Battle Royal Match 1993

[6.0] "Lot of big guys and recognizable names in this battle royal which can make it more fun. Outside of Gonzalez not a lot of early eliminations in this matchup. Never have been a fan of the battle royals with two winners who face off the next week. Good finally and it definitely got the winners right with 2 of WWE most talented midcarders at the time"

[6.0] "It started off a slow and took them a while to eliminate the first guys (except Gonzalez who was gone in less than a minute). But after the first commercial break, they switched gears and it turned out to be a pretty good battle royal. Particularly the final sequence with Savage & Razor against the heels was a good ending. Razor Ramon came out of this looking like a million bucks, and it made me wanna watch the following week's title match. [***1/4]"

[6.0] "Much anticipated match for me at the time. The 2 finalist would wrestle for the vacant IC title next week on Raw because Shawn Michaels was stripped of the belt for kayfabe failing to meet the 30 day minimum title defense requirement. In truth, Shawn popped for roids and got himself suspended for a few weeks."

[7.0] "Fun battle royal, with a wide range of colourful characters and personalities, and a variety of different shapes and sizes competing. I initially thought it was a bit strange when Razor, Savage, and Kid were saving each other from being eliminated, as this doesn't tend to be something that you see in battle royals from people who arent tag team partners. It all made sense in the end, however, as it was strategy that paid off for Razor and made for a really entertaining and memorable final six."

[5.0] "Good as far as battle royals are concerned with a strong ending. Once it broke down to the final six they did a great job at having Razor overcome the odds and survive. (**1/2)"

[7.0] "It was a pretty good battle royal. Razor had a solid performance and the final stretch was also quite good. I'm not sure how I feel about the idea of having a final two to decide the IC title match but whatever. [***1/2]"

[6.0] "The eliminations were spaced out so that each one felt like a big deal, which was good to start with, but got aggravating as time went on and the match started to get drawn out. I would have liked it a lot more if they had trimmed it down a bit, but it was still pretty decent for what it is."

[7.0] "An extremely fun battle royal. Got really great especially once it shrunk down to the final six. Ramon received a pretty huge pop near the end, fighting through a heel 3-on-1 beatdown and lasting to the finish. [***1/2]"

[9.0] "Great battle royal! I admit I'm a sucker for a good over the top fight like this one, and it really delivered. Fantastic choice for the final two as well."
