even funnier and more entertaining rewatching it tag team wrestling at its best ! The ending was a bit down though given the great scale of this match, it was to set up a third battle between these two teams. FTR did a very great job as always I really love watching them doing their maneuvers ! Such as Lucha Bros actually namely Rey Fenix as always amazing me with completing the brother finisher but also jumping to Cash it was dope !"

[7.0] "This was pretty good, though I still never thought these teams had a huge amount of charisma. While structured well and really entertaining when the Lucha Brothers are on offense, the finish was very flat and FTR felt a little off here. *3.75*"

[7.0] "This match was good but something was just missing from it to make it great: FTR's heel tatics were good and the Lucha Bros's offnese was great. "The Eddie Guerrero tribute" was great and Fenix's springboard crossbody on Harwood's ass was also amazing. The ending is bad and kinda ruins everything but overall the match was still pretty fun despite that. 7/10 - 3.5*/5*"

[8.0] "A good match that could've been a lot better. It was a bit sloppy at points, and the finish came out of nowhere and made very little sense, and it seems like commentary and the audience didn't understand it either. Still a great match. ****"

[7.0] "This was a very good match that was bordering on being great until the admittedly pretty flat finish. Both teams worked really well together and the crowd was red hot for this. ***3/4"

[9.0] "Tremendous match between the Lucha Brothers and FTR here that I obviously enjoyed much more than most of the inmates or even fans in general because even at the time of the show I hadn't really heard of it, which is unfortunate considering the quality of this encounter between two of the best tag teams in wrestling history. I had good memories of it and quite honestly it was even better than I remembered, the two teams were a perfect match with each other with the two hated old-school guys against the beloved luchadors. And I really liked what was being told between the ropes, FTR's heat was great and their performance is definitely one of the most accomplished from them in the company, they were seriously unreal heels. Penta & Fenix's comebacks were just as cool and the crowd was loud for them, the four of them really told a great story in the ring with perfect execution, plus they were accompanied by a red hot crowd. My favorite part of it being the one around Eddie Guerrero, this was awesome as was the match as a whole."

[8.0] "It was a very entertaining match, with many moves and moves that would leave many of the audience with their mouths open, the best thing was to see the Lucha Brothers win."

[8.0] "I liked this match but hated the finish as it was quite random and didn't even seem like the commentary knew what was meant to happen, good match with some solid wrestling 8/10"

[7.0] "Two of the best teams in the world doing their thing, having a great match...and then the ending. The ending definitely messed it up"

[8.0] "Yeah, the finish didn't really work, but it was a great match, and I loved the Eddie Guerrero tributes."

[3.0] "This match was sloppy and unremarkable. Neither of these teams seemed to gel with each other in any of these matches. The finish was pretty bad and they didn't really do anything to justify this being a PPV-level title match on the level set by previous AEW shows. This could have easily been on Dynamite and even there it wouldn't have been noteworthy."

[4.0] "Can't help but feel like this match went on a couple minutes too long and overstayed its welcome. It became silly at one point and any move they hit seemed to not matter. The ending was also either messy or botched. A shame because I know these two teams are better than what they displayed here."

[7.0] "The match is really good, but I just can't enjoy an FTR match as much as others. I like their style but I feel like here they relied too much on cheap heat and doing headlocks all the time to break the rythm of the math instead of doing great team work like they usually do. The finish is terrible and has no logic behind it. ***1/2"

[7.0] "Good match for the most part here, with some nice tag wrestling by FTR and the usual lucha libre that the Lucha Bros do well. The execution wasn't always the best on the part of the Lucha Bros and the finish was far from the best, but this was still a very good match in my opinion. [***3/4]"

[8.0] "I didn't like Rey Fenix kicking out of the Frog Splash AND the Spike Piledriver. The ending was a bit abrupt and anticlimatic. Other than that a well worked match as you can expect from these two ***3/4"

[5.0] "I love FTR and i love Lucha Bros, but they just can't seem to have the classic match that they could have. I generally don't get too shitty about a lack of rules, but it got really messy and confusing in spots and resulted in a terrible unnecessary ending."

