[6.0] "SmackDown #1407 was a solid post-SummerSlam episode, but the wrestling itself was pretty inconsistent. Corbin vs. Trick Williams was decent, although I wasn't a big fan of another dirty finish. Corbin had just won the title at SummerSlam, so I would have preferred to see him get a stronger first defense instead of using the championship behind the referee's back again. Fatal Influence vs. Chelsea Green and Tiffany Stratton had some fun moments, but once again Jacy Jayne's interference played a major part in the result. I'm starting to get tired of champions constantly needing outside help in matches they should be capable of winning themselves. Charlotte Flair vs. Jade Cargill was easily the best match of the night. Jade looked dangerous, Charlotte sold her offense really well, and the top-rope Natural Selection was a strong finish. Alexa Bliss returning and Tatum Paxley arriving also gave the ending some real importance. The promo segments were probably stronger than most of the wrestling. Kevin Owens confronting CM Punk gave the WWE Title picture a clear direction, while the Cody Rhodes and Randy Orton story continued to feel personal after what happened at SummerSlam. My biggest issue with the show was that there were only three matches and almost every one involved some kind of ringside drama. It was a good episode for moving stories forward, but not a particularly strong wrestling show. Rating: 6.5/10"

[6.0] "An episode that was extremely enjoyable and entertaining promo wise, while leaving a lot to be desired when it came to the matches. Corbin and Trick at least probably had a better match than they did at Mania, while the other two matches were simply not good (3 botches in the span of the final minute of Jade vs Charlotte. I think that has to be some kind of record). At least they ended on a high note with Tatum Paxley's debut. So overall, this is an episode that is saved more by the extra ring stuff"

[7.0] "That was pretty good episode. Worse than Raw, but still I felt that SummerSlam changed something there for better. Matches were average, but I like the most that every championship had something and nobody from champs aren't absent. That's very rare thing for SmackDown. Kevin Owens and CM Punk had a great segment, where I really feel personal rivalry. Cody Rhodes and Randy Orton had a more emotional segment with some fire promos. Tatum Paxley's debut was so great for me, becuase I'm a big fan of her since 2023. Overall, that was a decent SmackDown episode, where nothing was boring or a filler, but I didn't get enough of great moments. The show was on a good level whole time with only 2-3 big moments."

[7.0] "Good show this week. Cody starts the show off by calling out Randy. Punk comes out instead followed by KO. US title: ***. An average to good match but I'm still struggling to think of a reason why Corbin is champion over Williams. WWE historically has been horrible at building new stars. Backstage segment shows Hayes attacking Corbin and saying he has a title match next week. Please make me eat my words. Chelsea and Tiffy come out to celebrate Chelsea but Fatal Influence interrupts. This leads to a match for the women's tag titles in exchange for a US title match next week for Jacy. Women's tag titles: **3/4. Decent tag match, and fatal influence have seemingly moved on from the Bellas at last. Chelsea got injured apparently in this match. We need an interim interim champion now. The Irresistible Forces attack Chelsea and Tiffy after the match for some reason even though they're not the tag champs. Okay? Randy then comes out but is interrupted by Cody who cuts another intense promo. Flair/Cargill: **3/4. Not much to say about this match except it was too long and not convincing enough of a kayfabe wrestling match. Some moves just didn't look good. On the plus side, Tatum debuted and that was sweet."

[6.0] "Mixed feelings about this episode. There were some really great promos but the matches weren't great."

[5.0] "The two promo segments, especially punk and Owens were excellent. The matches by and large were poor. Watching Chelsea get pinned immediately after being made champ is frankly baffling. Looks like she will be paying her dues forever. The structure of the show was odd as well. The first ten minutes were completely devoid of actual content. It's was jarring. The final minute of the show was cut off by Netflix AGAIN. 5/10"

