Back with the Swirl making a comeback with dives, but Toa lays them out on the floor and back in for the double chokeslam on Lee for the pin. Just an extended squash. **"
[4.0] "Was this match really necessary? I like GOA a lot and their recent work have been great, but that does not feel like a Dynamite match at all, and doing it in the Anniversary Show of all places is definitely a choice. I believe match went too long for the purpose they were doing it, and really felt like a waste of time."
[5.0] "It was quite obvious that Gates of Agony were going to win this match as they went up against Blake Christian and Lee Johnson. Gates of Agony's usage as of late has made me happy they are underrated as a team, and with Ricochet on their side, this has been a fun stable since their formation of the Demend."
[6.0] "A fun display of character heel work as Kaun and Liona impose their way through squashing the Swirl. Cheap shot to start from Kaun and Liona clobbering like it's nobody's bussiness (even when he is not the legal man, get that heat big man). The dynamic between Danielson and Ricochet on commentary was hilarious, especially during commercial break. Very enjoyable for what it was."
[5.0] "Just an extended squash with the same formula they normally have in AEW where the better team starts hot and at one point the underdogs get a little glimmer of hope both it is snuffed out in the end. Still a watchable match as all 4 men are great workers and i like both teams. I think the match was nesercarry as the Swril wanted their lick back from when the GOA beat them up backstage before they joined ricochet. Overall a standard well worked squash probably went a couple minutes too long as after getting the win of THS at ALL Out there was zero chance GOA were losing this. (**1/2)"
""[2]I very bad squash match . Very strong heel work from as always and working as the underdog. Some very work during the break before a standard back and forth sequence in the second but what if not half to close things out. There's some interferences here that do bring the match down a bit for me, car interference at the finish which felt a bit awkward but well overall, the work here is good enough that it offsets that.""
[4.0] "A few good sequences, but nothing truly memorable. There was more to be done with these two teams, especially to build them even more solidly in the tag team division. In-ring quality: 1/4. Stakes: 0.5/2. Justification: 0.5/1. Placement on the card: 1/1. Suspense: 0.5/1. Bonuses/penalties: none. Total: 4.5/10. Match seen on Triller TV."
[5.0] "Pretty much an extended squash. Not much to it outside of that but GOA looked good here and I enjoyed Blake and Lee's brief comeback before they ultimately got put down. **1/2"
[6.0] "GOA's match against The Swirl was a brief but effective contest, primarily designed to cement the former as a dominant duo within AEW's tag team division. On the positive side, Kaun and Liona imposed their physical style from the outset, displaying power, coordination, and an imposing rhythm that gave their opponents little chance. Their dominance was convincing, and the pair's chemistry continues to strengthen, helping to project them as a serious threat in any scenario. However, on the negative side, the match felt more like a one-sided exhibition than a competitive duel. GOA's victory was never in doubt, and while it served to bolster their image, the lack of suspense diminished the overall impact of the match. Furthermore, the relatively short runtime meant it failed to stand out from the other matches of the night. Narratively, it served as a transitional piece, putting GOA back on the map as a dominant force and giving them exposure on a card loaded with big names, though it didn't contribute much to the evolution of broader storylines within the tag team division. 6/10."
[4.0] "An 8 minute match between a heel team that is recently getting kinda popular, and a heel team of two guys who I honestly don't see much potential with in or out of the ring. Genuinely don't understand why they were given this much tv time considering what they had to work with. This should have been 5 minute squash match at most, just very boring and heatless. Nobody thinks the swirl has any chance to win, and the work in the ring isn't good enough to make you overlook that or just enjoy the action for what it is."
[5.0] "Was a domination match from GOA, Blake Chrisitan & Lee Johnson didnt had much to do int his, Kaun & Liona are good squasher though but a bit too long to my taste for it to be a nice squash."
[6.0] "Just a fun squash match. High flyers vs. size and strength. Coming around to this Swirl team, they are a bit undersized but good athletes. Gates of Agony go from strength to strength."
[6.0] "No one, and I mean no one expected Swirl (Blake Christian and Lee Johnson) to win this match. They are basically forever stuck as charisma-less lower midcarders who lose every single match they're in on AEW, as opposed to ROH where they actually win sometimes. This was mostly a squash match with a few occasionally fleeting moments of Swirl regaining momentum, although GOA really did dominate about 90% of the match, utilizing their size, power and teamwork to their advantage. Ah well, not a big fan of squash matches."
