[7.0] "For me, the highlights of the episode were the matches involving the luchadors. El Clon vs Komander was a great match, and Briscoe vs Hechicero was a very enjoyable contest as well. That said, the matches featuring Mina and Brody didn't really add much to the overall show for me. Brody doesn't need to squash people"

We get a great luchador match between El Clon and Komander, followed by women's match between Mina & a returning Lady Frost! TNT title match was mid, then Harley & Friends win a trios match. Solid main event between the Demand and JetSpeed/Bowens, which Platinum Max comes in for the save!"

[7.0] "Middle section with Clon/Komander and Briscoe/Hechi was really good, but the rest of the show was just... there? Again, competent ring-work, but the Death Riders/SkyFlight match wasn't anything to write home about, nor was the six-woman tag which is a warm-up for Maximum Carnage. The main event showed signs of getting to the very good levels of the two middle matches, but didn't in the end. So, half of it was 8/10, half of it was 6/10, so let's split the middle and say 7/10."

[7.0] "Although there were two squash matches here, again Brody's been so short if you blink you'll miss it, there was also plenty of fun to be had. Briscoe vs Hechicero was the highlight, followed by the main event tag. Likewise, Kommander and El Clon was an interesting matchup that feels like it could go to the next level on PPV."

"definitely agree with germshep24 & TerroristTripleH really couldn't get through the first hour of collision. I don't understand why they immediately throw the newest member of the roster into the fire so quickly. Marina Shafir can't do anything right period. The only reason she is being used in matches is because of Jon Moxley. She was struggling when she first came and now she's continuing to struggle wit the death riders. The heel groups shouldn't be working together. Any groups in wcw weren't helping each other. this is a bad flaw for The Don Callis Family with Death Riders & The demand. All them together feel like the overwhelming of the nWo in wcw. I think that's why people aren't buying into this, plus they keep going differently directions with Jon Moxley, first the fans are cheering and then they are booing with the death riders. I am glad Brody King is still being kept on tv, but how about some of the matches with some of the talent on the undercard side to help put Brody King over. I couldn't watch after Brody's matched. they need to fix this otherwise no one is gonna care about the next ppv or any of the special events, it should have been evident when there was barely anyone in the crowd for Blood & Guts."

"Unfortunately, Collision is going back to a weekly skip for me, the feel of the show is reverting back to how it was before the C2. Theres really not any story progression and without the C2 carrying it, theres not much to keep my interest. AEW has really been a miss so far in 2026 and i hope they can get back on course."
germshep24 wrote on 12.01.2026:
"AEW really does need to consider doing some sort of brand split thing with Dynamite and Collision where they actually have certain stars that are apart of Dynamite and others with Collision so that they can have stories that go just for collision so that they have something worth watching on this show as right now their just using it as a placeholder show where they throw match that were not good enough for Dynamite on and hope people will want to watch. The only tme Collision seems to be worthwhile is in December for the C2"

[3.0] "Collision is back to what it was before C2, a boring show where not much happens. It's both sad and unfortunate."
thefool wrote on 12.01.2026:
"It's just flat. That's where things are at now though. Feels like one of those shows that had a moment early on but now just exists to fill a slot, only longer. They're loading up cards with matches nobody's really emotionally invested in. Not a lot happening story-wise either."
Ozwern wrote on 12.01.2026:
[2.0] "These collision shows are brutal but that's pretty much the norm nowadays, it's kinda like what Rampage was after the initial excitement wore off but with an extra hour. Other than not much else to say. This e-sports arena's vibe and presentation don't look good and they just book 2 hours of heatless exhibition matches with not really much exciting stuff happening in between. I don't think Dynamite is much better nowadays but at least you get some top stars and storyline progressions happening there for better or worse. This is just background noise levels of boring."

[5.0] "A somewhat mediocre show, which began and ended with rather unremarkable matches. The middle of the card was more interesting, featuring a decent TNT Championship match and a good El Clon vs. Komander bout. It's still unsatisfying, especially for the women's division, which didn't have a single good match tonight. Nothing exciting outside the ring either, but two good segments featuring Mercedes and Fletcher/Don Callis. It's a shame because the fans were in good form and deserved better. In-ring quality: 2.25/5. Angles and out-of-ring segments: 0.5/3. Bonus/penalty: great atmosphere +0.25. Total: 5/10. Show watched on Triller TV."

