[6.0] "If not for the main event this would be an 8. My only issue was how long the show was going as some matches should have not been there. Too many no DQ matches too and I explained why I hate the ending so much in the match itself. Overall, not one I will remember too positively."
[7.0] "General sentiment is felt with the rest of the reviews with it being a very long show, with the added insight of being live in the crowd. The energy of the building gave out after the Elite trios matches and the rest of the matches felt very sluggish to us. The quality of the matches where fantastic as usual for AEW shows with the TNT title bout being a major highlight, but it was so long people were debating if they can catch the last transit train out."
[7.0] "This was, frankly, a bit of a slog to get through, just due to the sheer length, overabundance of stipulation matches and sometimes questionable card structure (i.e. immedately following a "no holds barred" match with a "no disqualification" match). And that's too bad, because taking each match on its own merits, there's nothing bad here, and some of the matches - Fletcher vs Briscoe, Stat vs Mone and Brodido vs FTR chief among them - are actually pretty great. It's definitely proof positive that "too much of a good thing" is a very real concept. Breaking it up into a few viewing sessions would probably make it go down easier, and allow the viewer to better appreciate the generally excellent performances here."
[7.0] "This show was a case of diminishing returns. While the two mid-card deathmatch-style bouts delivered truly shocking and memorable violence, the remaining 90 minutes dragged, with a visibly checked-out crowd and pacing that felt punishing. Stretching a card to nearly five hours, ending well past midnight, sapped energy from both performers and audience alike. AEW has the ability to salvage long shows with consecutive big matches, but here the later segments lacked that "banger" factor, leaving the overall experience uneven. A few standout matches couldn't overcome the marathon length and exhausted atmosphere; a solid concept undone by execution."
[7.0] "A few matches had glimmers of decent wrestling, but many ended up as over-the-top spectacles or functional title exchanges. As a fan looking for cohesion or storytelling, you got more blood and chaos than anything else. Darby and PAC was a good opener and the main event had moments of great action that ultimately fell apart due to over booking and a curious decision to have Hook be such a pivotal part of the ending. Not a show I'd rewatch but definitely worth an initial viewing. As an aside, the length and clarity of these shows needs to be addressed. PAC vs. Allin could've been so much better if it were 12 minutes instead of 17. Kyle and Jon did not need to be nearly 20 minutes and the same with Fletcher vs. Briscoe. Open with PAC vs Allin, tag title match, Casino Gauntlet if you must, then Kris versus Mercedes then TNT title no DQ and the world title match. 6 matches about 3 and a half hours and you've got yourself a great PPV."
"1) Probably for the first time ever, two of my underdog picks worked out. Going into Full Gear, the story of Death Riders -- Jon Moxley in particular -- was as clear as day to me: Moxley, the leader, loses AGAIN, while one of his teammates handles business he wasn't able to handle. And that's exactly what happened. The Casino Gauntlet taking place right before Jon Moxley's match allowed to remove the rest of Death Riders from the equation and avoid the inconvenient questions regarding their absence in a No DQ match. I'm surprised that not more people picked up on it and were still going with Darby Allin and Moxley as their winners. Low-key, this storyline -- that arguably started at All In -- has been one of the most coherent stories AEW has told so far. By "coherent" I mean that when everything will be said and done, people will look back and realize how obvious all those "twists" and "turns" were. 2) PAC and Darby told a great story in their match. PAC said that Darby was nothing without blows and whistles, and that he, PAC, was a better wrestler and would have no problem outwrestling him. So what did Darby do when the bell rang? He, being the ultimate babyface that he was, started to outwrestle Pac. Eventually, it was PAC who had to rely on blows and whistles to pick up the victory. And that's exactly what heels do -- they lie, brag, get exposed, cheat. Isn't that beautiful storytelling inside one wrestling match or what? 3) Had Bobby Lashley and Shelton Benjamin been smarter, they would've made sure that the National Championship found its home in the Hurt Syndicate. All they had to do was let one cover the other -- one, two, three, and either Bobby or Shelton is your inagural National Champion. Okay, I can forgive the shortsightness of these two athletes. After all, they are fighters -- the competitive spirit is in their blood, and giving in -- even if for their team partner -- is simply not part of their DNA. But MVP, the brain of the group, should have thought of it and convinced his boys to do the right thing. Now --because they let ego took the best of them -- the last person in the world they would've wanted to see victorious in this match, that weasel Ricochet picked up the victory and became the National Champion. 