[4.0] "Some of the ratings on this show are wonky, including here. It isn't a terrible match, Garvin is a little slow and rusty, but outside of that the action is perfectly serviceable, especially when Badd is on offense. Heenan on commentary and Hayes yelling from his wheelchair on the stage also keep things entertaining."
[5.0] "I got used to people underrating the new Freebirds and it's not different here, as Garvin delivered a solid performance, even if he didn't wrestle for 2 years and his work wasn't the smoothest. The crowd liked it though, Mero's stuff looked very good and Hayes with Heenan were really entertaining outside of the ring."
[4.0] "This wasn't very good and it would be Jimmy Garvin's last match in WCW. Michael Hayes was supposedly injured after betraying Johnny B. Badd, so he could not compete."
[3.0] "I didn't hate this one as much as others did. The crowd was actually quite into it and Michael Hayes was really funny at ringside, especially when he was sending well-wishes to Bobby on commentary. Garvin's bumping and feeding was reasonably smooth, although he got tired at the end. This was a match for the live crowd, which is fine on a House Show but this was a Pay Per View and you expect more"
[1.0] "very annoying. no rhythm, almost non-existent action and almost endless switching of keys. it would have been a good fight if you had 5 minutes, but it could never work with your 10."
[2.0] "Garvin now looks like the uncle no one likes but always turns up at christmas stinking of booze. This match was dreadful but is not as painful as it could be because Tony and Bobby are hilarious on commentary and Michael Hayes in his wheelchair is pretty entertaining. Consider the match background noise and watch it for that."
[1.0] "There are bad matches, then there is this mess. Johnny B Badd did what he could to carry the match, but to no avail, add to that the 10+ minute match, it was horrific to watch."
[1.0] "Yet another poor match, making it 4 poor matches on this show. Jimmy Garvin had been dragged out of retirement after a year and a half to work the Freebirds' farewell match, and it is clear just how rusty he is. Marc Mero, who is a very "okay" worker, is doing his best, but this match drags on, and on, and on. Make it stop, please..."
[1.0] "Save me from the crappiness of his match... neither Garvin nor Hayes had an ounce of relevance at this point, Garvin hasn't even wrestled in two years, and boy does it show. Poor Johnny, he deserved better on PPV."
