[8.0] "Another strong UWF card from top to bottom. While it doesn't match the heights of the July show from the same year, it is much more consistent. Miyato vs Tamura (***3/4) - A strong performance by Tamura who looks to be a credible threat already but Miyato staggers him and puts him away after some effort. Nakano vs Suzuki (****) - A great performance from both Suzuki and Nakano and Nakano looks like a badass while Suzuki pushes him to the limit. Fun stuff. Yamazaki vs Anjo (***1/2) - Decent match that never goes into the extra gear, but Yamazaki responds in kind to an energetic Anjo. Takada vs Funaki (****1/4) - Funaki continues to have a strong 1989 while Takada is pushed to the limits by his opponent, and both have a great striking battle that really gets the crowd involved. Maeda vs Fujiwara (****1/2) - A strong main event to close the show, with Maeda and Fujiwara delivering another great chapter to their rivalry. Maeda gets the upper hand despite Fujiwara being a bit stiffer with his strikes, and both seem to call back their matches in NJPW a few years earlier."