4) I knew the main event would suck, but I'm not going to lie -- the title change took me by surprise. I didn't see Samoa Joe walking out of Full Gear as the new champion in a million years. In my eyes, the feud was just a filler before MJF's return or something, and Adam Page's win was a foregone conclusion. Mind you, the betting odds for Samoa Joe's victory were 1 to 12. To tell the truth, I haven't paid much attention to the World Title scene ever since Samoa Joe entered it. That stupid premise with not properly passing the title put me off immediately, and even the heel turn didn't win me back. I'm not as shocked as I was when Brock broke the streak, but objectively, those two outcomes had about the same degree of probability -- no one, and I repeat, NO ONE saw Samoa Joe winning the match, including Joe himself, I guess. 5) While main event sucked (as expected), the post main event segment was generational. We've seen a lot of returns in AEW over the last 5 years, but this one is probably my favorite. They got me worried when I realized the theme had been changed, but the new song was as much of a banger as the previous one. As a matter of fact, it made Swerve Strickland look so cool that I had goosebumps, which -- as it often happens with me -- overwhelmed me with emotions to the point of me tearing up a bit. Pro wrestling rarely makes me cry (probably once a year across the two promotions -- one might say that's actually pretty often), but when it does, for the most part it does so not by sad stories, but by incredibly cool moments like this. And Swerve didn't come out just to have a corny staredown with the new champ, no -- he immediately re-established himself as a top guy by reminding everyone why he was the most dangerous man in AEW by whooping asses of a dozen aspiring wrestlers with his bare hands right in the middle of that ring."
[7.0] "Good show but as usual with AEW it could have been so much better if they were much more dilligent with what makes it to the card and how long said matches are given timewise. Some of the matches flew by and some felt like a real slog and when AEW works out the difference is when they stop getting 6's/7's & 8's and start getting 9's & 10's from me."
[6.0] "As usual, an event that was too long with too many matches that should have ended much sooner than they did. In my opinion, the event wasn't great even before the Main Event, and after it, as far as I'm concerned, it sank to a 'mere' passable level."
[7.0] "This event was characterized by highs and lows throughout its entire length. If many matches (such as Briscoe vs Fletcher, FTR vs Brodido, and the gauntlet) were amazing, there were many underwhelming matches, like the women's tag team match and, not due to the in-ring quality, the main event. Another thing worth mentioning is the show's ending, with Strickland's return."
[8.0] "Yes, it was very long. Yes it was very good. Highlights were FTR-Brodido, Fletcher-Briscoe, & the Casino Gauntlet. I'm higher than most on the Main Event, so that's controversial, but my review is after a second viewing with fresh eyes - I didn't love it the first viewing, but I was very tired by that point. Low points - Lack of Women's matches/Women's tag 4-way, and the 6-man tag. The criticisms coming into Full Gear 2025 were that there were a lot of rematches and lack of story/build on a lot of matches. I agreed with those, but AEW always delivers in PPVs and makes you forget about those once the bell rings. AEW also compensated with buckets of blood (I'm fine with it, some aren't) and multiple title changes (plus a new title awarded). I can't give this a 7 just on the sheer amount entertainment and excellent wrestling, although I'm tempted to on the average of all matches. A score of 7.5 probably fits."
[8.0] "This one really earned the time it got. The stipulations were solid if not slightly repetitive for some of the spots in the no holds barred stuff. The tag team wrestling really stands out. This PPV made me so eager to tune into Dynamite the following week."
[8.0] "Yet another great, fun AEW PPV, really don't know what else to say. Plenty of shocks and changes here and I trust that they'll all be worth it, even if I'm not fully 100% on all of them. There's so many things now in shift in the AEW landscape, in a really exciting way. Hangman/Swerve/Joe, the Deathriders, the Don Callis Family, Ricochet, FTR, the Women's Tag Titles, potential returns for MJF, Cage and Copeland, and hopefully Jay White. There's so many interesting things to develop over the next few months and I'm excited to see where they all go!"
