[5.0] "This was solid, but it kinda get lost in being a preview of the cage arena. And even if I have lots of hype for that lights out steel cage match, Im a little sad that seeing JetSpeed finally getting the upper hand against the DeathRiders has not felt as big as it should because it was lost in the bigger picture of the bigger rivarly. Props to Speedball, who I think was the MVP in this DR vs JetSpeed rivarly. ***"
[6.0] "A good match to kick things off and bridge the gap to the PPV. In-ring quality: 1.75/4. Stakes: 0.5/2. Justification: 1/1. Placement on the card: 0.5/1. Suspense: 1/1. Bonuses/penalties: none. Total: 5.75/10. Match seen on AEW Plus."
[6.0] "Mr. Tanahashi being in this match was nice. I know he's on his last hurrah before he retires. It's crazy that two of the best to ever do it are retiring this year, with Hiroshi Tanahashi and John Cena. I'm enjoying the last time these men grace us in the square circle. But like I said, this match was nice. I did like this face vs. heel Six-Man Tag team match. JetSpeed tagging with Tanahashi was a nice call because they meshed really well with each other. The Death Riders were really good in this match, and since June, they turned a corner for me because they became enjoyable for me as a unit now. They aren't a joke, but this was a very nice opening match in Scotland."
[5.0] "I was actually having a lot of fun with this match besides having to once again watch Hiroshi Tanahashi hobble his way through a match. Thankfully they utilized Ace sparingly in this and saved the heavy lifting for JetSpeed who as usual looked great here. Death Riders worked a Death Riders match but JetSpeed elevated the match especially Kevin Knight's jump rope counter of Claudio Castagnoli's giant swing. The match really lost me in it's climax which involved interference from The Bullet Club War Dogs which sounds exciting but it was a very flat surprise. Maybe AEW fans aren't as familiar with Bullet Club as much as I thought or maybe they are familiar and they don't care but the anti pop followed by a pretty unorganised run in that didn't change the outcome of the match. The best part of this segment was what followed the match but the match itself was a fun but flawed bout that felt poorly planned"
[6.0] "A really fun match with some great work from all 6 man but it was the definition of a road to match with teases ahead of the match on Sunday. Tana and Jetspeed were great in this match and got a huge reaction From the fans. Jetspeed had their usual high spots throughout the match and Tana looked pretty decent and hit some nice moves the senton on Yuta was so cool as Was the triple twist and shout. The death riders were good in this match and had good heat Yuta and Claudio did most of the work with Mox heeling it up breaking the rules to stop tags then had a great extended heat segment during the match working knight in the corner to loud boos. Nice bit of comedy with Will coming out to take marina after she got thrown out the match. Overall a pretty fun match with some nice spots and good to see the faces get the win and a great post match angle. (***1/4)"
[4.0] "This was a bit of a mess, not necessarily due to any work in the ring, but due to the interference at the end, which bizarrely did not even lead to the Death Riders winning. Tanahashi is clearly struggling post G1, but I thought he was actually decent here considering, nobody really stood out though, everyone just felt pretty average. Tanahashi pinned Yuta with the High Fly Flow for the win, a decent showing but not one to seek out."
[4.0] "It's a really bad, boring match, and above all, Tanahashi is in terrible condition. I love Ace, I consider him one of the best wrestlers in history, but now he's finished, his knees are crying out for mercy. Then the ending is horrible."
[3.0] "It's a by the numbers deathriders tag match which you have seen about million times before, so tired of this whole act. It should have ended at All In but it just keeps going with no end in sight. Novelty of seeing Tanahashi on Dynamite was cool at one point but it has worn off."
[5.0] "[2.5*] I thought this was on the verge of becoming another very fun match for this Death Riders vs Jetspeed mini-feud, but the appearance of the fucking War Dogs ruined everything. Man, they got zero pop. Like, you could hear the crickets. It was fucking embarrassing, dude. I was enjoying the hell out of the match and it killed my vibe. The execution wasn't good either. Anyways, the Mox & Yuta vs Jetspeed tag match on Collision was miles better."
[8.0] "I was really more at a 7.5 than an 8 but I would round up I actually thought this probably needed A little more time to cook, I didn't think we got enough of Jet Speed on offense, I also thought Tanahashi did some cool stuff, and that this was a fun little match, I think this might set up Jet Speed against two members of Bullet Club War Dogs For Forbidden Door Zero hour which would be cool."
[4.0] "Death Riders are fine, Jet Speed is impressive as always.Tanahashi delivers a worrying performance! I hope he can survive forbidden door. I loved the brawl after - that was a solid performance, getting everyone in."
"A fine match to put a nice bow on the JetSpeed/Death Riders feud. Good stuff from everyone involved with working knees, and Tanahashi looks okay for someone who just left a hard G1. He wasn't going all out before Sunday, or he wasn't making it there. Pushed the build for Forbidden Door nicely, and gives JetSpeed a win over the Death Riders after three losing efforts. 6/10 when I can add a rating."
[3.0] "Man, this just wasn't good. Also, Hiroshi looked like he couldn't run OK, hell, it looked like he couldn't wrestle well anymore. The Death Riders are just stale now and Jetspeed are fine. This was just a bad match honestly"
[5.0] "This had fun moments, but it was a filler and a set-up to the big post-match angle between the babyfaces and heels of AEW. The match itself could've been better, specially considering the nice moments like Ospreay carrying Marina and returning with a trash bag, and other comedy moments, but it also had weird moments, like the beginning of the match out of nowhere, and the random members of War Dogs appearing. A mix of enjoyable and awkward moments but I've liked this match - {**1/2}"
[6.0] "This was a good 6-man tag team match. It was quite dynamic, even with a slow pace. The Death Riders are always so good in their booking. The exchanges and the mix of dynamics were just perfect."
[5.0] "Tanahashi really is now on his last legs. The way he sometimes hobbled around the ring was painful to watch. I was gonna go 6 on this match but the rubbish finish made me knock it down a point. Tana up on the top rope for what seemed like an age waiting for the run it by the War Dogs and when it came the crowd obviously didn't know who they were. Then the overbooked post match! Perhaps even 5 is too high."
[6.0] "This was no wrestling classic but it was a blast. Tanahashi was protected perfectly here. Will Ospreay dipping in and out for comedy cameos was well played, the after match shenanigans worked really well. Good start to the show."
[6.0] "A solid opener that wasn't meant to be spectacular, and it shows. Just a preview with a lot of people involved before this weekend's Lights Out Steel Cage. The action was okay, with a very energetic final few minutes and the longest set-up ever for a High Fly Flow."