[6.0] "Great promos between both Punk/Kevin and Cody/Randy. Sami actually had a legit point for once while talking to Kevin. Kevin really grounds the usually-dull promo segments with the realism that nobody can bring quite like he does. Things like this are why so many people missed him for the last 16 months. So glad that he's right back to the quality of content he was doing when he left. Love that Cody said that he didn't have to be cookie-cutter anymore due to being away from the title; let the true Nightmare be unleashed! Also love that he said it's time to "kill the [Legend] Killer". Shin bringing someone else (please be Ilja) to combat the Tongans is intriguing, and we'll likely see the reveal during/after next week's Tag Title 3-way. Chelsea's celebration was so disappointing, as I was really looking forward to how she'd celebrate her "world domination"... and what we got was not the grandeur I was expecting for such a momentous occasion. Tiffy giving Jacy a US Title shot next week in exchange for an immediate Tag Title match was cool and unexpected. Then they lost. With Chelsea getting pinned. And then Nia showed up to stake her claim to the title. Look, I know Nia got screwed in 2 different qualifiers, but Nia chasing the title is so overdone and uninteresting, not to mention the stupid dance she did while holding the title near her waist. Also, was she the one that broke Chelsea's orbital, or was that one of the Fatal Influence girls? Either way, we can have no nice things. Please recover soon Chelsea; I'm praying for a quick recovery. Baron/Trick was better than their SummerSlam match, and Melo attacking Baron in the back to set up a title match in Boston reaffirmed my theory that they only took the title off Trick so Melo could get an undivided reaction when he won instead of a divided reaction from beating Trick. Then we get to Cargill/Flair, a match that's been teased for 3 years but finally happens on a SmackDown. I hope this gets more opportunities to cook because I know these two can do better than what we got in Philly. Lots of unpretty botches that are hard to ignore. Thankfully, I was able to mostly ignore them in the end due to Blisster's return and the debut of one of my favorite NXT girls ever in Tatum. Happy Tatum Friday everyone! Overall, VERY promo-heavy but the promos were mostly great, and few matches with mostly odd decisions although 2 of them had intriguing aftermaths. Thankfully for the latter, next week's match card looks stacked with 3 title matches, including a potential Melo hometown win, the in-ring debut of the reignited Tongans, the potential debut of Shin's new "army", and Jacy finally getting a chance to actually win something on the main roster while feuling the Stratton/Green split if Chelsea's available. Also, I'm sure Tatum's got something to say which I'm looking forward to. As for this episode, I'll give it a 6; I was satisfied but there was definitely room for improvement."

[6.0] "Matches weren't great, they were "meh" at best. Thankfully, we had some very good promos. It's an upgrade from usual Smackdown, but it's not really hard."

[3.0] "No good matches tonight on SmackDown. An excellent promo between Kevin Owens and CM Punk. Punk says that he's the one who paved the way for people like KO, who didn't fit the physical criteria to perform at the top of the card. According to Punk, he's the one who changed everything. KO fires back that Punk's narcissism has gone to his head from telling himself every day that he's "the Best in the World." I really loved the angle both of them took and the contrast between their arguments. It's refreshing to see WWE switch things up with promos because lately they were starting to feel repetitive. The reunion and explanation between KO and Sami were so good. Sami is absolutely right he gets screwed over so badly every single time. Yes, Melo vs. Baron Corbin for the United States Championship in Boston next week, in Carmelo's hometown. Awesome. The promo between Cody and Randy was simple and effective. Randy reminds Cody that he's the Legend Killer and that he's going to kill him, while Cody tells him that he's the last legend and that he's ready to kill him now. Cody turned Randy's own words against him, and I thought that was really damn good. Another excellent promo tonight. And finally, we got the return of Alexa Bliss and Tatum Paxley's call-up to the main roster."

[8.0] "I am not a fed glazer however the score for this episode is stupid low. This has been the most talked-about piece of WWETV for months, and for good reasons, not because they went out of their way to piss us all off! This was good! Randy and Cody finally have a semblance of heat, and Punk-KO was an absolute slam dunk. I cheered watching KO tear into him man, that emotion hasn't been here in months! That matters! Will it stay consistently good, most likely not but this waa a bright spot. The matches weren't all too special, Chelsea losing just, what are we doing? That entire midcardish segment of the womens roster is never booked consistently. Charlotte and Jade was meh to fine, and Baron versus Trick was sure a Baron Corbin match. So I get the rating being so low here, I do, but I can't in good faith give the best smackdown in quite some time any less than an 8. FINALLY, something interesting happened. Gotta reward it, even with a trivial score on a site that moderates as though they hahaha let's not get banned again. An eight it is."

"Like I said in my wrestling WhatsApp group, SmackDown wasn't that shitty, but it was still shitty. The promos were good. Honestly, that face-off between Punk and Kevin Owens got me really fired up. Same with Orton and Cody's promo. But this is a wrestling show, not a promo show, and the matches were bad. I also have a problem with Chelsea taking the pin in her first match as champion. I'm not asking them to completely change her character and suddenly make her unbeatable, but for fuck's sake, it would've been nice if her first loss hadn't come on her very first SmackDown as champion."