"The ending of SummerSlam made me want to discover other products, and Full Gear is the third PPV I've watched so far. I'm so glad I discovered it -- it never misses! x 8, 5/10 ABSOLUTE WRESTLING"
[10.0] "Awesome PPV. It's been a long time since an AEW show felt this unpredictable going in, and I was right, not a bad match on the card, and plenty of interesting directions coming out of it. I'm pretty bummed that Hangman lost, but with Swerve coming back I'm really curious to see where things go from here. Overall it kind of reminded me of Revolution 2025: a really strong PPV with several great matches, but a main event that didn't quite stick the landing. Still, the rest of the card was awesome, with at least four matches absolutely worth watching. Really happy for Mark Briscoe and KOR too, both definitely deserve the push. 10/10 for me."
[9.0] "The time just flew by with this show.. that tag team match was absolutely amazing, and the hard core matches while a little excessive were still very entertaining."
[10.0] "AEW Full Gear 2025 absolutely delivered the goods, folks! That steel cage main event where Samoa Joe snatched the World Title from Hangman Page was pure brutality and storytelling magic, with every Coquina Clutch feeling like it could end it all. Mark Briscoe's wild No DQ triumph over Kyle Fletcher for the TNT belt had me on my feet, swinging chairs and all. And don't get me started on Ricochet's high-flying wizardry or Kris Statlander's dominant retention, keeping the women's division fierce. The new tag champs FTR adding that gritty edge capped off a night of non-stop thrills that reminded us why AEW rules wrestling PPVs right now. What a show! And yes I hate you Hook."
[7.0] "For the love of god please stop with these super long PPV's especially at this late at night. So many matches have gotten ruined because they were happening at 11-midnight. Some of these matches would've been better off on TV which would've made the TV quality stronger. My match of the night by far was FTR/Brodido"
[7.0] "Ill give a 7.5/10 this was an above average show from All Elite Wrestling and Joe winning the title was a curve ball I never thought Samoa Joe would get another world title reign in AEW. Like I said this show was really awesome and an outstanding show but it was too long you need to do 8 matches per PPV which is the perfect amount it kind of took me out of the PPV after the Fletcher vs Briscoe match. But I again I did get my money's worth and this PPV is a outstanding show excited to see what's next for AEW."
[9.0] "A great PPV that went full gear (No pun intended) with some great matches and a couple of title changes that were a surprise to see, Swerve Strickland returning following the main event was good to see and hope we get Samoa Joe vs Swerve Strickland down the road. PAC vs Darby Allin: Allin persevered despite not being 100% and still took risks which surprised me in this one, PAC using Wheeler Yuta for the distraction and using the bat to win the match may have not been the best option to go with but it was still a solid official opening match on the PPV [****]. Mina Shirakawa & Toni Storm vs Harley Cameron & Willow Nightingale vs Julia Hart & Skye Blue vs Marina Shafir & Megan Bayne: This was what it needed to be and that was to preview both tournament semifinal matches and some decent level of action throughout, the winners were kind of obvious but still good to see, all teams had their moment to shine [***1/2]. Cash Wheeler & Dax Harwood vs Bandido & Brody King: What a match with Bandido and Kings reign as champions coming to an end, they had a classic tag match with some great teamwork and I enjoyed this more than I thought I would, FTR did show that their experience as a team would triumph in the end [****1/2]. Casino Gauntlet Match: An interesting mix of wrestlers entered which led to some interesting exchanges, Ricochet winning and becoming the first AEW National Champion was an interesting choice to see unfold [***1/2]. Kyle O'Reilly vs Jon Moxley: As violent as one could expect from these two, they showed that they can have a good match and have the chemistry to be able to have a classic match even with the No Holds Barred stipulation, KOR winning was nice to see [****]. Mark Briscoe vs Kyle Fletcher: They took each other to the limit with some solid weapons spots that looked brutal and Briscoe becoming the new TNT champion was incredible to see, both put in a great amount of effort and had the chemistry to put on a believable story through the action [*****]. Josh Alexander, Matt Jackson & Nick Jackson vs Jack Perry, Kenny Omega & Luchasaurus: A main event level trios match with everyone having a chance to showcase what they can do, the action was on point throughout, could have gone another 5-10 minutes and I personally would not have complained [****1/2]. Kris Statlander vs Mercedes Mone: Two of the best women's wrestlers in AEW proving why they are just that, on par with their match at Full Gear 2024, right pacing and right amount of time given to this one, Statlander retaining was actually the right decision and I hope they have a rematch down the road, both showcased what they can do when needed to [****1/2]. Samoa Joe vs Adam Page: A solid steel cage match to end the show, got bloody which was to be expected, The Opps getting involved and Hook turning on Page to help Joe win was surprising to see but it all added to the drama of the match, Joe winning the World Title was nice to see [****]"
[9.0] "Best PPV since All In. More storyline driven than most AEW PPVs and many of the wrestlers (Mercedes Mone and FTR) gave the best matches I've seen them do in a long time."
