Cora Jade vs. Stephanie Vaquer

"I am behind on weekly NXT, but seeing this match and knowing Cora got fired months later has me thinking this is just the first of many Jade clunkers coming up. She was pretty bad here. Stephanie has a couple moments where she seems like she is fighting a bag of grain to do moves to it."

[5.0] "**.75 When you have to do something you can always make a new plan for the next week and you have a new idea to work with you on the plan for"

[5.0] "It's great to see Cora Jade recovering well, but perhaps due to her recent return from injury, her in-ring performance didn't seem as strong as Stephanie Vaquer's. If the plan is to position her on equal footing with her opponents, as well as Roxanne Perez and Giulia in the storyline, she'll need to show more competitiveness in the ring."

[3.0] "Very choreographed, a few moves vere botched but what bothers me most is the lack of impact on momentum shifts. It appeared to be completely random. It was very even in the exchanges and then out of nowhere Jade is just dead from a move that might be a finisher, but with no real buildup. None of them looked gassed, beaten up or struggling before the end."

[6.0] "This starts with some chain wrestling, lots of quick covers and a few flippy arm drags. Jade plays heel by running out of the ring. There's a bit of a botch in the corner with Jade misfiring on a backstabber. Vaquer shows that she can really run and hit hard. Jade then does the same. Vaquer hits her finish and the match is over. Could have used some more time but this was a decent TV match."

[6.0] "Solid match, particularly impressed with Vaquer's technical ability and wrestling savvy. Jade's cocky and brash heel demeanor was a splendid addition too. The right woman won and it was probably too short imo to amount to something especially with the commercial break literally 'breaking' the momentum. ***"

[7.0] "This was a fun television match that made sense in storyline and was a good showcase of both woman's ability. Personally, I think this was the best Cora has looked since returning, and Stephanie and her had some good in ring chemistry. My only major complaint would be that Cora didn't feel like a strong presence here, and I think they should have her be a similar tier to a Roxanne or a Stephanie. I would really like if they had Cora look a bit stronger going forward especially against girls who haven't touched gold yet."

[5.0] "ehhhh it's just a incredibly basic match that doesn't give much. Solid for a opening match just not much offense from cora and it's kinda just basic"

[7.0] "This was presented well. Vaquer got the clean win but Jade wasn't a pushover and looked really good, perhaps the best she has since returning from injury."

[5.0] "A little confused by the other ratings here. I thought Cora didn't really offer much here at all. Stephanie dominated most of the match."

[7.0] "Solid match. Solid execution and technique by Vaquer. Pretty competitive match between these two competitors."

[6.0] "Solid match. Competitive with good action with Stephanie effectively targeting Cora's knee at times throughout the match."

[8.0] "I don't know what happened to Cora, but she's definitely improved her in-ring work since coming back. Stephanie Vaquer is always great. For me, this match wasn't particularly intriguing, but it was still pretty competitive and I had fun watching it. ***3/4"