"6/10 A decent post-SummerSlam SmackDown that progressed several stories without delivering much memorable wrestling. The opening involving Cody, Punk and Owens was a solid way to establish the title picture, while Cody confronting Orton over the SummerSlam RKO was probably the most interesting storyline development of the night. Corbin/Trick was the best match, although another cheap finish prevented it from feeling particularly satisfying. Fatal Influence against Chelsea and Tiffany was forgettable, and Charlotte/Jade disappointed despite all the chaos surrounding the finish with Michin, Alexa and Tatum. Nakamura declaring war on the Tongans was an intriguing smaller development as well. There was enough storyline progression to make this an enjoyable weekly show, but the mediocre match quality keeps it firmly in the 6/10 range."

[4.0] "4.0 Sometimes I wish WWE would just go full studio show for a couple weeks. The matches are such an afterthought so just go full studio instead. The problem I have is that this show was like 80/20 promo to matches. It just seems like such a waste of people money"

[5.0] "Properly bad in-ring and I'm not sure a couple of excellent promos saved it, especially given the booking decisions of having Nia going for a title again, Chelsea losing, Trick losing to Corbin again and the ridiculous series of botches to end the Jade/Charlotte match. Tatum debuting was cool though. The Owens/Punk promo also felt very, very same old, we've been seeing this "I know you from a long time ago and know that you're a piece of shit" stuff with Punk for like 5 years now on and off. 5/10."

"[5.5] An above-average edition of post-Summerslam Smackdown, largely attributed to some major promo segments being really good and furthering some big storylines for the men's division, which were the highlights of the show. Without these 2 big segments delivering, this show would've been really poor. Anything else seemed insignificant, and even weak, more specifically the women's division stuff, which was featured in half the show. Smackdown might be featuring the women's division "prominently" on the show, basically every week, unlike Raw, but the booking and the material being given is just poor and uninteresting. Literally nothing did it for me as far as that division apart from the surprise NXT call-up in the last minutes of the show. In-ring work in this show was subpar and, to be honest, got little time with only 3 matches in 2 hours. Apart from a decent setup for what's coming in the future, they set up 3 title matches for next week's show, though in a kind of lazy way. Definitely not as good as Raw was this week, especially wrestling-wise, but also doing angles and setting up new feuds that aren't the men's main event scene. Show starts with Cody in an in-ring promo, in which CM Punk interrupts. Cody wants to know where Randy is, and Punk also teases about his unfinished business with Cody. Then the much-anticipated Kevin Owens and CM Punkface-off begins, and it delivers really well. Nothing mind-blowing, but a really good kickoff to build their eventual one-on-one match, which, from what was said backstage with Nick Aldis, might be taking place on the Aug. 21st Smackdown instead of SNME in early September, which I don't understand why it won't be getting 4 additional weeks of build, other than that specific show emanating from Toronto, which Owens mentioned. Punk played the arrogant here to kind of build some tension, telling Owens that people like him wouldn't make it in the business without him. Really solid stuff, hopefully WWE won't drop the ball as they did with many other feuds this year alone. Corbin vs Trick for the US title again for some reason. This was a bit better than their SS encounter, and was okay, but still, I don't think we needed this. Basic stuff and nothing really that you won't expect. Corbin beats Trick by striking him in the head with the title. They doubled down on their awful decision to give the title to Corbin. I'm 100% sure they never had any concrete plans for Trick's title run, as the fucking feud he was in with Carmello for SS, which was the right path, got cut in half for no reason, and they were basically booking week to week this whole time, as they, for some reason, deemed a great idea for him to drop the title out of nowhere to Baron Corbin who just returned. Also, a match for the title between Corbin & Carmello has been made official for next week, just from an attack backstage, with the crowd popping big for Melo. Couldn't have Melo at freaking SS compete for the title, which made all the sense in the world, they had to have Corbin for no reason. For what, because he's a heel and Trick is a tweener that couldn't be in a title match with Melo? Fuck outta here. Bad stuff overall, as the men's midcard on Smackdown is and could be much better than what they're showcasing with their booking. Chelsea Green in a title celebration segment. She brings out Tiffany after a few minutes. Some typical Vince-esque booking with the heels interrupting a segment, faces not backing down from a challenge and a tag match is set up. The segment didn't make Chelsea feel like a big deal at all. Rhea had surgery recently, there's no way Chelsea is kept as an interim champion. Match was subpar. Chelsea got pinned, as they tell us this is purely fan service and they don't give a shit for her. Unbelievably, they got the women's tag champs, US champ and World champ together in one single segment, because they got nothing creative for any of them. Nia Jax attacks Chelsea post-match, setting up a program with her for the title. Fucking kill me. This is their plan for her. Smackdown women's world title scene is in shambles, never mind the midcard. Randy Orton & Cody Rhodes segment. This was a really good promo segment, which was intense, with some really good back & forth. Cody questioned Randy's actions before WM, and he claimed he doesn't have to be a good guy anymore. Cody's best version is when he's off the title picture. I'm absolutely baffled that we haven't gotten a single one-on-one interaction between Randy & Cody in their WM feud because we had to have Pat fucking McAfee as the centrepiece and Randy the third wheel. Where the fuck was this back then? Hopefully they don't fuck it up like last time. Really good stuff and kickoff to their feud. There was a vignette of Shinsuke Nakamura, in which we found he's actually still employed with the company after all these months, and who's unreasonably and criminally underutilised, talking about the MFTs for some reason after how many months and claiming he's not returning alone. I have no clue who that could be or what he'll be doing, but he has to be doing something. SmackDown falls off again with Cargill vs Charlotte being in the main event for some reason. Another subpar match, with a horrendous, botch-fest of a finish, as expected with Cargill, which baffles me how she's featured prominently every single week, and in the main event scene, mind you. The most noteworthy thing about all of this was the main roster debut of Tatum Paxley, who was revealed after Alexa Bliss returned, and for some reason was involved in all of this, and I have no clue about why she was there. Haven't followed her in NXT, but I've heard of her. Raw desperately needs a woman in the midcard more than Smackdown. An okay show, mostly because of the 2 major promo segments from a stacked men's main event scene that delivered and showcased what's coming next, and everything else, including the wrestling, felt flat."