[8.0] "A really fun PPV, i was there and i had an blast, it was pretty long especially if u count the pre show, but i had an great time none the less."
[8.0] "This was an odd PPV -- it had some major highs (FTR tag title win, Briscoe's TNT title win) and no significant lows, but it was also wayyyy too long and had some incredibly odd placement of matches. Not sure who's idea it was to put two no DQ matches on back-to-back (with similar fork/screwdriver spots, no less), but that really killed off the crowd and made the last few matches lose their aura. The shocking ending with Joe getting the world title again was a wild one, so there were definitely some memorable moments on this show. Just wish it had better pacing and wasn't quite as long."
[7.0] "Decent PPV with an underwhelming ending. Safe to say Briscoe and Fletcher easily had the match of the night, and Briscoe had one of the best matches of his career. I'm not upset with the decision of Samoa Joe taking the main event, it's more the underwhelming way he did so. Altogether a good event, a couple great matches, and I'm thrilled to see Swerve back."
[7.0] "Pretty good show. There was a lot of blood, I really liked the women's four way tag, Moxley Vs O'Riley & Fletcher Vs Briscoe. Enjoyed Darby Vs PAC and the Tag Title match too. Bit of a weaker casino gauntlet match and I didn't really click with the Women's World or Men's World title matches but I think that was more to do with me being burnt out by the time they rolled around. I watched in two sittings and it still felt too long. The million dollar 6-man tag was alright but was more of the same from The Young Bucks and co., nothing terrible here but nothing that stands out as amazing. I give them props for doing two DQ matches back to back and making them both unique from one another. I think AEW would benefit from splitting these big PPVs into two nights. Length complaints aside I can't complain about the quality and variety of the matches provided. Not sold on Joe winning the belt but if it leads to Swerve winning it back I won't have a problem in the long run."
[7.0] "AEW always puts on good in ring work, that is never really in question, but they struggled here with how to pace 5 hours of largely very good wrestling, meaning the overall show is less than the sum of its parts. FTR vs. Brodido and KOR vs. Jon Moxley were the two highlights of the show, both really good matches though neither reached MOTYC levels for me. The main event was quite disappointing and could have easily been a much better match without the convoluted booking, but overall this was a good card, just a shame it did not reach greatness."
[6.0] "Rare that an AEW PPV passes by without a single standout match, but also without an obvious lowlight. The strength of this PPV came from two things - one, the chemistry of the pairings. PAC/Darby, Briscoe/Fletcher, JE/YB, and Mone/Stat are matchups I could watch a million times over. The second strength came from the storylines. While the DRs vs AEW is way past time, like Ricochet vs the HS, all the title changes were great. Ricochet and Briscoe are worthy mid-card champions, and we'll see what happens with 2x Joe."
[10.0] "This was a spectacular PPV with several story advancements, phenomenal in-ring work, and shocking twists/turns. With the C2 starting this Wednesday and the story progression witnessed here, the next couple weeks of TV feel can't miss. Several matches here had great in-ring psychology, while maintaining the great in-ring quality you expect from AEW. The main event scene here compared to last year looks night and day, and I'm very excited to see how they navigate the top level challengers, with MJF and his contract looming in, against Joe."
[10.0] "AEW PPVs always deliver. Card was stacked & all the matches overdelivered. A bit of something for everyone and that is what I enjoy the most. Bravo to the entire staff on the card! ."
[9.0] "Such an amazing PPV. Started really strong and ended in a spectacular segment. I loved the pace, one of the best AEW have had in recent memory, though the lenght problem persists. There was a lot of 9/10 matches, what makes this one of the best shows of the year. Excelente!"
