[7.0] "Considering how difficult these gauntlet matches are to book in a way that maintains momentum and a decent pace throughout, I thought this one did a pretty good job of it. Outside of the Dudleyz, the tag team division is definitely looking a lot less intentional than it was a few years earlier, but getting to see some of these mid/lower card guys on a PPV adds some variety to the night (Lance Storm, Hurricane). The ending with Flair and Batista coming in for the shock win is a great way to close out the match, and furthers Evolution's credibility as WWE's number one faction at the time"
[4.0] "This wasn't great, Cade and Jindrak took up a lot of time and just had 0 charisma and their blandness hurt this a lot. When they got eliminated it picked up, Test & Steiner vs Dudleyz was a solid little match. The ending with Batista & Flair was what it was. A mixed bag."
[2.0] "I honestly found this match to be quite deflating and the sign of a terrible tag team division, surprised more folks don't see it that way. These types of matches rely on star power and sharp work, and this had very little of both. The beginning was outright embarrassing, La Resistance & Hurricane/Rosey were just falling over themselves. Gindrak & Cade come in and they have flashes of being a solid team but a total charisma vacuum with some really loose work at times. The Dudleyz get in there and when they hit the 3D it's a sigh of relief. Venis & Storm are alright, but had their bad moments as well. Scott Steiner and Test in 2003 are two men I have zero interest in watching work. D-Von starts working pretty hard towards the end but it's not really enough to change my mind on the match, then they get the false win that totally worked me. Bischoff fakes them out to face Flair & Batista, and they basically squash the Dudleyz immediately. There was very little of interest here, plagued by very formulaic control segments and not much in the way of building a match."
[4.0] "I would honestly be happy if there was never another La Resistance, Dudley Boyz. Test or Scott Steiner match on PPV at this point, unless the Dudleyz magically turning into what they were in 2000 and 2001. Was going to say Lance Storm and Val Venis was random but I guess they actually were technically together earlier in the year when Venis was Chief Morley. Cade and Jindrak as a team was kind of interesting because I remember very little of their run, but they were just okay. The Batista/Flair reveal was very cool, however, and is like 90% of the 4 I'm giving this match."
[5.0] "Some of the teams seemed a little out of place or thrown together, but it was still pretty decent to watch. Cade and Jindrak felt random, but they actually had a very good showing and their bout with Venis and Storm was the best out of the whole match."
[4.0] "The quality of this match varies tremendously depending on who is in the ring. For me, the best segment was Jindrak and Cade against Venis and Storm. Moves were quick, strong, and there was a good variety in the pace. The rest was okay, but completely unremarkable. And of course, we are in the midst of the Reign of Terror, so Triple H and his buddies just HAD to close the night with all the gold on the show, so Evolution wins the tag belts at the end. It was good heel work, but I'm sure there was some backstage politicking there. An okay showing overall, but certainly not something you need to go out of your way to see."
[9.0] "La Resistance take on The Super Hero Duo to start. Hurricane botches early and I legitimately fear for his well being because it was scary. He recovers with enough in him to achieve A SPECTACULAR FINISH. Jindrak & Cade sneak in to send Hurricane to immediate urgent care because someone please look at that guy's skeleton like right now. Next in the contest is Val Venis and Lance Storm's pe-*record scratch* and it's decent enough, gets better with every passing moment actually. Cade & Jindrak are able to endure. Enter: The Dudley Boys. This all goes very well and I have no complaints, this brings room for Test & Scott Steiner to come into the fray. D-Von meets an audible doom on the outside while Bubba is decimated within the squared circle. JR & King mention how Steiner/Test are the last team but Ric Flair just before the match told Batista he's made plans to make sure all of Evolution has belts around their waists by the end of the night. I honestly did not look this up but I feel it in my bones that Naitch and 'Tist come in to win the big one. Let's see if assumptions prevail! My favorite Dudley is recovering but Bubba's being taken apart. Bubba Ray ACTUALLY HITS his second rope senton splash, good for him! Hot tag and D-Von is looking great until he runs into a suplex from Steiner. Heel miscommunication gives D-Von an open but not the out, he eats a chair shot but is saved from the pin. Bubba Bomb assist into...a...slow...crawl...Finish! NO! Here comes Bischoff to remind us there is one team who has yet to compete! Sure'nuff: Batista & Ric Flair. Squash Match, Title Change. I liked everything about this really. 8.5"
[5.0] "I find these type of matches really difficult to review as it's constantly one team against another with a huge disadvantage. It told the ongoing storyline with Evolution fine though with Batista and Ric Flair getting an easy win over the spent Dudleys team. The Cade and Jindrak run was surprisingly entertaining and the Dudleys run was good with the best match probably being them selling an injury and getting through Test and Scott Stiener. The La Resistance vs Hurricane and Rosey opener just screamed fodder. It's a bunch of short tag team matches that for the most part was okay, but the match as a whole dragged on in my opinion."
[4.0] "This was a perfectly fine match until the team of Test & Steiner came in, they slowed down the pace considerably here. Batista & Flair coming out to win the belts at the end was a great moment tho.**1/4"
[6.0] "The match is a 4 or 5 but the story they wanted to tell going in was ac9mplished which resulted in the famous picture to end the night. Turmoil stipulation is perfect because it does not waste a tag story to just get the titles on Batista and Flair."
[5.0] "This was shaping up to be pretty good until Test and Steiner got in but after that it slowed to to a crawl and never recovered. There's some good stuff in there but the last third or so of the match just ruined it."