[4.0] "[4.4] The August 7th, 2026 edition of WWE's Friday Night SmackDown was a weak episode in general with only a few highlights. The opening segment was decent but lacked something, Orton and Rhodes' promo was decent as well but It's gonna take a lot to pull it out of the mud of how it first began and the Nakamura faction tease was cool too. Negatives include a lot of nothing segments, All of the matches, Nia Jax going after the title AGAIN and they didn't really do Owens here good. Overall, weak show."

[4.0] "The in ring wrestling on this show was limited to just three matches and the quality was poor. Kevin Owens being back is huge because everything he is should be good and tonight was no exception, especially his backstage segment with Sami Zayn. One men's match on a two hour show is unacceptable especially when it's a Baron Corbin Trick Williams match with a bad finish"

[6.0] "In my view, one of the best episodes of SmackDown this year. The in-ring action wasn't exceptional, though the opener and main event were certainly interesting. Ultimately, it was the promos and segments that made this episode a success. Almost all of them were high-quality, starting with Paxley's arrival coinciding with Bliss's return. The ongoing storyline involving Owens, Zayn, and Punk was handled well, and other brief angles--such as Hayes attacking Corbin or Nakamura's video package--are worth noting. The exchange between Orton and Rhodes wasn't particularly memorable, but they seem to be heading down a more serious path than last time. The weakest part was probably the angle involving Green; it doesn't make much sense for Jane to negotiate a US Title match instead of going after Green's belt. Match quality: 3.25/6.5. Non-match angles and segments: 2.75/3.5. Bonus/penalty: none. Total: 6/10. Watched on Netflix (FR)."

[10.0] "So we started with a Cody-Punk exchange, which turns into Owens-Punk exchange. Follow it up with Zayn-Owens, then Zayn-Punk. On top of it we get Orton-Cody. 5 top class promo battles in one show. Smackdown main event scene is embarrassment of riches with these 5 there and Gunther, Balor and McIntyre also in it. Absolutely stacked."

[8.0] "This was a very good Smackdown that capped off a great week for this promotion and a proper reset that was badly needed for both shows. The promos/segments between all of Punk, KO, Sami, Randy, and Cody throughout the show were elite TV and even though there were only 3 matches, 2 of them were good (the opening and main event) with the middle being harmless. I actually want to tune into next week for once, especially with all the title matches happening"

[6.0] "A solid episode carried more by its storyline progression than the in-ring action. CM Punk and Kevin Owens delivered the standout segment with an excellent promo exchange that immediately gave their title match real interest, while Cody Rhodes and Randy Orton also reignited their rivalry effectively. Carmelo Hayes targeting Baron Corbin, Jacy Jayne moving toward a tittle opportunity, and Tatum Paxley aligning with Alexa Bliss and Charlotte Flair all gave the show useful direction, but the wrestling itself remained fairly average."