[9.0] "A PPV with some top-tier matches and others that were just okay, but nothing below average. Four title changes are a lot for one PPV, and of course some people won't like that, but you have to consider that AEW needed a breath of fresh air and you'll say, with Joe? Yes, with Joe, because he's obviously a transitional champion and he's excellent in that role. The best matches of the night were definitely the AEW Tag Team title match, the No Holds Barred match, the women's world title match, but above all the TNT Championship match. All in all, a really good PPV that sets up new feuds and new champions. Good stuff, another top-level PPV."
[10.0] "A rock solid show from top to bottom, not a weak match to be found once you hit the main card - especially if you like your wrestling with a lot more red, as all three stipulation matches met their violence expectations in different ways. Casino Gauntlet match was great fun. Tons of storyline progress across the entire show, and some insane performances. 10/10 like most AEW PPV's, I always leave keen to watch more AEW."
[6.0] "An otherwise good show that was dragged down by the horrendous finish of an underwhelming and off-putting main event. The cage match stipulation is designed to prevent outside interference. When that stipulation is promoted it's communicating to the fans that "this match will have a clean finish." If AEW was determined to have a interference filled main event, then they shouldn't have booked a cage match on the first place. It's a blatant "bait and switch" for the audience."
[9.0] "AEW continues to make banger ppvs, not only has every ppv been good but every ppv has been fan fn tastic. The sheer depth of great matches on this card is mind-blowing especially considering they are still missing a tot of their best workers. The death riders went from being the dent in the armor of aew to being the best story in wresting"
[10.0] "Another phenomenal PPV in 2025 for AEW, it's not a 10 in the way All In or Double or Nothing were but those 2 were frankly more like 11's if such a thing existed and I'm struggling to mark this show down for much. I didn't love the main event or its result in isolation but I love the Hook heel turn and the total revamp of the world title picture and all the unpredictability that comes with it not to mention the return of Swerve Strickland. Basically everything else on the card was absolutely stellar, Mox/KOR was truly unique in the sense it was basically a submission match with 2 weapons used, Briscoe/Fletcher was incredible with a feel good finish, the Elite reunion was a great moment, Stat/Mone delivered yet again, the Casino Gauntlet was exactly what it should have been - just a ton of fun, Brodido/FTR was one of the best tag matches of the year and Pac/Darby was a perfect opener. It shouldn't be underestimated how impressive it is to have a show where the "bad" matches are ones rated well in the 6s. 2025 is arguably AEW's strongest year overall but Dynasty aside I think it's definitely their best on PPV."
[8.0] "I didn't watch this PPV live, not because I had to, but because I chose not to, as I didn't find the build-up interesting and, above all, I felt there was a serious lack of suspense surrounding the matches on offer. Well, I regret that now, because it was very good, but at the same time, it will teach me not to skip an All Elite PPV."
[8.0] "Another great AEW PPV. Several great matches here with PAC/Darby, Mox/KOR and Kyle/Mark being the standouts for me among several other pretty strong matches. There were some fairly big moments here too with several title changes, the most shocking of which being Hangman's loss to Samoa Joe in the main event. I definitely wouldve liked Hangman to hold the belt for a bit longer and im not to thrilled with the way they took the belt off him but i enjoyed the match and im certainly not going to complain about another Joe world title reign. There was also a big return on this show with Swerve coming back after the main event to save Hangman from an Opps beatdown. Swerve isnt my favourite guy in the company and im not sure how i feel about him going for the world title straight away but it was a cool moment nonetheless. As with all AEW PPVs this was absurdly long when it didnt really need to be, and as a result the crowd were pretty much dead for the last two matches. Overall though, this was a very strong show and one that id say was an improvement over last year's Full Gear. MOTN - Darby Allin vs. PAC"
[7.0] "Another good AEW PPV with no bad matches but nothing that particularly stood out except for Fletcher vs Briscoe. Maybe I was spoiled by having 3 PPVs in a row that started earlier over the summer but I found my hype levels going into this and Wrestledream were much lower mainly because of the later start times. If you're going to have your show run four or more hours it would really help to start them earlier, the crowd were pretty much dead for the last two matches and I can't blame them."
