[8.0] "Great show top to bottom, with one sole bad match (HoT, shocker! ). Opened by a great women's match and closed by a MOTY contender in Takeshita vs Sabre. 8.5/10"

[7.0] "NJPW cards often have to overcome slow starts and that's what happened here. A good opener but unfortunately followed by the usual disposable filler rubbish and then managing to claw itself back up the further into the card you go."

[8.0] "Overall a great show, everything between the opener and the semi main-event wasn't that good and there were some lows but the highs were absolutely huge. ****"

[6.0] "The opening match with Syuri and Sareee and the tag with the Knockout Brothers are the only matches on here deserving any positive acknowledgement. Most of the card is mediocre to middling. The EVIL match is just the usual shtick, the Tanahashi match is predictably underwhelming. The main event wasn't the worst match on the card from a in-ring perspective but it continues New Japan's dismal cold streak of bad booking decisions and bloated singles matches overly reliant on the "big match" formula."

"What a main event! don't get the boos for Takeshita though he's one of the bloody best wrestlers at the moment and deserves to be the top guy at any promotion, especially NJPW! Also an ending to a good title reign from ZSJ"

"NJPW really is a point to where it needs to start taking risks again to become good again. 2012, Okada won the belt, unironically one of the best surprises in wrestling. It was criticized, it was said to be too risky and stupid, and it became one of the most important decisions in wrestling. NJPW, it is time to start taking risks and having Takeshita win the belt is certainly an interesting one. This show felt like (almost) a welcome change, besides their current House Of Torture stuff that drags down almost every show. Women having time, cool stipulations, simple wrestling, works simply having fun, and big title changes. I got a mix of everything under the sun and it felt refreshing. Now NJPW needs to keep this momentum up, whether that means the Goto Revolution sparks up one more time, or Takeshita becomes a new figurehead, time will tell."

[9.0] "It's weird, the G1 felt like a booking nadir in so many respects because of House of Torture shenanigans, and whilst they're still on show tonight, this felt like a breath of fresh air; like AEW's Double or Nothing this year after Dynasty. Of course, it's not as good as DoN was, but it's still a very good show; probably one of NJPW's best all year. The future looks a little brighter now for the cerulean, and it comes with a blue thunder bomb."

[8.0] "Finally Takeshita winning the IWGP championship and the match was awesome honestly i was getting sick and tired of ZSJ this title reign was not that interesting. The overall show was okay we have not been getting amazing ppv's from NJPW. But nonetheless good booking decision to make Takeshita the world champion lets see how his title reign goes."

[7.0] "The main event ruled. Co main as well. The tag titles match was fun. Evil match needs to be stopped, hopefully it'd Aaron. Tana ELP was solid time limit. Both the 6 man tag was solid. Drilla Sanada was more of a showcase match for Drilla. Syuri Sareee weren't their best but it was alright."

[8.0] "[8.4] Fantastic opener, final 3 matches range from good to incredible, everything else was just kind of 'eh.' War Dogs vs Unaffiliated was alright, Riot in Ryogoku was okay, it was nice seeing Goto back, ELP/Tanahashi was pretty good as far as 2025 Tanahashi goes. The only real dud on the card was Oleg/EVIL just being the same tired House of Torture stuff. Overall, not bad."

[10.0] "New Japan once again proves that they can always pull all their pieces together for a big show. Minus the dismal EVIL vs. Boltin match, this show was fantastic fairly consistently. The opener and last three matches in particular are essential watching."
Tom LeBlanc wrote on 14.10.2025:
[8.0] "It felt like the type of show where NJPW remembered who they were again. It had that mix of chaos, class and absurd brilliance only they can pull off. Sure, a couple matches limped through the card but ending in two back-to-back finales that hit like boss battles. Takeshita vs Zack was pure poetry, while Kidd vs Tsuji gave us raw, bleeding ambition. Even the weirder stuff had flavor."
Pivozavr333 wrote on 13.10.2025:
[7.0] "Overall, it was a decent show with interesting matches and good organization. However, it was a bit long and stuffy at times. There may have been a lack of excitement or surprises to keep the audience engaged. Nevertheless, the overall impression was positive, so I would give it a 7 out of 10."

[9.0] "(8.8) NJPW are really ending the year with a bang anfter a lackluster Dominion + G1, they started it off strong this year and im really hoping they will do the same for next year. I honestly dont think there is a single bad match on this card (not even EVIL Oleg) and the 6 man tags were surprisingly strong too. The highlights for sure were the 3 World Title matches and the Global match. Each of those 4 delivered in their own unique way and really sealed the deal on this being one of my shows of the year."
NikoKillbain wrote on 13.10.2025:
[8.0] "New Japan has gone through one of its weirdest years in decades, but it proves once again that it can crank out a banger show. There was a lot of intrigue, especially as we're heading to Wrestle Kingdom. Some of it doesn't make sense, like the random Women's Title inclusion, or the War Dogs/Unaffiliated handshakes. But there last three matches brought lots of drama. You have to wonder who'll be left out in the cold come January, but Gabe Kidd and ZSJ were once again New Japan's brightest stars."

[9.0] "This was a fantastic event with a lot of really good matches at both ends of the card. Sareee vs. Syuri was a bit short for my liking but was a fantastic opener. The war dogs put on a good match with Drilla and Sanada also surprising me pleasantly, and bar the EVIL debacle, the rest of the card was nearly flawless."

[9.0] "Overall this was an awesome show from top to bottom (except for EVIL vs Boltin). Syuri vs Sareee (****.25): I'll be honest, I woke up a little late for the opening of this one, but I saw the remaining 7-8 minutes and man what an absolute banger to open the show. Awesome stuff. War Dogs vs LIJ (***.75): For a regular multi man match, this was very fun to watch. Everyone performed well and Titan's selling of the overkill was awesome. Moloney vs SANADA (***.5): Good way to end the 6 month long blood feud between SANADA and Moloney. It wasn't super exciting, but it was an alright match. Chaos vs TMDK (***.5): Bland but good to see Goto back. Nothing much to this one. ELP vs Tanahashi (****.25): This was a very fun match between Tanahashi and ELP. If it wasn't for the 15 minute time limit draw, I would've given more praise to it. Story of ELP's damaged knee was there, the match was exciting and enjoyable. EVIL vs Boltin (DUD): Skip this. It was horrendously horrible. KOB vs Fire Heart (****.5): KOB strike again with having another amazing tag title match. First with Ishii and Taichi, now against Umino and Yuya. Awesome stuff. Tsuji vs Kidd (****.75): Much better then their dominion match. it was a symbolic ending to their rivalry this year. Takeshita vs ZSJ (****.75): Amazing match, but it really depends on how you view the ending. I loved this match, but I know a lot of people hate it for having Takeshita as IWGP Heavyweight champion."