[4.0] "If you like a lot of talking, promos and segments. This smackdown episode is for you. If you prefere good wrestling Matches, probably not. The Punk and Owens Segment had some good moments but also some weird moments like the stuff with Owens shorts. Punk wore shorts too in ROH, so it was comical but not acfunny rib as it should be."

[7.0] "Pretty decent Smackdown, but the show needs 30 more minutes to cook. Only 3 matches on a 2 hour show isn't good. Chelsea should have opened the show, but pretty decent Punk / Kevin promo. Trick vs. Baron rematch was fine. I guess they're going for "Baron always uses the belt to win" angle, and Melo's in for exactly the same plot next week. Sami / Kevin segment was good. Chelsea Green is the best, I don't make the rules. They need to crown her the full champion now that Rhea is out long term. Fatal Influence vs. Tiffy / Chelsea was good. Hopefully Chelsea is okay after that finishing move, looked like she almost landed on her head. Jacy Jayne should win that US title. If Randy is going to stop Cody from being forever champion then I'm here for it. Johnny blinked twice, so he's definitely still in there. Jade vs. Charlotte had a bit of a chemistry issue. There were some nice spots here and there, but these two didn't really gel well. Maybe round 2 will be better. Tatum Paxley on Smackdown wasn't on my bingo card. The women's division on Smackdown is kinda stacked now. Blake, Giulia and Jordynne could benefit from a move to Raw"

[6.0] "From an in ring perspective then this episode was terrible but great for the KO and Punk feud to ignite and it's refreshing to see Cody without the title as he's a much better chaser than he is as champion"

[5.0] "An average show, mainly due to the quality of these three matches, which is offset by the promos and teasers for upcoming shows even if some of them aren't needed (Nia)."

[7.0] "I enjoyed it! For the first time in a long while, the show felt alive. We got fresh storylines, feuds, and Tatum's debut. The only downside was the quality of the matches themselves, but the segments and Paxley's debut pleased me so much that I'm willing to overlook that and give it a 7/10."

[7.0] "From the standpoint of in-ring it was mediocre but with the planted seeds of the Main Event Scene was the highlight of the episode I really enjoyed this episode of Smackdown as we finally saw the beginning of CM Punk and Kevin Owens story as we know dating back to their time in the Indies CM Punk wasn't fond of Kevin Steen but in this promo battle it delivers excellently, and I'm excited for the Undisputed WWE Title Match two weeks. Baron Corbin cheated once again to retain his WWE United States Championship but now he has Carmelo Hayes hunting him down as a future title match is set for next week. Chelsea Green and Tiffany Stratton suffered a loss against Fatal Influence, and now Jacy Jayne has a future WWE Women's United States Title Match next week. Cody Rhodes and Randy Orton gave us what we wanted during WrestleMania as they kicked off their feud again in amazing fashion, in the main event we saw Tatum Paxley debut aligning with Alexa Bliss & Charlotte Flair. This whole week of WWE has probably been the strongest each episode has looked throughout this year keep this going!"

[7.0] "Matches were mid but the Punk/Owens & Orton/Rhodes promos were great same with Sami's backstage segments. Smackdown's main event scene is heating up fast"

[7.0] "Find this one hard to rate because the matches were limited (though I think Corbin/Trick was pretty good.) But this did kickstart what I think will be the best feud of the fall in Punk/Kevin, and a few other new storylines began. So I think it did a good job at angles/stories although limited in ring"

[4.0] "In memory of Dory Funk Jr., the last true wrestling Funk, this show kicks off with Cody Rhodes, who--for obvious reasons--will likely resume his feud with Randy Orton from Wrestlemania. Meanwhile, CM Punk, having reconciled with Cody, now has Kevin Owens hot on his heels. But the fact that Owens is playing the 'you can't trust Punk' card--just like so many before him--shows a serious lack of creativity on the writers' part. Corbin's title defense is okay, but it certainly won't win any awards for innovation. Tiffy and Chelsea can hardly threaten the new champions; the Fatal Influence's numerical advantage is just too much of a factor. Randy Orton explains himself, and somehow you can actually understand him. The final match then shows Cargill that you always have to count on Charlotte--especially when her team with Bliss is reinforced by Paxley from NXT. Everyone has beef with everyone else; everyone's pissed off at someone, and today's show is one big ego show without any real highlights in the ring."

