[8.0] "The first half was great. Both tag matches were really fun, specially the opener. I love any match with Speedball or Roderick Strong. Ace Austin had a great debut as an underdog and the crowd loved him, while Ricochet gets some needed momentum back. The second half wasn't as good, both four ways were fun to watch but a bit messed and there's not much to say about Juice vs Bryan. The segment with Toni and Athena was pretty good."
[6.0] "Enjoyed the debut of Ace Austin. He was one of the reason I watch TNA, so excited to see what he does in AEW. Disappointed Blake Christian & Lee Johnson lost to a pair of jobbers. Match of the night was the women's match, even though the ending was predictable."
[7.0] "First time watching AEW Collision and second time watching anything AEW after Dynamite on Wednesday! This was a pretty good show! I'd say a 7/10.I don't really have much to say tbh, all the matches and segments were just very solid! I still have to get used to all the characters but I can say that this was pretty enjoyable!"
[5.0] "The epitome of a fine episode of TV, this was a breezy watch and the action came thick and fast, but the ceiling was surprisingly low given the talent on display. Nothing outright terrible but most of the matches were just really average with only the opener being something I would describe as good."
[5.0] "I didn't like this episode at all, the opener was the best match on the show but the DR bs hurt it a little bit at the end, then nothing really remarkable happened before the 4-Way and the main event while good was a little boring and underwhelming"
[9.0] "Fantastic collision once again. Collision feels like an important show the last 4 months. It has been amazing with guys like Fletcher, Ricochet and Garcia featuring regularly. Great opener and main event with some good matches in between. Loving that it has a completely different vibe to dymamite as well. Overall another amazing show by AEW."
[8.0] "Collision opens with an excellent promo from Toni storm and she is interrupted by a great promo and beat down from Athena and Billie then we get the return of Mina for the save. We then get a video package of what happened on Dynamite between Hangman and MJF. We then go into the opening match between Yuta and Moxley vs Jetspeed. This was a great match with an annoying screwy finish. We then get a package for the nights main event. We then get a pretty cool out runners package in the forms of an 80s training montage. We then go into Ricochet vs a debuting Ace Austin this was a solid match and a great debut for Ace. We then get. Backstage promo from THS ahead of the Tag title defence at FD ans about the future of MJF and indirectly calling out the people making up rumours about them and speedball we then get a pre match interview for Roddy and KOR ahead of there match vs Lee Johnson and Blake Christian and Roddy calls out Kyle Fletcher. For a sub 5 minute match this was really good Kyle and Roddy got all of their great tag offence in which always makes a match great and Lee and Blake got some nice moves in and bumped and sold well. We then cut to FTR who have laid out and Unmasked Bandido but Brody comes out to make the save but gets powder in the eyes from Stoke then FTR hit the Shatter machine. We then get a promo from Skyflight (Big meh) challenging the DCF to a match of Don's choice for Glasgow. We then have the 100k women's 4 way between Kris, Penelope, Julia and Anna Jay. This was a really solid match with some great action from all 4 especially Stat and it had a good postmatch angle as we continue the build to a hopefully a women's blood and guts match and we get a return for Harley Cameron. We then get a promo from Kyle Fletcher ahead of his match with Takahashi at FD the Prostoshita summer is in full effect. We then get a promo from Stat and Harley comes to congratulate her before Mox (who looked at Harley the same way we all do) and Yuta interrupt to tell her she has always been right. We then go into the next match Juice Robinson vs Bryan Keith this was a pretty meh match that was not helped by only being 7 minutes. We then get the announcement of the max caster open challenge next week and a promo back stage from Bowens about how more people should talk about him instead of talking about Caster and how he is tired of Max's chant. We then go into our main event of the evening for a shot at the IWGP title between Nigel McGuinness (Tony please pay for Oasis for FD) Daniel Garcia, Hechicero and Lee Moriarty. This match was bloody great long live technical wrestling Zack and Nigel are going to put on a fucking masterclass at the O2 we then get a post match interview with Renee and he asks Garcia to be in his corner for the match (Heel turn incoming for Garcia I reckon) to close a really good episode of collision. Overall a really good episode of Colliosnnn with some great matches though out and some nice story beats and progression with some great segments and promos. MOTN: Techincal spectacle WOTN: Nigel McGuinness"
"Everything Athena said in that promo is, once again, 100% true. I understand that there's no way she dethrones the current Women's World Champion at Forbidden Door, but boy-oh-boy I wish she would. In terms of in-ring action, this episode of Collision put to shame Dynamite this week."
