[5.0] "I think I'm gonna need to explain a lot of things. Yeah, I think that the table spot was great. Yeah, I think that the stretch we had close to the first 21 Plex was great. And that's all I'm gonna say about this match in a good way. This match was the best way to explain how Rush politics looks like. We was the champion, controlled the match from the beggining into almost the end, lost for a ROLL UP, and in the end, he was the one who end up over, because Bandido was attacked. I don't care how good in ring both wrestlers are, this was dogshit."
[8.0] "This was a great match. This wasn't a flashy kind of match which is what you would expect from these two wrestlers, rather it was about telling a story. Rush had been champion for over a year by this point, and he was the overconfident, second generation heel. Bandido is the younger, aerodynamic luchadore who is looked down on by Rush and his faction, La Facción Ingobernable or LFI. This started out with an attack from Rush, but Bandido would get his babyface comeback. Easily the spot of the match was the table spot where Bandido launched himself on Rush through 2 tables outside the ring. Rush didn't want to just beat Bandido, he wanted to humiliate him as even though he kicked out of the 21-Plex, Rush didn't take advantage of an opening he had. His overconfidence became his undoing as instead of going for a victory, he went after Bandido's mask, but this allowed Bandido to surprise Rush with a victory role style pin and win the match. ****"
[8.0] "A good main event bout capped off with the surprising out of nowhere victory of Bandido. It was a very well developed face vs heel dynamic with Rush playing a cocky and smug heel while Bandido would play the role of a determined and strong willed babyface figure with the toughness, resiliency , fighting spirit and no give up attitude. Rush would break the rules frequently using foreign materials multiple times in the match taking full yet unfair advantage of his position as champion of the company and did not fear that he would be disqualified on a PPV match. Rush did great work on his character work cosplaying a slimy heel with all the dirty tricks and tropes. His cocky demeanor was prevalent throughout the match and there were several occasions where he soaked all the glory of the moment in and that would also eventually lead to his defeat as Bandido would roll him up for the 3 count. My favorite moment excluding the victory part was the table spot where Bandido goes all out in a act of desperation to do damage to the champion who dictated the pace of the match for far too long. Rush also used the outside surrounding to his advantage and as I stated before that this was because of the absence of any fear of being counted out or disqualified. Bandido still fought his way through all the barriers and obstacles to claim victory after a hard fought match. Unfortunately , for him his celebration was cut short due to the blindside but expected attack by LFI. A superb outing for both men. The story was great and the ring psychology was fundamentally present. There was a good amount of momentum and had no pacing constraints at all. It had the fire that made it even more captivating and had the fascination to it in addition It was a well earned victory for Bandido. Great content overall. ****1/4"
[8.0] "Loved the Rush heat segment at the start with the one-foot cover and all the taunting/outside attacks which transition great into turning his back on Bandido to start making the match competitive after a dive; before this Bandido was bumping his ass off for pretty basic stuff to make it look great (he sent himself like 5 feet to the side to sell a barricade being slammed against the side of his head, a bit much but still cool). These two work great together in terms of sequences and strike exchanges, even with Bandido doing less flying than normal. Table spot took a bit too long to set up but it looked gnarly and the count-out tease was exceptionally done. Rush dragging Bandido by the hair/mask and stomping his face in was the shit too, and then Bandido really starts heating up with some of his big moves like the moonsault slam as a reversal and that really cool backspring German finisher he has. The roll-up finish after Rush took the time to disrespect the mask is a very lucha way to keep the champ strong in defeat but show that he fucked up and give Bandido the win, even if it's anticlimactic by American standards. I'm sure we'll get a rematch down the line, but a damn good title win for Bandido who seems to be a sensation in the States lately by holding the PWG World Title before going into this win. ****"
[8.0] "Loved this match. It was my first time watching Rush and he impressed me with his character and heel work. Bandido played the sympathetic babyface role brilliantly here. I liked that there was feel of hatred between the two even when they were doing the back and forth of high moves. I was expecting Bandido to win but roll up win surprised me Him winning with his finisher would've been a better finish imo. 7. 70/10"
[7.0] "Not the kind of main event I was lookign forward to. Bandido wasn't as flashy as he usually is. Rush was good, but all this building heat doesn't work when there are almost no people in the crowd and when they are far away. To sum up, the match wasn't as good as you would expect."