[8.0] "The match itself was great. Smooth and intense as I and most people were invested. FTR and Lucha Bros have a chemistry for sure but man that ending completly sucked. That was so flat. Maybe a misunderstand between the four men, that was just strange to watch."

[8.0] "Pretty good match, some interesting spots, but this ending... At least it will give us another match of these perfect tag-teams. I would really like to watch their 2 out of 3 falls match. Rey Fenix is amazing in-ring performer, he can make great matches with anybody."

[5.0] "I'm starting to think Las Ranas are not actual luchas. Their match on dynamite with the other luchas was for sure worse, but not by much. I figured the bros. would put on a great performance, but it was disappointing. I don't know what happened between these four, but they weren't operating smoothly with each other. Definitely not worth watching for a big pay-per-view championship match."

[8.0] "Giving it an 8 because of Rey Fenix. Dude is a machine at putting this stuff on. Wasn't a perfect match, but was easily the best of the relatively disappointing trilogy between these teams. Ending was super weird, but I respect the thought process behind it. Hoping for Lucha bros Vs top flight soon. ****"

[6.0] "Fun match with some sloppy spots and an exceptionally confusing ending. I kinda saw what the mask thing was going for, but it was not executed in a meaningful way and then the match just ended."

[7.0] "Good match. Fast paced tag action but still felt short of what these two teams are normally capable of. The sequences were a little off and felt clunky at times . The ending means a rematch is likely and hopefully better than this. It was still pretty good nonetheless. ***3/4"

[6.0] "The finish made sense but still just came off goofy. Classic example of overthinking it because you want to protect the challengers for a rematch, which seems to be taking place in AAA."

[9.0] "Loved this match. Two amazing tag teams. Hopefully Santana and Ortiz get a tag team title shot next and are the next champs"

[8.0] "8.35/10: The degree to which these guys have mastered wrestling' Rey Fenix, man. They make this sport so fun to watch."

"Amazing match with a healthy blend of the Lucha Libre style and Old School American wrestling style. Finish was a bit off, might have looked good on paper but was not executed that smoothly."

[9.0] "Great match here, I think the two teams worked together extremely well and gave me most of what I wanted, even though I think impressively they have an even better match in them. The finish I thought was a bit weak, my only complaint of the match."

[6.0] "This was fine, but honestly kind of underwhelming looking back on it half a day later. It was a cool spectacle which the Lucha Bros do very well, and FTR are one of the best teams ever, but this never seemed to really click. These teams didn't have a ton of chemistry in my opinion. Rick Knox is a garbage referee, he can't keep control of anything ever and just sits there while wrestlers continually break rules. The finish was also hot garbage. Just really underwhelming, which is a shame because I really hoped after their disappointing AAA title match that potential chemistry would shine through in the rematch. [***]"

[5.0] "At some point through this it seemed to become a "Moves moves moves" match, and it felt as though about half of those moves were super kicks. It was at least entertaining enough for me to be considered satisfactory until that ending, which was kind of stupid. I guess the idea is that their mask gimmick came back to bite them in the arse, but it felt as though it could have been handled better. I was expecting the ref to restart the match once he realised the wrong man had been pinned. Maybe FTR will bring it up later."

[5.0] "I can't say that this match had anything that I'll remember it for. Just an average tag team match, that I would love to see on Dynamite more than on PPV. The finish also was somewhat sloppy, crowd really didn't buy it."

[7.0] "This bordered on great, with both teams and all four competitors showing why they are among the best in the world. We also saw some beautiful tributes to Eddie Guerrero and The Brain Busters. I am a sucker for that type of storytelling when it fits. And it fit wonderfully. i have to imagine this isn't the last time these teams wrestle, but it was a damn good PPV match either way. 3.5 stars, 7 out of 10."
