[10.0] "This match is just pure alchemy. Everything fell into place perfectly. People talk about which matches they would show someone to get them into wrestling and this is one of those ones that should be on the top of that list. Perfectly paced with not a dull moment. It seems crazy to say this considering how many spots there were, but I do feel like it needed one more spot before Christian picked up the title. In the very last second it does feel slightly anti-climactic. I do think D-Von and Christian punching each other on top of the ladder would've been a nice button on the match. Don't get me wrong, it's still a 10/10 and one of the greatest matches of all time."

[8.0] "This is better than their previous WrestleMania spotfest, which was over 23 minutes of spots and set-ups. Here it's around 15 minutes, and it seems like the sweet spot for such a match. It feels a bit more organic and to the point. Of course there's a bunch of set-up, but the sports are great, most notably that Spear mid-air and the final spot. Spike, Rhino and especially Lita add to the madness in a good way, but at the end of the day, it's a glorified spotfest... A good one, but like most spotfest, I don't enjoy it quite as much as most do. ***3/4"

One of the most talked-about matches in history, respected by various audiences and defining the TLC genre -- all of this status could not have been achieved without the participants disregarding their bodies and even their lives. While everyone else was chasing big spots, E&C, just like in their other ladder matches, were focused solely on winning with minimal damage, and that is exactly why they won all of their ladder matches. The outside interferences (Lita, Rhyno, Spike) were completely logical and added a dynamic layer of color. Crazy spots, sick bumps, and the legendary spear spot. ****3/4"

[10.0] "This is still my favorite match of all time, the match that made me a huge Jeff Hardy fan. A feud between 3 tag teams, thirsty and hungry for the tag titles, each one with their specialties in the second TLC match ever. I know there were some small botches like when Jeff tried to walk from ladder to ladder, but still, that match delivered not only one of the greatest spotfest & hardcore matches ever, but one of the greatest matches in general. It was literally the best match from WM X-Seven, even better than Rock vs Austin, which was awesome. And how could I forget the spots, man: Edge & Christian being insane with the chairs (btw, I can see that Edge kinda starts with his "Ultimate Opportunist" persona here), The Dudleys absolutely phenomenal, specially Bubba with that powerbomb to Jeff Hardy onto Edge onto a table, which was sick, and of course, the Hardys, which had Jeff not only doing a swanton off a ladder to D-Von onto another ladder, as well as his sickening bump from Edge's spear, and of course, when Rhyno pushed off the ladders where there were Matt and Bubba, crushing them onto the stacked tables on the outside. The interferences also made the match even more memorable and enriching for the story, with Spike, Lita and Rhyno. Until now, my favorite tag team match & wrestling match of all time, rewatched it multiple times and a great continuation of the triple tag team feud, which I also consider to be the best tag team feud ever. *****"

[8.0] "[4, 25 Stars] I hadn't seen this match in years, and now I realize it has quite a few flaws, so I have to lower my rating."

[10.0] "You want words to describe that? How about sick, painful, disgusting, amazing, athletic, insane and awesome all at the same time? I don't care that the concept was done before. It's not easy to partake in one of these matches. Yeah, this was the third one in the series, but they found ways to make it different. The addition of Rhyno, Spike and Lita added something good to the match that wasn't there before. The spots in this match were once again awesome as all six guys, plus their three friends, busted their asses to put on a great show. As usual, Jeff Hardy took the most insane bumps with the Swanton onto two people as well as the spear he took from Edge while hanging onto the belts. It was one of the sickest bumps I have ever seen and quite frankly I'm surprised he could walk after that one. I'm always shocked by these guys walking away without major injuries, although Edge did end up having major neck surgery a few years later and as we know it forced him to retire early. Christian was impressive when fell all the way to floor when he was pushed off the ladder. Two minutes after that when Spike came down Christian took the Dudley Dog from inside the ring to the floor through a table. Then of course there was the bump by Matt & Bubba off the giant ladder through the stacked tables on the floor. That was just crazy. The other thing that sticks out is the chemistry these teams had. They had everything planned out so meticulously and perfectly. It worked in every way possible. I liked the ending of this one better than the other two, which makes it the best of the three. I liked it because it was heels acting like heels, cheating to win a match on the biggest stage of them all. I like that a lot. Also of note is the time of the match. Sixteen minutes is the right amount of time. I'm not docking the quality of the match because of interference. They were part of the match too. Two of them got taken out and the one that didn't get fully taken out, Rhyno, played a part in the finish because he was a force. It was part of the story. I've probably seen this match 10-12 times in my life. Watching this I knew what spots were coming, but it didn't get old for me. It never will. It was an amazing performance by six guys who formed three of the best tag teams in the history of the business. They'd end up having a four team TLC on Smackdown in May that was pretty good if you've never seen that, but this was the cherry on top in terms of the triangle tag team feud. Paul Heyman said it best when he said they gave us a match that we will never forget."