[5.0] "I really didn't like this match that much which is disappointing since I mostly like Bandido matches however this was much more of a Rush type of match where Rush took 80 percent of the match some of the spots looked off, Rush had a hard time setting up the table spot and I did not like the finish. **3/4"
[7.0] "This could have been much better without some RUSH's shit at some key times of the match. I liked the beginning with Bandido being completly crushed all around the arena, his comeback was very affective. Match had some very good sequence dealing the weight class between the two men. Bandido showed great fire whereas RUSH can show some very good strenght and psychology when he wants it. Finish made the bout, came from nowhere and it was so good to feel it. Even if post-match angle sucked."
[8.0] "Rush was phenomenal in this match. Outstanding character work that brought the best out of him and got great fire out of Bandido, who can limit himself to just lucha libre spots at times. Bandido was surprisingly adept at working from beneath, selling in a sympathetic manner and earning a win. Rush really channeled a lot of what made him great in CMLL and pounced on Bandido, throwing him relentlessly into the barricades and smacking Bandido in the face with drop kicks. Bandido fought hard, made each moment on offence matter by toning down his usual arsenal and came off all the better for it. The shock roll up came out of nowhere but it was effective. What I would complain about though is the immediate post match attack - it was ill timed and there wasn't enough time to even let it sink in before the PPV went off the air. ***3/4"
[8.0] "Match had the Rush formula, Rush starts strong, go to the outside, throw him around choke him, then opponent makes a comeback, and they trade until Rush wins, but the start was even stronger than before, starting with the Bull Horns, I was almost afraid that'd be it, Bandido being a great underdog, I like the formula even tho the first part of the match can be quite boring, but after the comeback when Rush starts to wrestle, then it gets very good, both are very good. Roll up finish not too into it, but Bandido still won, so I can't complain much. Not a fan of the attack right after, but whatever takes for Bandido to win the title."
[8.0] "A very cool match. The pace in my opinion has never sagged. And when, for example, Rusch did nothing, he just played with charisma. It was cool. Sometimes they overdid it with techniques. In some moments, it was worth selling more, and so on. But in general, the match is cool, which I recommend to watch. ***3/4"
[10.0] "Awesome match between two Mexicans, well, it was kind of obvious that this was gonna be an amazing match, I don't know why this rating because the match was amazing"
[8.0] "Really good main event between Rush and Bandido here, typically the kind of match you hope to see when you see a match between these two gifted wrestlers coming up. Not a big fan of a finish obviously because you don't end a long reign with a roll-up but I have absolutely nothing negative to say about the action, everything was clean and I didn't notice any botch. They offered us some crazy stuff as you would expect, we got some great sequences like the one with the two tables and the crowd obviously loved it. The story was easy to understand and very effective, with both playing their parts perfectly. Rush the heel starting out way too confident and ending up getting screwed at his own game by Bandido the babyface, it made for a great moment. Bandido is now the third wrestler to be simultaneously PWG World Champion & ROH World Champion after Kevin Steen and Adam Cole, that's great for him."
[5.0] "I didn't enjoy this match very much. Everything felt pretty flat expect from the table spot midway thrue. Rush pretty much dominated Bandido from start to finish making it not very exciting."
[8.0] "I enjoyed this one a lot. Rush's heel mannerisms are great and him underestimating Bandido throughout the match made the ending make sense to me. Not the high flying spectacle some might have hoped for, but a good main event. Very excited to see what Bandido does as champion."
[6.0] "Far from the highlight of the night. It felt underwhelming despite how badly I was hoping for Bandido to win. Rumors that Rush likes to politic behind the scenes seemed likely after seeing the final minute of the match."
[8.0] "It might have underwhelmed, considering that it was the main event of a big time pov for Roh, but I still consider it to be a good match. Nothing that we haven? t seen before and probably not a best in the world roh title caliber match, but enjoyable nonetheless."
[6.0] "Not the best match in the world, of course: bell to bell it's maybe a satisfactory one but the result is huge! Gonna see next weekly now for more!"
