[5.0] "A highly inconsistent event whose strongest performances are undermined by several major low points. The opening and middle portions contain multiple disappointing matches that disrupt the card's flow, while the better contests provide only partial recovery. The closing match is a clear highlight and helps the show finish strongly, but it cannot fully compensate for the uneven quality. The result is a mixed event with too many significant dips in entertainment."
[8.0] "Really enjoyable show here. The survival of the fittest qualifying matches weren't anything special, and I was hoping for Kenny vs Tito to get more time, but apart from that I have no complaints from this show. The main event was awesome, bucks vs dogs was great as expected, Speedball vs Jake Doyle was good stuff too. Seeing Athena on AEW television is always great to see."
[8.0] "This was a pretty decent card that exceeded expectations. This was better than the Dynamite version of Summer Blockbuster which is surprising since Dynamite is usually levels above Collision, but was kinda nice that they switched it up a little bit. The thing that I like about AEW is that they always have many matches. They do usually favor more wrestling over storyline, which is opposite of WWE, but makes AEW so unique. Sadly 3 of the matches were squash matches. The match was Zayda Steel was bad in my opinion, but the rest of the matches were really good, with the Cincinnati Street Fight being the best of them all, and really standing out. [****1/4]"
[7.0] "An excellent build to Forbidden Door 2026 that, frankly, does what I feel AEW should do more often and what I often felt like the promotion was designed to do in the first place: highlight regional and outer-promotion lore and build up new stars from the indies. The obvious stand out matches are Knight v. Reed, Doyle v. Bailey and Death Riders vs. STP, but there's so much more here--Texas history and the incredibly mean and heated promo of Athena towards Maya World, Doyle/Bailey's history, Ohio lore, New Japan call backs... there's a lot here that only happens under the guidance of a superfan like Tony Khan, and goddamn, I hope we continue doing episodes like this in the future."
[9.0] "Kenny Omega kicks things off with a win over one of ZSJ's lackies. Zayda Steel a fine showing. Kevin Knight successfully defends against Myron Reed. Athena with a squash win, but the story with Maya World continues in the post-match antics. Match of the Week: The Dogs beat the Young Bucks. This match was fantastic. Fine showing by Julia Hart. Speedball talks the ish, then gets beat by Jake Doyle lmao. I keep saying it, I really am enjoying the Death Riders, and this feud with STP."
[7.0] "Wrestling in the United States is currently overshadowed by other sports, and it's during this month that they need to offer something interesting to make you change the channel. The first half-hour of Collision was weak, with unengaging matches. Hikaru and Zayda Steel, for example, were underwhelming. Then Kevin Knight and Myron Reed gave us a great match, with Myron's double cutter, one to enter and another to exit the ring. The Dogs positioned themselves as the number one contenders for the World Tag Team Championship by defeating the always spectacular Young Bucks. Persephone defeated Julia Hart in an up-and-down match, and Jake Doyle surprisingly defeated Mike Bailey. Starlight Kid will represent Stardom against Theckla. The Death Riders had a street fight against STP with some very good moments, but it didn't reach the extreme situations that sometimes occur in AEW. Lee Moriarty vs. PAC, the interactions between Marina and Trish Adora, scattering the floor with glass, thumbtacks, and toy soldiers. An entertaining fight, at least to close the show."
[6.0] "A show elevated by the ability of the wrestlers rather than much in the way of story or investment. A number of obvious outcomes with a lack of interesting development. Better than the Dynamite was with a more energized crowd but one I would not call more than solid. Really do not understand the appeal of bringing STP to AEW TV to have the Death Riders steamroll them presumably back to ROH."
[5.0] "Sorry but it just isn't a good TV show, the wrestling is good, and it'll always be good, but almost every match will be forgotten by next week. There's no follow up to almost anything, the promos feel rushed or are just not interesting. Storylines are barely developed, if I want to tune into great wrestling, I'll just stick to the PPV's unless something truly special catches my eye. 5/10 show, mediocre as always with Collision."
[8.0] "Wow, didn't expect this Collision to be that good, especially taped after a weak Dynamite and horrible crowd, but it got everything you'd ask of a weekly and more, Speeball vs Jake Doyle and Kevin Knight vs Myron Reed will go on to be hidden gems, Persephone got her revenge on Julia, we got Kenny Omega in action and later the Bucks who put over The Dogs in a good match, fantastic promo from Thekla and a super fun street fight main event with Death Riders playing the babyfaces and Marina Shafir looking more badass than ever!"
[5.0] "I guess this episode clears dynamite but that's like excelling while doing the bare minimum. Main event was good but the diminishing returns of constant hardcore matches, the deathriders as a whole and Moxley are still evident. Bucks-Dogs tag match was also good. Some undercard matches were uninspiring and forgettable and the women's matches were pretty poor. Predictable and boring. I don't see what anybody sees in Thekla and her insufferable promos, they are quite terrible. Just a bunch of random nonsense delivered poorly in a repetitive manner. Overall an average show that somehow is painted in a better light due to how trash dynamite was."