[6.0] "Interesting, but not fantastic, matches to start and end the show, but a rather disappointing midcard. Outside of the matches, I really enjoyed the final segment with McGuiness and Garcia, and we also had some nice little segments with Athena/Storm, Harley Cameron's return, FTR's attack, and the Outrunners vignette. In-ring quality: 2.5/5. Angles and non-match segments: 1.5/3. Bonuses/penalties: none. Total: 6/10. Show seen on AEW Plus."
[4.0] "Thank God AEW has one of the best PPV hit-rates of any company. That's their absolute saving grace when they're producing television like this since All In. Apart from the matches being a bit crap, we have another match up announced by way of a tiny graphic for the women's four-way at Forbidden door, but still don't know who the Stardom rep is. It feels like only Mercedes and Windsor even matter in that match. Ace Austin turning up is a plus and he had a decent match with Ricochet. JetSpeed, as a team, has only made me care less about each of those guys individually. The pretend money four-way was pretty bad, as was the main event, and Juice vs Keith was barely even really a match with its runtime. There is one thing from the main event which did raise my interest a little, and that was the post-match. There's potential for Garcia to turn on Nigel in London. The angle they used, with Garcia saying for several weeks now that it's his dream to be on a card in London has been a pretty good set-up. Whether they go with the turn or not (and I think it would benefit Garcia to turn), the story of Nigel offering Garcia that spot to partially make his dream come true has been well-seeded."
[5.0] "I thought this was a largely dreadful two hours of wrestling. The only real enjoyment I got was from Ace Austin vs Ricochet and everything else felt like a chore for different reasons."
[8.0] "Good show after the embarrassing first segment. Matches were really good with a nice debut and the Mox/yuta vs Jet Speed was a great opener. Good show to continue the build toward forbidden door 2025 next week"
[7.0] "How on earth was a taped collision better than the recent subpar live ones we've been getting is so weird to me but this episode definitely felt more like a true B show to supplement dynamite rather than having the late stage rampage stink on it. If only some of the top names other than Toni and Mox could be bothered to show up on Collision consistently than these shows would even feel more important and relevant. All of the matches were alright, nothing crazy in there. Great opening promo from Toni which lead to Mina's return with a big pop, also the same can be said for Harley. Also Ace Austin debut happened which was cool but I do think he should have won his match. Nigel is definitely an interesting choice for a title match but considering it's the UK, it makes sense. Overall a decent show which was better than the recent slop we've seen on collision but that's not exactly a high bar to clear."
"Really fun episode of Collision. The IWGP World Heavyweight Title #1 Contendership four-way (Nigel McGuinness vs Daniel Garcia vs Hechicero vs Lee Moriarty) was a great mix of styles and Nigel looked amazing getting the win. Ricochet vs Ace Austina fantastic showcase -- fast crisp and full of energy. The rest of the card was solid too making the whole episode very enjoyable"
[7.0] "Better Collision than Dynamite this week. Good promo by Athena, she's really good when she gets serious. Ace Austin impressed me, saw a bit of him in New Japan and he'll be a star for AEW. Harley Cameron is a welcome addition back to tv, she makes every segment she's in more fun. Funny/well produced outrunners vignette, really wouldn't mind them as tag champs rather than HS/FTR/Cope and Christian, all of them are boring in comparison. I'll be honest I always tune out when Paragon is on screen but fun show."
[7.0] "Overall fun Collision with multiple meaningful matches, as well as some seemingly inonsequetial yet entertaining ones. Collision has sneakily become a very enjoyable watch. The show unfortunately fell off a bit in the second hour though."
[8.0] "Technical spectacle made me feel alive after a rough week. Seeing Ace Austin debut was so cool, guy was a favorite of mine in TNA and you can already tell he'll fit AEW like a glove."
"I thought this was one of the best collisions we've seen in a while. Ace Austin's debut in AEW was a great showing for him, and the main event match was a crazy technical exhibition."
