[8.0] "A great match which keeps you on the edge of your seat throughout. There are a number of creative spots such as DIY faking the tag for the first fall, Ciampa crawling under the ring to stop MCMG from getting a tag and Gargano using Sabin to break up a pin. It's a shame for whatever reason the crowd aren't into it at all but I don't believe that takes much away from the match itself."
[5.0] "This was really sad, we have two of the best tag teams ever and the crowd didn't make a single noise not one boo or cheer which is a shame because these 4 guys deserve better and the in ring work was actually good. I wish these 2 teams would run it back in a company that deserves them. (2.75*)"
[8.0] "Incrdible match, only held down by the fact that it wasn't allowed long enough, seeing these two teams go at it in a 2 out of 3 falls match up was great, seeing them get 20 minutes at least would have been even better!"
[4.0] "Should have been so much more, but the dead crowd just kills this match. When the Street Profits show up and cost MCMG the final fall, not a single noise is made in the arena. It is beyond sad to see. These teams are capable of so much more but being given the death spot just killed it."
[5.0] "A decent match that was ruined by the terrible crowd. I think the crowd reactions they got here was the reason WWE decided to leave the smack down tag titles off of Wrestlemania."
[6.0] "This was pretty underwhelming for the teams involved, as I started getting into wrestling this year just before the rumble I did not care about tag wrestling and this match unfortunately didn't change my mind. It's unfortunate because both teams are capable of much more."
[9.0] "I'm so confused by the rating because this was a really good tag match. My only gripe is that DIY could have just cheated without the Street Profits interference, and just have Montez & Angelo lay out both teams after the match. Also, while this was a great match, a 2/3 falls match should be given more time. Could have cut the mens rumble a little shorter in all honesty"
[2.0] "It could have been a better match but the pacing was really inadequate, every fall felt very botchy (even with the crowd feeling that), and everything ends with a posible triple threat match to wrestlemania but with a nonsense building before that. [*]"
[6.0] "I mean, two out of three falls in only 14 min with distraction at the end is honestly baffling time allocation. probably would have been better just as a single fall just so the fall has a little more time."
[2.0] "This was a dream match in the hands of the wrong company, and the results prove it. Both DIY and MCMG have world class 2-out-of-3 falls matches under thier belts, but they were not given the room or stage to live up to their legacy here. There isn't a lot else to say: it was too short, badly paced, and had a swerve confusing finish that completely undermined any bright spots that the wrestlers worked for in the time allotted. Sabotaging things further was a crowd that doesn't know crap about MCMG and probably had no idea what they are looking at. Given the way WWE booked this, it's hard to blame them, either."
[9.0] "A very very good match between two of the best tag teams in WWE. I would have handled the interference of the Street Profits better, but it wasn't a bad match at all. My only criticism of the match: the first fall was too short. With a longer first fall, it would have been an authentic show stealer."
[6.0] "The most disappointing match of the whole night, not that bad but they could've definitely put on a much better show. The first fall happened too soon but the two teams were able to raise a bit the pace with some good spots. Not a bad match, but still, they could've done such an amazing match"
[6.0] "This wasn't that bad, but it was pretty disappointing considering how high level these two teams are and how mediocre this match was. If given a little more time, I think this could have done much better. Anyways, the crowd seemed bored at the beginning of the match but they picked up near the end, the finish was pretty anticlimactic but further drove the story of the tag titles."
[5.0] "Bro, I was so excited for this match and I thought it was gonna cheer me up after the women's rumble, but sadly, that wasn't the case. Why do WWE fans not react to either team? They're amazing in the ring. Also, this match wasn't given much thought which upsets me cause all I wanted was a banger of a tag team title match between DIY & MCMG."
"Most disappointed ive been in a match in a long time, crowd clearly didnt care about the wrestlers performing and the short length, a fall that the commentators spent like a minute straight explaining afterwards and a poor ending didn't help. Had no reason to be 2oo3falls except to break my heart :(( Stop fumbling mcmg hunter you bald boy"
[5.0] "It just was. Nowhere near as good as on SmackDown. Unnecessary for me as a viewer who watches wrestling show at home. Perhaps, the audience in Indianapolis enjoyed, although I don't really think both DIY and MCMG entertain people. Rather few people care of them. The match cropped up as they had to make a tag team championship match at PLE for the first time since WM, but on RAW the situation was and still worse than on SD"
[4.0] "Poorest match in this card, terrible considering Gargano especially how great his work is in 2 out of 3 falls matches.Given only 15 minutes is selfish from creative and the overall match was okay it's just the time given, they couldn't help it but they can do better at least.Overall, crowd was not up for this at all so a poor match."