[7.0] "A solid episode of Collision with a couple of stand out matches and okay segments like Thekla's promo. Kenny Omega vs Bad Dude Tito: Tito really did not do much if anything and Omega winning was obvious and made sense as Omega is facing Tito's TMDK teammate Zack Sabre Jr at Forbidden Door, a fine under 5 minute match to start the show [**]. Hikaru Shida vs Zayda Steel: I was not a fan of this match, Shida showcasing a heel side was weird to see and Steel was not gonna get the win here as Shida winning was obvious [*3/4]. Dezmond Xavier & Zachary Wentz vs Aaron Atlas & Austin Atlas: A simplistic and basic squash match to get Xavier & Wentz the win [*]. Kevin Knight vs Myron Reed: An interesting match with a few memorable moments including the cutters inside and outside the ring, the result was kind of obvious [***1/4]. Athena vs Tiara James: Athena gained momentum ahead of facing Maya World in the semi finals of the Owen Hart Cup, this was just a squash match against James [*]. Clark Connors & David Finlay vs Matt Jackson & Nick Jackson: A great tag team match with some decent tag offense on display and The Dogs winning was an interesting decision [****]. Persephone vs Julia Hart: A fine match between these two, Persephone winning made sense [**1/4]. Jake Doyle vs Mike Bailey: Bailey had the underdog disadvantage and Doyle took advantage to get the win in what was a solid match [***]. Death Riders vs Shane Taylor Promotions: A great street fight to end the show, both sides had some memorable spots and moments, Death Ridets winning was the right choice [****1/2]"
[4.0] "I feel like I watched a different episode here. There were a few positives. AEW's big brawl matches can be hit or miss and I thought the one in the main event was relatively good. Thekla's promo and the Starlight Kid announcement were both okay, as was the Maya World/Athena back to back promo segment. Knight vs Reed was an okay match as well. Even with all of these positives, the first hour had me ready to turn this off. I was shocked at that point to see another hour and a half remaining. Even with the supposed stakes like the Survival of the Fittest qualifiers, the matches felt predictable and jobber-heavy. The live audience was also terrible until the main event but I can't blame them entirely for that. I'd say the main event saved this show but you could have the best match ever and it wouldn't erase two hours of boredom."
[8.0] "Absolute riot this episode of Collision. The main event in particular was fantastically entertaining. Omega and Tito was solid. Nothing in this show felt like a drag."
[8.0] "Honestly a really good episode of Collision maybe up there with the best of 2026 so far for me. From an in ring standpoint we got 2 solid women's qualifiers which both got a good amount of time which is always nice to see. We got a really cool extended squash from Omega and Tito which i liked. We also got to short squash from the Razcals and Athena. We got 2 fun TV matches between Knight and Reed for the TNT strap which had some fun spots and another good match from Speedball and Doyle. We got a great tag match between the Bucks and the Dogs which was really fun to watch. Then we got such a banger of a street fight in the main event to close out. From a segment and promo side the show was pretty good. We got a good promo from Kenny bigging up ZSJ ahead of FD. We got a nice little segment with Protokada who want to get the international title back although Davis looked like he knows where it was going. Low point of the night was TK putting Hook on my screen god he is so bad. We got a VT from Megan and Lena daring people to challenge them. We got such a heartfelt promo from Maya World which almost had me in tears (sending her prayers). We got two promos from Thekla during the night which were both good and we found out SLK is her match for FD which is cool. Overall a really good episode on both sides with great progression up and down the card"
[6.0] "The Speedball, bucks and main event matches were alright; I think that's enough to get me to a 6. It doesn't go higher because the rest of the show, except for Thekla's promo, was squash and the usual irrelevance of Saturday shows. Personally, I wouldn't recommend any of the matches. Both the venue and the lack of development and relevance of the characters involved are minimal, and there's no presentation or production work behind them to help them shine as they should. Some are simply there because the next option is even worse. The Survival of the Fittest match involved Persephone, who lost in Owen's tournament. Following that logic, I expect Skye Blue to be in a Survival of the Fittest match and win it."
[10.0] "Fantastic show, one of the best Collision's of the year. Collision can often feel way too low key for my taste, even though I like the layout of the show, how wrestling heavy it is, seeing guys you don't see on Dynamite much etc but this one was really well balanced. Main event an easy MOTN, big wins for Doyle, Perse and the Dogs, I feel like AEW are just a tad too slow to give new guys wins just at the minute but it was good to see those guys get their moments. Starlight Kid is a phenomenal choice for Thekla's oppponent and the latter's promo work was excellent as always (one plus point of Collision is we hear from Thekla more - she needs consistent promo time on Dynamite too because she's great on the mic), didn't dislike anything even with the iffy crowd again, Doyle/Bailey, Knight/Reed and Bucks/Dogs were all very good, Julia's best singles match in a long time, strong promo work from both Athena and Maya World and thought they kept things ticking over nicely and maintained a good pace for a long show."