[10.0] "Legendary match from the greatest pay per view of all time. Tremendous performances from the Dudleyz, Edge & Christian, & the Hardy Boyz as well as Little Spike Dudley, Rhyno, & Lita. A brutal match for sure, with the pacing bringing things to a brisk speed that constantly feels like combustion. Great call by JR saying referring to car crashes on I-10, great local nod that perfectly describes this famous match."

I had no issues with any of the run ins, in fact I'm more than glad lita got to be a big part of the match with some great spots of her own. Three of the best tag teams to ever do it, so good"

[10.0] "The rematch from both the previous WrestleMania and SummerSlam saw the interference from Lita, Spike Dudley, and Rhyno, which added to the chaos. This was so much fun to watch and I think it's their best match outside of the one a few weeks later with Benoit and Jericho."

[9.0] "This was a great TLC match, just has non-stop moments coming in left and right. The spear to Hardy is indefinitely the highlight and Matt and Bubba's table crash was a highlight as well. The one thing I hated and the only this I hated, was when Spike, Rhyno, and Lita came out to help their respected teams. Excluding them though, this was a very fun match to watch."

My tastes in wrestling keeps changing; I used to see this as a great match but not anymore, but still that was very good for what it wanted to be, for the capabilities of these teams this was surprising in some terms, and yeah that was basically it, I thought they did very good for what they've got and for the direction of the match itself, it was really a good match but not an all time level match for me, but I get if you see it like that, totally respect that."

[5.0] "I love spotfest wrestling bit hardcore and not and that is infact the point of matches like this. So this being said if I was watching this with 2001 eyes it would be seen as great top level match, but watching in modern eyes this has been bypassed as a spots fest match. Be stuff like cage of death matches or Death dome matches or even the is better Crazy Crusher vs. Hell Storm is better spot fest so a better ladder natch and that what matters. Any hardcore style match be it fmw, Big japan WWE or any promotion."

[10.0] "What can you say about this match that hasn't been said already? As far as I'm concerned this is the greatest ladder match of any kind, bar none. It's absolutely bonkers at how much they were able to get into this match in just 15 minutes. Younger fans who weren't old enough to see this when it happened may not understand the impact that this match had on the industry. So many of these spots had never been seen or done before. I normally hate outside interference, but even that added to the match for the better. These guys sold like crazy for each other, and yet, wasted very little time. I'm not sure a match like this could ever be replicated. Incredible job by all those involved."

[10.0] "This match is definitely the best in TLC history in my opinion and is one of the top two with ladders. This match simply couldn't be bad. It had everything we love about wrestling. The participants didn't give up and used their bodies like dummies for the audience's enjoyment. The chemistry between everyone and the choice of venues for the match were simply superb: Dudley with tables, Hardy with ladders, and Edge and Christian with chairs.There were so many legendary moments in this match.Absolute cinema!"

[9.0] "Standing on Matt's balls was diabolical from Edge and Christian. And I found it funny how D'Von completely missed the headbutt early on in the match. I didn't know from all I have heard of this match how much interference happened. Honestly if Jeff was able to pull off the tightrope spot, it would have made the great spot 100x cooler."

[9.0] "An insane spotfest that had some truly incredible moments, though I thought the finish was a little anticlimactic. Everyone put on solid performances but I feel that The Dudley's somewhat got lost in the shuffle and felt almost underutilized. It was fun to see someone come out and try to help all three teams with Lita, Rhyno & Spike all having cool spots also getting in on the crazy bumps. The spot of the match to me was the picture perfect Spear Jeff Hardy takes from midair that I honestly don't think could have been done any better. This had to have been the match of the night and I liked E&C going over. No less than 4 stars."

[7.0] "Very overrated , the match is a chaos without an impact , The match have like 3 or 4 spots ? JUST LIKE THAT ? and a souless Ending , I expected a lot more than this, the lenth was right for some real chaos and a lot of action but I didn't feel the match reached what I wanted it to. ***1/2"

"This is the first wrestling match I remember watching as a child- it very distinctly stuck in my mind given the incredibly dangerous high-spots. I watched it back very recently as I go back through the Attitude/Ruthless Aggression eras of WWF/E, and I find it even better than I remembered. The incredible depth of work on display here: amazing coordination between the three teams, oddly symbolic representation of the identities of the three teams by way of their weapons of choice (and, distinct strengths and weaknesses with each of the others' sets of tools), and the blending of their three distinct styles ebbing and flowing throughout the match. There is no definite point where you know which of the three teams will win, even to the very last table spot (set up less than halfway into the match) . The entire match is like some homicidal mad dash to the finish for each group, and they execute it basically to perfection. It's a show stealing match with some of the most incredible work of this time period. An absolute classic."

[10.0] "This match is the match that I constantly rewatch as a kid, one of the match that got me into wrestling, rewatching this again as an adult, it's just as amazing as I remember."

[9.0] "(9.3) One of the best Mania matches to date. Non stop action from start to finish, ridiculous spots scattered throughout, could have been an all timer if the ending wasn't so sudden."