[7.0] "Good tag match. Good in ring action, good pacing, good tandem tag, good storytelling, nothing too exceptional but everything was done with a quality standard. Crowd was dull at the beginning but these guys managed to win them back towards the end with very good ring work. They were pressed for time and the falls happened much more quickly than expected in a 2 out of 3 falls match but overall, they managed to work a tightly knitted match even if there wasn't a lot of drama to it. the ending was a bit anticilmatic and the post match angle was awkward but I can buy it. Good match overall but felt more like a tv match with the short time given against such a stipulation. ***1/2"
[6.0] "Once again, it had five-star match potential and they wasted it all down the drain. Give them the time and give them the stage and they can never EVER disappoint. They started off well and showed shades of tag team perfection and booking still dropped the ball on them. How do you screw up these four guys is beyond me. It was still good for what we got but the finish deflated it considerably. ***1/4"
[4.0] "I was in the stadium for this show and I was honestly embarrassed by how little reaction they were getting from my section for the first fall... It wasn't terrible, the crowd definitely dragged it down. Indianapolis didn't deserve the match these four were trying to give to them."
[5.0] "This match in my opinion was not too good and it's a shame considering the level of the workers involved. The first fall comes definitely too early and the screwy finish was perhaps not the best and has not too much sense in the storyline"
[4.0] "First of, these are some of the best wrestlers/tag teams ever. But the booking killed this match. From the get go no one seem to care including the company for them. And it was announced that they're gonna have a match at the ple, I wasn't gassed at all, simply because for me rumble ppv should be about the world titles of the company for mid card titles. Then they had the audacity to make it a 2 out of 3. Whoever produced this did a bad job. BTW it's funny how when a match is good we instantly know who produced it but when it isn't, we'll you know. The falls were lame and lazy too. The first one I get it, to catch the fans of guard the rest of the 2 falls should be nail biting that's the whole point of this stip. The end, it could've been so simply booked. Have MCMG win then have Profits attack both team. By doing this atleast the fans get new champ amidst a mid match and Profits still get their heat. 4/10"
[6.0] "This match had everything, the in ring work, the drama, a surprise return of the Street Profits, a great stipulation, and some great stakes with the title on the line. So why is not a 8/10 or higher? This crowd was DEAD the whole match! Are you kidding me? You have two of the best tag teams on the planet right now fighting for championship gold under a great stipulation of 2 out of 3 falls and this crowd couldn't be hyped until the Street Profits returned? What a joke. Biggest Royal Rumble of all time but I can hear a pencil drop and what Jimmy, who's sitting next to the camera, is talking about with his buddy Tom. Horrible crowd, great match. This is an example of how a crowd can make or break a match. I wanted to be excited for everything about this match but the crowd's inability to create noise for these two great tag teams kills all the energy and fun."
[6.0] "[6.0] This match was pretty fun ngl, the crowd was dead which took away from it but the match itself was really fun, DIY and MCMG are just so good together. The ending was really cool happy the profits are back and hopefully they get them belts and hold them for a bit. DIY retaining was the right choice to."
[6.0] "If this match was on the black and gold NXT it would have been a hit. The in-ring action was solid, but the crowd never got involved in the matchup. I enjoyed the match with its psychology and technical wrestling. Street Profits turning heel by interfering and costing MCMG before attacking DIY was a very weird decision."
[4.0] "The match was good, but nothing special. Unfortunately, they wrestled an NXT-style, work-rate-heavy match in front of a WWE PPV crowd. They simply did not care, and the crowd's obvious lack of enthusiasm massively affected my enjoyment of the match. With an average crowd? I'd likely give it a 5. With a good one? Maybe a 6. But with the sort of audience that the WWE have cultivated for main roster PPV and TV events, these sorts of matches a doomed to the dregs. Also, the finish really did not help."
[6.0] "The crowd wasn't very into this which was expected as any match following a Royal Rumble is going to struggle to wake the crowd up. A match between DIY and MCMG is never going to be bad in ring but i thought the booking was a bit strange, with the first fall being won with a simple move that would never in a million years win a 1 fall match (although i do like the fake tag that DIY did). As much as I dont like matches being won with interference, unless its creative, i do understand that WWE want to keep MCMG strong and this was a good way to do so while also setting the Street Profits up as potential future challengers for the tag titles. If this was given an extra 5/10 minutes and the first fall wasn't won with a simple knee then i think we could of had an all timer here."
[8.0] "Of course, the atmosphere was completely drained out after the women's Rumble, but these teams stepped in and delivered the strongest meeting of their meetings so far. As rushed as the pacing felt, they stuffed in a lot of action that was well-executed and brewed excellent energy. Maybe, I had lofty expectations considering the immense talent and their history with 2/3 Falls matchups, but this was still a great fight. Had the reception been even better along with a properly paced length, this would've been a home run! The interference by Street Profits was a bit of a surprise, and the seeming plan for a multi-tag team match at 'Mania sounds exceptional. 4 out of 5 stars!"