[6.0] "Fine, easy to watch show that had very fun matches and two painfully useless squashes. I loved the main event, loved the Jake-Speedball match and found that Myron Reed really looked brilliant with his offence. The promos were fine for the most part with the best one for me coming from Divine Dominion in their video package. Big fan of Jake Doyle getting a win, he looked like a real beast. Also really hope Bucks and Dogs can run their match back on a PPV with higher stakes, even if this one was very, very good."
[5.0] "I understand that many found the show more exciting than usual, but I didn't see anything particularly good about it. A few decent matches, but nothing exceptional, and the TBS qualifiers were a bit disappointing. Nothing special outside of the matches either, although I did appreciate the few minutes dedicated to the women's rivalries, especially Athena vs. Maya. Thekla's promo was cool but a bit repetitive, and it's a shame to announce her opponent via a clip when an entrance from Starlight Kid would have been perfect. There were a few backstage angles, but none were particularly noteworthy. In-ring quality: 3.75/6.5. Angles and segments outside of matches: 1/3.5. Bonus/penalty: none. Total: 4.75/10. Show viewed on MyAEW."
[10.0] "If this wasn't a 10/10 show, then what is? Incredibly paced. We got Kenny freakin Omega! Zayda and Shida, Zayda's gonna be a future world title contender. She has the look and has gotten really smooth in ring. Kevin Knight and Myron Reed put on the match of the nightm. Knight just gets it, I love this heel character more every week and Myron Reed has some of the most fun offense I've ever seen. I love how they transiotioned from the Rascalz squash as well. Which takes me back to the pacing thing. Toky Khan has figured out how to make squash matches ffeel important and use them to give performers in-ring promo time. Athena is probably the most complete women's wrestler on the planet right now. Again using the squash to get her on TV, we get a second fire promo from Athena AND an interaction with Maya World for next week. Maya also did an amazing heartfelt pre-tape promo. Persephone and Julia was fun to watch, they had pretty damn good chemistry for having never had a match. I had low expectations for Bucks vs Dogs but this match blew me away AND we got a surprise win for the Dogs. Thekla has become must-see tv, she even has the fans chanting her name because she's so damn entertaining and funny. Speedball and Doyle had another banger and Doyle got a surprise, very needed victory. And finally, that street fight was a PPV quality party match that had everything you'd want it to and more. Trish and Marina showed out. As did Moriarty and DG. We got blood, table, real glass, technical submission graps. Just a perfect show that had no bathroom breaks. I had an absolute blast watching it."
[6.0] "To be honest, a bit disappointing. The card looked incredible, but the show ended up just being, like, above average at best. No match was great, a few good ones (Doyle/Speedball, Kevin/Myron). Didn't hate it, didn't love it."
[9.0] "Great show, much better than this week's Dybamite, it was more focused on wrestling but continued the storylines of The Dogs, Death Riders and Kenny Omega... title match and an incredible street fight where the pace remained constant, there were many changes of control and the end came at the right moment without Shane Taylor Promotions looking weak."
"[9.0] "This was probably the best episode of Collision this year, every match was warmly received by the spectators in the arena, Bucks - Dogs was fantastic, the unexpected result in the meeting between Bailey and Doyle, and the main event of the evening was also pleasing. Perhaps the women's matches could have been a little more interesting, so there is something to strive for.""
[8.0] "Bruh, Moxley couldn't even let STP get ONE SINGLE WIN in this feud LMAO. Those chumps went 0-4 against Sensei Moxley and the D-Riders. I will say, this final match was banging tho. Greatly enjoyed it. Now it's back to ROH for STP no doubt. Kenny cleans up one of Zacks lackies efficiently. The Bucks and Dogs have a very fun match. Athena had an intense, good backstage promo and Thekla killed me wiping her slobber on Tony's coat."
[9.0] "One of my favorite Collision episodes of the year and a wonderful show. Bailey vs Doyle was the exact kind of match I was hoping for, that was awesome. Loved the Dogs vs Bucks as well, I think a win over the Bucks in a tag match is still a pretty big deal. Thekla rules, thought her promo was fun as hell. Myron Reed showed out, big time! Rascalz are cool in general but as someone with limited knowledge of him, he's impressed me so much. Enjoying Shida's heel work and Zayda makes for a very solid low-card face."
[6.0] "Second half was significantly better than the first (it took a while for me to get invested in this show). Negatives: The opps segment was death, I'm not interested in Ricochet going after Takeshita, Thekla while intriguing still needs to polish her mic work and a lot of these matches/squashes, angles and backstage promos were forgettable. Positives: TNT title match, Bang bang gang's promo stood out (they should be featured much more prominently) in a sea of mid, Bailey v Jake (although Bailey could've been protected a bit) and a great main event."
[9.0] "A muuuch better Collision vs this weeks Dynamite, great action for the women this week especially Shida really locking in with her new heel work, I also thought the Dogs have been absolutely incredible I was never a big David Finlay fan, he's been great but Clark Connors has been AMAZING getting pushed in AEW, Thekla's promo work aswell is some of the best in AEW, fantastic promo package for Maya World too, make something of her! awesome main event, great stuff overall."