[9.0] "We were this close to yet another near perfect pay per view, but man did the main event fall short of expectations. The event as a whole, bar the million dollar match and main event, was tremendous and genuinely felt like it flowed at a very reasonable pace. Pac being the one to put down Darby was great as it further strengthens the narrative that Moxley is no longer fit to be leader, as Mox had to use the assistance of his stablemates to put Darby in a coffin, and subsequently tapping out to Darby in a very cowardly manner. Brodido has had an exceptional reign as tag team champions, and it felt like a very appropriate time for them to drop to FTR, as the story with FTR/Christian and Cope is seemingly far from done. KOR and Mox was a masterclass as Moxley continues to shine with his in-ring psychology, while simultaneously elevating KOR to the next level as by giving him the win of his AEW run. The trios match was in my opinion the weakest match of the card as we've seen this matchup between The Bucks and Jurassic Express countless times already, with their encounter at Wrestledream being far better than what we've gotten here, but the story into this was to meticulously set up the Elite reunion, which I can appreciate. Stat and Mone was a fantastic match that had truly stood the test of time in their incredible series, but were unfortunately given a very exhausted card as we were nearing almost 5 hours into the event by the time it was the women's turn."
[8.0] "A very good show, driven by two high-level matches (the tag team match and the TNT match). The other matches were, at worst, satisfactory and, at best, enjoyable and well-constructed. The suspense was often present, and many things surprised me, both during and outside of the matches. The Elite reunion was predictable and a bit rushed, but the segment was still effective. On the other hand, the title changes surprised me, as did Hook's heel turn. There were many emotions at the end of the PPV with this title change, this heel turn, and, of course, Swerve's return. Finally, the crowd was often enthusiastic but, unfortunately, a little reserved during the women's match. In-ring quality: 4/5. Angles and out-of-match segments: 2.25/3. Bonus/penalty: good atmosphere +0.25. Total: 8.5/10. Show watched on Triller TV."
[9.0] "Really fun event, probably the most fun I had watching an AEW PPV this year, it had some low moments, and not a very high moment, an all-timer match in particular, but the fact it had 3 or 4 matches that I can identify with, and produce the type of wrestling I like, that's enough, this show definitely had a better production than the last PPV's, it was less tiring, and with better choices being made. This had a lot of Death Riders, which is cool because it's the most interesting story going on in the company, and the main event worked out super well, with the title change and the establishment of The Opps as a super badass main event stable."
[9.0] "AEW just can't miss when it comes to PPVs. This quality of these shows just never gets below a certain standard. This one wasn't the best show of the year, but was still a really strong show with a few standout matches. The opening trios (or part of it at least, considering it began on the Tailgate Brawl) was solid. Okada and Takeshita's dynamic carried the match. Mistico had a nice comeback. PAC vs. Darby was GREAT. Darby took some gnarly bumps per always and him and PAC had some great chemistry. The women's four way was solid. Brodido vs. FTR was excellent. I love Brodido, but I can't complain over FTR winning; they're just too good for me to be upset. I hope Brody and Bandido will keep tagging after this. The casino gauntlet match was really fun. Lots of great and funny moments. Ricochet winning feels right after all the great work he has done this year. Mox vs. KOR was amazing. Very grounded in its approach (quite literally actually due to all the mat work) with just a few weapons being used (chair, fork and chain). The grappling and submission exchanges were great, the fork spots will always make me cringe, and the storytelling was very well done. Moxley is WOTY. O'Reilly has a lot of momentum; hopefully they'll capitalize on it. Moxley is so cooked, btw; that stare Claudio gave him... Fly high king... Fletcher vs. Briscoe was amazing. Much more flashy that no holds barred with lots of insane spots. Briscoe winning was the right call; so happy for him. DCF vs. Kenny/Jurassic Express was good. It did kinda drag on a bit for me, but the action was fun. Kenny and the Bucks reuniting just feels good. Stat vs. Monè was great, however a tired and lackluster crowd hurt what was a fitting ending to their trilogy, both in terms of quality of the action, but also for Stat finally beating Mercedes. Joe vs. Hangman was a really good main event. Part of me is bummed for Hangman losing, but Joe is like the most beast wrestler ever so I can't complain. If anything it's a shame Hangman lost 'cause of "HOOK". But, hey, at least Swerve is back and he and Hangman might team up so everything should be fine. All the matches delivered; one of those rare occassions were there isn't even a bad match on a show. There wasn't the usual 5 star classic (or multiple ones) like on other PPVs, but there were plenty of 4+ stars with the Tag titles, Tnt title and no holds barred being the standouts for me. 9/10."