"This I think was a safer episode, nothing too insane here. The ceo segment was good. Also the El Clon vs Komander and Briscoe vs Hechicero matches I think were the best, El Clon having some interesting moves that look unique. Although the ending of the El Clon vs Komander match, Komander was still pinned out despite not technically having both shoulders on the ground, this was a nitpick. He was kind of cheated this way."

[5.0] "Skippable episode of Collision with a lot of things that just aren't interesting, but at least they had some noteable names on the show, so I would suggest only watching the segments (which didn't really progress anything meaningfully) and pick the matches that interest you. I would watch Mark vs Hechicero and Komander vs El Clon. Not matches that will blow your socks off, but they were fun."

[6.0] "A show you can skip and not miss a thing; no storylines were continued, they focused more on matches to increase the victories of El Clon and The Demand, plus a TNT title match where Hechicero was great as always. AEW seems to be following the same pattern as last year, leaving all the action for Dynamite and the scraps for Collision."

[8.0] "The fact Yuta has sustained heat from what he did to Bryan over a year ago is very impressive and kinda fascinating. He gets booed without even doing anything, there's something to that. Despite Mox being good on comm, the current DR dynamic doesn't make sense (Mox turned face based off legit work, yet he endorses the shortcuts they take? ). The match itself was better than I expected but idk how I feel about that finish. Skyflight are capable of a good match, but I don't see how they'll get people to care about them (asides Zayda). I liked PAC addressing Darby post match and it's good to see Zayda get some screen time (maybe she can help give the group an identity). Roddy's character is stuck in limbo & Briscoes promo wasn't bad but didn't do much for me. Brody's squash was just that, but I sense a heel turn soon. Glad to see Josh Alexander get more promo time. Thank God they got rid of the big C on El Clon's attire. I actually kinda like his entrance. Still not sure of the finger gesture though. A lot of cool moves, especially from Kommander but the problem with these matches is that a couple of stuff looks too staged and contrived because of the setups that lead to the cool moments. Nice match despite thinking commentary were poor at times here. I've heard a wide range of people complain about Schiovane on commentary and they're justified. I'm saying this as someone who's not always attentive to comm. He's either bad or yelling generic stuff half the time. Very well constructed WrestleKingdom video package, even better than the Dynamite one. The bouquet for Mina was an intriguing touch. In the brief time this lasted, Frost's 2 or 3 moves looked pretty sharp. Mina's good but idk if a figure 4 leg lock makes sense as a finish given her persona. Wasn't expecting her to take a break but Moné's package was pretty good. TNT title match started off with Briscoe frustrating Hechicero, leading to him temporarily abandoning the technical style. After some mat work, they took it to the floor where Briscoe takes some control. Getting rid of the chair and reversing the diving elbow to a cross armbreaker were great. Hechicero targets the limb. 2nd half of this was even better and this was my MOTN. Excellent stuff with my only gripes being the biting spots. I really liked the GYV & Kingston/Ortiz segment. Great delivery, simple and clear motive. Looking forward to more meaningful tag teams in the division. Good FTR & Bandido packages. 6 women tag was fast paced and everyone looked good till Harley did that slingblade that she often doesn't fully get. This was mostly good. I especially liked Harley selling grogginess as Vert was setting up for the diving dropkick instead of just standing and staring (like el Clon earlier). Statlander really looked like the cosmic killer she says she is, but I still don't get what that needs to look like from a promo/character perspective. The post match was painful to watch. The Harley part was alright, but the real issue was the Thekla promo. She's usually a good promo but when she overplays the supervillain thing, it comes off a bit awkward + she's still doing the toxic thing. Playing a more grounded heel might help. The promo on dynamite about Stat spitting at Hayter was more effective. Stats response didn't even register cause I was recovering from the Thekla promo. I was enjoying the Don & Fletcher segment until Don told Fletcher he needed to face Briscoe again. That better be a ruse. What's with these promotions and stalling talent that's prepared for bigger things. Kyle v Mark is a lose lose because a Mark win is wbad for Kyle's stock and a Kyle win just pulls him back to a title he's outgrown. Main event was fun. I was thinking Jetspeed might be Bowens lifeline, then the post match just had me confused."