[8.0] "Finally, a really good episode of SD that lived up to everything that had been hyped leading up to SummerSlam. The opening segment is excellent. The exchange between Punk and Cody is a bit random, although Cody asking Punk if he knew about Orton is good. The Owens/Punk verbal duel is excellent. Owens was cool in saying he'd never given Punk a second chance because he knows he's still the same nasty bloke. Punk responds well by saying that his arrogance has opened doors for wrestlers like Kevin Owens and that, without Punk, he'd be in a job he didn't like and would be begging for WWE tickets. Owens responds very well, saying that thanks to him, he knows what not to do - namely, having an ego so big that you believe your own bullshit - and that he doesn't want this business to turn him into a piece of shit like Punk. The verbal exchanges off-mic were brilliant; the acting was spot on, and you could really feel the tension between the two. Punk saying he's going to go for Owens' neck is a good touch. Corbin vs Trick was a better version of their match at SummerSlam. This time, Trick is much more interesting and carries the match. The result makes sense; it would have been daft to have Trick lose at SummerSlam only to have him win again in the end. Melo's attack on Corbin is good. The fact that Melo has a shot at the title makes sense. Corbin had cost Melo his title match against Trick. The backstage segment with Nick, KO and Zayn is very good. Zayn complaining yet again is spot on. The only inconsistency is that it wasn't Aldis who put Zayn on the RAW in Chicago, but Pearce. Sami, who's still doing that thing of congratulating people only to criticise them afterwards, is spot on. Owens was on form again, saying that if it had been Zayn in his place, he'd have done the same thing, and that KO deserved to be in that Fatal 4-Way because he beat Zayn at EC. I can't wait for KO vs Punk in Toronto. The Green/Tiffy/Influence segment wasn't bad. It's good to mention that Green pushed Stratton at SummerSlam. It's good that Jayne is aiming for the US title, claiming that because of Tiffy she wasn't in the ladder match and that she's therefore going to take the US title off her. The fact that Green and Tiffy are demanding that Influence defend the tag team titles makes sense, as they're 'a team'. Influence/TiffyGreen is fine. The in-ring action wasn't bad. Stratton was fine. The result makes sense. Jayne is a logical opponent for Tiffy. The Cody/Orton segment is very good. Orton justifies his attack at SummerSlam well by saying that Cody asked for the best version of Orton, but that version was beaten, so he heard voices in his head that led him to deliver the punt kick, which in turn turned him into the worst version of Orton. Cody was interesting when he said that without the title, he no longer needs to be nice or stay calm, and that he wonders who will be the one to take down the last legend. Cody sending Orton into retirement is the perfect move for a heel turn. We've got another good bit concerning the top of the card with the backstage segment between Punk and Zayn, which once again highlights the tensions between the two. No complaints there - Punk, KO, Zayn, Cody and Orton were on top form. Nikki's segment was random. The reasoning behind it was flimsy. Nakamura's segment was random too. Unfortunately, when they try to relaunch Nakamura, it doesn't work. If it's for the tag team division, then why not. The main event was cool. Cargill and Charlotte delivered; the in-ring action was decent. Bliss's return and, above all, Tatum Paxley's debut were brilliant. There were a few minor hiccups in that match and the finish was botched. I can't wait to see what Tatum Paxley has in store."

"Smackdown was pretty great, at least by current Smackdown standards, today. I'm not entirely convinced that the crew that wrote this is the same crew responsible for the episodes of Smackdown that have been put out lately. We had pretty solid promo work surrounding the outcome of Summerslam, there were no extreme, glaring errors (Jade Cargill match aside) to speak of. We had the return of an internet favorite star whom challenged Baron for the belt next week. We had the return of a loved female star whom brings another loved (& underutilized! ) female star whom she has apparently formed a bond with. The wrestling was all pretty solid, but gosh, it's a bit sad to see how Tiffany has regressed. I'd like to see her bring back the passion she had earlier, she was super autopilot today. Still, she wasn't awful. Suuuper long lagtime on getting the info updated, excited to get a refresher on what happened so I can start talking about the matches individually. I was going into this with a "If this isn't good I'm probably skipping Smackdown for X-time" mindset, they did a nice job on this."