[10.0] "Another awesome PPV from AEW! As always. Particularly loved the Tag titles, PAC vs Darby, and TNT title match. Opening Trios match got the show off to a flying start. Interesting feud we've got going on between Don Callis family members. Not a big fan of the Elite reuniting once again but let's give it time to see how it plays out."
"8.5/10 - AEW just does not miss when it comes to the PPVs. Every match was good to great with some fantastic story continuation. The Take/Okada dissension is palpable, those two are gonna have a MOTY when it finally goes down. Briscoe getting the win was great although seeing him in The Family would've been great TV, this now allows Fletcher to elevate up the card. Mox is about to get fucked up by the Death Riders. FTR and The Bucks continue to show us why they are the two best tag teams of all time. Surprise title change in the main event that I am not mad at, keeps things fresh. Swerve and Hanger's dynamic is awesome after their death feud and now almost out of respect aiding one another, their rivalry will be talked about for decades. Shout out to Mercedes and Stat for showing out, like that was even in doubt. I thought Mark Davis looked good tonight, most of us forget how dope Aussie Open was after KF meteoric rise. Awesome show."
[8.0] "Another solid ppv from AEW though still one of the weaker PPVs of the year: the big 4 matches you were expecting to be great delivered: AEW Women's World Title Match, Mark Briscoe vs Kyle Fletcher, Jon Moxley vs Kyle O'Reilley, and Tag team championship match with Kyle vs Mark being the match of the night. The World Title Match could have been much better, and the women's 4 way tag matches felt unnecessary and only there for 2nd women's match it would have been better to have one of the tag tournament semi final matches there instead. The 6 man tag match should have also been better with the people involved as well The other matches were all good"
[10.0] "As always a great show with many great matches. The main event having a surprise turn and joe winning the title again was the highlight of the night for me. Solid performance from all the wrestlers. Mark winning the tnt title was such a feel good moment for one of the biggest babyface in the company right now. Kyle o'riley being the only one to tap out mox back to back was fun. The elite reuniting will always get a thumbs up from me. what a story these guys have. Cant wait to see what happens with mox and the death riders now. Claudio looks to be in charge. Mercedes not winning the big one is the absolutely correct choice here, also kris statlander's entrance was cool af. FTR wining the tag title for the 3rd time in a hell of a match. bandido carried the match. Also swerve returning at the end to lay out the opps dojo guys was awesome. Overall a solid 10 ppv for me."
[7.0] "Lots of good stuff as usual with AEW PPVs, but the length was very much a problem and hurt both of the 2 world title matches. The finish to the main event damn near killed my love for wrestling, thank god swerve came back right after. FTR vs Brodido MOTN."
[8.0] "After the 1st 3 matches, the opener was the highlight for me. I was feeling a solid 6 at this point. The next 3 included a surprisingly fantastic casino gauntlet match, a stinker from Mox (at least we got the right finish) and a hell of a cleanup job from the tnt title match to pick this up. Million dollar post match was obvious but drawn out longer than needed. The women's match was well worked but boring. I liked the DCF angle though but again, you'd think Kyle should be selling like it's death smh. I was uninterested in the ME till the screwy finish (genuinely surprised) and Swerves return but they go mess it up with new music. For all the good TK does, he just has some questionable instincts men, these are not the moments to try new songs for crying out loud. Even Punk debuted cult of personality AFTER money in the bank. That being said, I left feeling this ppv was more consequential than Wrestledream while also maintaining a high floor for match quality just like Wresledream. Match preference order. National Title > TNT Title > PAC v Darby > Million Dollar Match > Tag title > Main Event > 4 way tag > Women's title > Mox v Kyle. EDIT: just re-listened to the new swerve theme, and I actually think it makes sense. Much higher on it than within the context of the long ppv. I still feel like maybe they should've done the old one for the pop, then debuted this on dynamite."