[5.0] "On paper this was set up to be an absolute classic and despite some solid in ring work it really wasn't given enough room to breathe and the interference from The Street Proffits at the end left me really disappointed"
[5.0] "An absolute disappointer that left me jaw dropped on how poorly this was booked. First thing...14 Minutes for a 2/3 falls match that ends with the Profits attacking The MCMG. This felt more like a TV match then a PPV caliber matchup. It was like they didn't really put much thought into this one and it was felt. The crowd was also pretty tuned out which is understandable considering this hadn't been built up the nicest. Overall, a decent showing killed by the brutal ending and the curious booking decisions. [**3/4]"
[6.0] "Honestly this was a good match in my opinion, only thing that sucked about it was the crowd, they completely ruined any momentum this match ever had, and that's a shame too, because these two teams are great and this is the first time these titles have even shown up on a PLE. Cool to see the Street Profits turn heel in the end though."
[3.0] "Worst fight of the night! It had everything to be a sensational fight but it was suppressed due to the short time and senseless invasion. I hope that in the next shows they explain better what happened but this result is frustrating on a PPV. I expected much more from her on this show."
[6.0] "Forgettable tag team action that would have been better served on a Smackdown than the PPV, the talent involved all put in good work, but the crowd didn't care and the match suffered for it."
[6.0] "This match was not going to set the world on fire, but it was a good solid piece of work from both teams, no real complaints here just not that memorable or spectacular."
[6.0] "While not their most spectacular job, this was a decent bout. Though for an event of this caliber it did feel a little flat. And sadly, the crowd wasn't the greatest here, which didn't help. ***"
[4.0] "I was expecting much more. Crowd wasn't into it at all, it never got into the final gear and the finish was really confusing. Which is a shame because I think all 4 of these guys are capable of having a great match together. DIY doing classic heel Tag Team stuff was fun but the first fall felt very sudden. The 2nd fall was better, with the Machine Guns getting the win. The 3rd fall was good too, but Profits getting involved was very confusing. When you need announcers to tell you what the hell is going on, it means that they haven't done a good job with telling the story. Disappointing match"
[8.0] "Could it have been better given the 4 incredible talents in that ring? Yes. Could it had a clean finish? Yes. Could the crowd have been louder? Yes. Was it a bad match? Absolutely not. It was a nice showcase for these guys who desperately deserved it with some very nice spots. If the street profits interference ends up going somewhere like a Mania huge multi man Tag match then it makes sense to set it up here. Overall I enjoyed it and that's all that really matters."
[6.0] "Good in ring action hurt by terrible booking. I didn't like the 2/3 falls stipulation and DIY just getting that first quick pin; you should really save that stipulation for when you want a long match. The best part of this match was DIY's bag of dirty tricks and it really got me invested in who would win. The ending was bad and confusing though. Since the Street Profits want a shot at the title, wouldn't it behoove them to let the match play out so they could face whoever wins? Because of this, MCMG will have a good case for being allowed another title shot, putting them further back in the queue or at best allowing them a 3 way tag title match, hurting their chances either way."
[6.0] "DIY Vs MCMG in a two out of three falls match should've been better than with what we were given in execution here, the in ring work between both teams was going good, but they needed far more time to play with here, the crowd was recovering from the women's royal rumble and the interference from Street Profits hindered the match as well."
[7.0] "Maybe it was the (rightfully so) sky-high expectations, but the Tag Team Match did not deliver the way it certainly could have, considering the wrestlers and the Stipulation. In the short time it was given, the action was very good, with a creative first Fall, overall good flow and a quite interesting ending."
[6.0] "This is a good match but it could've been so much better. It felt like the first fall was rushed, and a 2/3 falls match should be longer than 14 minutes. The crowd was also dead as they clearly came for the rumble matches and not this tag match."
[6.0] "6/10 Nothing amazing here and it had a screwy finish. Nothing here was that great. It is disappointing considering the people involved but yeah I wasn't a huge fan."
[5.0] "A 14 minutes best two out of three falls match with a stupid finish and a dead crowd...that's bad. At least the in ring work was good since both team are great workers"
[6.0] "I have to judge this based on that shit finish but this was a fun match up until the end. There was just no need for the street profits to destroy both teams at the end of this match. I don't even enjoy them as heels. I'm not sure if this match had happened in the past but having watched a ton of nxt and a some tna I was so pumped for this match. I'm starting to get concerned that HHH may not be as great as some see him as. I'm all for long term booking but when you put together a show where the "suffer now so that the good time come later" spots are most if not all the card. It start to suck a lil extra."
[6.0] "Honestly I can't remember much of this match and the first fall happened why too quick. Finish was a choice, but I like Street Profits being heels and taking things into their own hands. Hopefully this leads into a 3 or 4 way title match at Mania and given more time. Because this should've been a show stealer, and was given the least time and was the worst on the card."
[5.0] "Akin to a bad team snatching defeat from the jaws of victory, we somehow managed to get a mediocre match out of these two very entertaining tag teams. The 2-out-of-3 stipulation made the match feel rushed, and just when it looked like things were turning around, the Profits interfered and ruined the ending."
[7.0] "Firstly it was great to see the WWE Tag Team Championships on this kind of stage, both teams deserved to be there. Maybe it was too short for the stipulation but entertaining nevertheless. Four great wrestlers, so there's no surprise they delivered."
