[7.0] "As ridiculous as the title's name may be, this was a genuinely good match. Atticus Cogar played the overconfident heel opposite young underdog Kody Manhorn in his home area, and in a compact ten-minute deathmatch, they told the classic story well. Manhorn showed plenty of heart, Cogar showed just enough respect to make him look credible, and while neither man reinvented the wheel, the execution hit the right notes. The big spots carried the match in all the right ways. The Air Raid Crash onto the ICW NHB wood board perched where a top turnbuckle would usually be made for a dangerous visual, heightened by how close they were to the ceiling of the TWE Arena. Equally striking was Cogar launching a ladder down onto Manhorn on the floor as he clutched light tubes; a violent, chaotic moment that fit perfectly in this setting. The finish, a headlock driver into light tubes while Manhorn had skewers in his head, wasn't as strong as the earlier highlights, but it was serviceable enough to wrap things up. Manhorn still feels raw, and Cogar will never be a top-tier deathmatch worker, but their chemistry, pacing, and a few spectacular visuals made this a success. It never quite reached "great, " but for an Atticus Cogar title defense, it's one of his stronger outings. ***1/2"
[7.0] "I'll go three and three quarters for this one. Good story and Manhorn did well enough as the face getting destroyed by the dominant heel. Cogar is starting to really kinda maybe put it all together? This was an effective match in the chains that wasn't just dudes getting hit with stuff."
[8.0] "A very compelling opener for someone whos never really watched the promotion or either competitor before. Manhorn played the underdog really well and when Cogar was in control the match had a pace that i found was nearly perfect at all times. They didn't use weapons either to the fullest extent and the story was really solid."
[8.0] "Very good opener that told a clear + concise story, didn't overuse the weapons/gimmicks at hand and didn't overstay its welcome. Manhorn is underrated as a babyface especially when he's selling from underneath + Atticus has a real knack for playing an unlikable smug prick. That coupled with the TWE Arena faithful (Manhorn's hometown crowd) made for a really great dynamic. Toss in a couple of gross bumps (namely the Air Raid Crash onto the top corner platform) and I found myself liking this one a whole lot."