[10.0] "If WMx7 is the best Mania ever, this match is without question the biggest reason why. An unofficial adios to the Attitude Era and welcome to the Invasion, these six with assistance from Lita, Spike & Rhyno put on arguably the greatest spectacle of all time. The conclusion to their trilogy of ladder matches, it somehow topped the previous WrestleMania and TLC I at Summerslam. Matt & Christian took underrated bumps that are forgotten because of the insane bumps Jeff Hardy took"

[10.0] "It's just an unbelievable match and just like they did at WrestleMania and SummerSlam last year, these six just put everything on the line in another car crash spectacle that had bigger bumps than either of those matches. The spot Christian takes probably gets underrated there they had the set up with the three ladders toppling over and he takes a painful looking spill where he's tipped off the ladder and nothing breaks the fall where he crashes straight to the outside. Lita, Spike and Rhyno all get involved in the match and Rhyno in particular is like a wrecking ball as people take spill left and right when he's in there and he sends Bubba and Matt flying through the four tables off the rampway off the really tall ladder and they just explode under them with very little give. Of course Jeff takes the biggest spot where he's dangling high in the air and Edge spears him. Its just an unbelievably dangerous spot."

[9.0] "It might sound strange, but this match didn't connect with me very well. I know, maybe I'm the wrong one, this is rated 9.59 right now in the moment I'm typing, impossible for me be the right one, but some small details bothered me a lot. Like, why the hell we had so many interferences? The match ifself is perfect, no question, but like, why he had Rhyno, Spike Dudley, Lita, like, I felt this was so unnecessary man lmao. DON'T GET ME WRONG, again, I love interferences and when they're properly executed, I pop so much for them. Sadly, was not the case. We can't deny greatness, of course. The Spear Edge did on Hardy might be the best spot of all time and I'm not even joking, Bubba and Matt being throwed into the pile of tables was nasty, they both look like dead bodys when they fall, everything related JUST for spots, in my opinion, was awesome. Sad that this didn't clicked on me."

[10.0] "Easily the match of the night. This smokes Rock vs Austin later in the night. Just a complete car crash and inspiration to tag team wrestling."

[10.0] "Easily one of my favourite match of all time. So many innovative spots. All that at the biggest stage possible, incredible. Everyone involved made it happen and made it perfect. Even the "botch" looked real. Nothing much needs to be said, 10/10. Can't be duplicated!"

[9.0] "An iconic wrestling car crash, this holds up impressively well, even after countless attempts at a modern replica. That speaks to the match's creativity as well as its sheer guts, risking life and limb in the name of a sequel-worthy spectacle. In truth though, those ingredients have occasionally been matched in the near-25 years since, but I don't know if this incarnation's charm has been. There is so much personality to this match, particularly with the rotating run-ins. That dynamic allows for a theatre beyond the stunts themselves, an excitement still rooted in genuine investment. As these matches swing bigger and bigger, that sense of soul and spirit is all the more striking. ****1/2"

[9.0] "shortest 20 min of my life, it starts fast and never stops until it ends. the match is a spotfest but it understands that and does the job pefectly, all the spots are crazy, everybody has their moment, the pace of the fight is frenetic with no rests, the camera angles and replays are perfect, its all i asked out of 20 min of people going through tables and using big ass ladders. also the match is very technical, there are barely any mistskes even with all the complex spots going on and the tension is great through the match, anything can happen, anyone could win. my only gripes is the ok ending (it wasnt tense to see who was going to win since seeing both cristian, rhino and edge it was obv they were going to win) and that the match didnt have an extremely interesting storyline attached to it extremely fun 9, 5/10"

From Rhyno appearing to Spike Dudley hitting some wild moves on Edge and Christian to Lita hitting a hurricarana on Bubba Ray, this had every aspect of a wild match. Everyone involved was being put through tables, getting hit with chairs, being pushed off ladders, it was the definition of a spot-fest, but i was all for it. Not one second of this match left me uninterested or bored, a pure Wrestlemania classic."

[10.0] "One of the defining matches of the attitude era, and all three teams were on fire at this point in their careers too. There will never be another TLC match like this!"

[10.0] "The only problem I have is rhyno helping edge and christian in the end but since it's a no dq match so I don't complain about it. This match was the epitome of car crash spotfest. Everyone being involved had something to do in the match. and the edge spearing Hardy from the 20 feet of the ground is still the highlight of the century."

The third TLC match between these 3 teams (I know the first one was a Triangle Ladder) was also the best of them while every single one was fucking phenomenal, holy shit. Of course we have the two most famous spots of Edge spearing Hardy from the ladder while he is hanging on the belts and the classic Swanton Bomb from the ladder to the tables, which he already tried on the SummerSlam 2000 match but he failed. This match actually has A LOT of other crazy and insane spots and I appreciate that even if they looked similar to the major spots on the other matches, there was always something different and unique. All three participations of Rhyno, Lita and Spike Dudley were amazing and these type of interferences are the best ones, they define the Attitude Era. I popped a lot for the 3D on Lita too, lol. These guys put their lives on the line and Christian had a scary bump from the ladder. This whole trilogy was a piece of history that changed Tag Team Wrestling forever."
