[10.0] "3/4 matches with The Lucha Bros and FTR, all in AEW, just bangers man. FTR left the WWE to prove how absolutely amazing they are with tag team wrestling, for sure one of the best teams for sure man. Penta and Fenix are just arguably the best brother tag team, up there with the bucks, Hardy's, The Steiner brothers, etc. Just great wrestling all around uce."

[4.0] "This was a bit of a sloppy match where they took away the tag ropes, so it was just like any other tag match in AEW. Lucha Brothers looked like they had trouble doing their own spots while Dax had to wait on his back like a dunce for a cooperated double team move to happen. It broke down and had legal man syndrome, no attempts at heat with confusing psychology between FTR trying to keep their tightness but Lucha Bros. are so loose and just let people switch in and out without trying to block them. Rotten match. Nice de-masking spot. That's it. **"

[7.0] "Looking back on their first match, it's actually mildly disappointing to be honest. A bit of a style clash at first, but they fight through the contrast styles and manage to mesh it up pretty well. A good finish as well to put FTR over as a heelish tweener. Lacks a lot of little something to push it to an all-timer, but very good stuff for a first-time ever meeting. [***1/2]"

[5.0] "A disappointment... I found it rather slow and instead of engaging with each other as personalities or with a story, this was indie move-based. By the end of the segment, I was confused as to why now 'FTR' chose to heel-on both their opponents, already strongly-built heels, and The Elite. I guess the slow-build wasn't popping, or was it always intended this way?"

[5.0] "They are both good tag teams but i don't think this is a good match. The whole thing comes off like a disappointment. They didn't show much chemistry at all. The action overall wasn't bad but nothing was truly outstanding. This was just tedious back and forth action between two teams. There was no real drama or storytelling, which didn't help much either. However, the finish was legitimately great which emphasized the FTR's character as a old school style team. That's the only good thing to talk about this match."

[6.0] "This is a good match on paper, but the differences in style was just too much. They didn't seem to have any chemistry at all. They're such great workers they managed a decent match despite that fact, but it was a disappointment considering what I was hoping for. ***1/4"

[5.0] "Chemistry just didn't look to be there. Would have been hard to live up to the hype and perhaps down the road a better outing will be had. That weird combo move Lucha Bros. tried at the start was illogical with Pentagon taking more of a hit than Dax. I think in their mind they had a better match planned than what the execution actually was. **1/2"

[7.0] "I just love the intensity FTR bring to every match and they just look so good and believable in the ring, it's great. Lucha Bros were themselves for much of this, which is a high standard, but I expected more from the styles clash I think. It felt like a great setup match for something bigger, and probably it was just that: a taste of what a real feud between these teams might be. Considering the allegiances of FTR are unclear and Lucha Bros are no faces either, this was almost a tweener vs tweener match, with both teams using underhanded tactics at some points. Fenix' face was clearly visible on television after the finish, which I hope does not get him into trouble in Mexiko."

[7.0] "Good match - could've been better. I wonder if they intentionally held back to build to a better match on a PPV or future feud. It started hot but it wasn't as clean as these 2 teams normally are. Especially Pentagon, I feel like he's maybe got a bit of ring rust. It's forgiveable given the situation and I know these 2 teams can pull out something better in the future."

[9.0] "Great match that I think could have been even greater. Two minor complaints that held it back a bit, first I wasn't a fan of that moment where both teams stopped to do a taunt off, get that kind of wrestling away from me please. Second, wasn't a fan of seeing FTR doing a dive. It's kind of their whole shtick that they don't do that, right? But in terms of the action, it's good stuff for sure."

[8.0] "Due to the heat and humidity, these guys looked a step off at the start, with a few botches or just rough looking moves. However, by the second half I think they had found a bit of a groove that really worked. Working a stiffer, more hard hitting match worked well and it felt like these teams hated each other. Also a clever end to keep the match fresh for some rematches down the line ***3/4"

[7.0] "Nowhere near the classic that I have come to expect from the Lucha Bros. Any team could have won and I knew FTR was gonna win but still I was hoping that Lucha Bros won. Rey Fenix as always was the MVP although Hardwood was also really great. FTR was good but they can do better from what I have seen. The ending with Hardwood taking a cheap win for his team was really great booking as it protects the Lucha Bros a bit. The commentators especially Excalibur made it a point to say that if it was Mexico, the Lucha Bros would have automatically won by DQ. It also sets up another tag team match between the Lucha Bros and FTR, one that Lucha Bros hopefully win. ***3/4"
