The opening match was also mid, same goes for the surprise appearance. The other matches ranged from fine to good, the main event being the standout. Leon Slater cut a great promo, he looks like a star now. Jacy Jayne cut the usual "don't underestimate me" promo even though her group always help her win, which is getting a bit lame now. Tbh, this was the best Impact in a long time. |

I liked Maclin and Slaters and the Hardys added top that solidly. Jacy Jayne and Masha were pretty good too. women's tag was good fun with Sade being a very welcome surprise while the main event was solid as well in building up Mike Santana again. wish tna cut the tag match as they could have gave more time to the fun brawl between Something and Mance and give the tag more time on next weeks. both suffered from them being short. I could have seen something and mance fight forever so I woulda picked them for this week. sorry for the couch booking lol overall a really solid build and the stars all dunked when given the easy layup opportunity. (aka the exceeded expectations) |

Jacy Jayne's promo was okay. Leon Slater's promo was great to watch especially when The Hardys and Steve Maclin came out to the ring. Cassie Lee, Jessie McKay & Mara Sade vs Ash By Elegance, Heather By Elegance & M By Elegance: A solid opening six woman tag team match with Sade (who made her return/debut) being the surprise partner for The IInspiration which was good to see, the match was solid and the right team won [***1/4]. Jake Something vs Mance Warner: A fun brawl while it lasted as did not get much time, Something winning was the right call on this one [**]. Jason Hotch & John Skyler vs Brian Myers & Matt Cardona: A short match that had an interference spot that allowed The Great Hands to get the win which should have not happened, was not greatly booked and should not have happened on the show [*]. Mike Santana vs Joe Hendry: A fun match to follow on from the main event of Slammiversary, they have good chemistry and it showed, Santana winning was good to see and hope he gets another chance at the World Title [***3/4] |

So many things about this show reeked like decisions that attempted to make amends after Slammiversary: Numerous "rallying the troops" segments vaguely referring to challenging the NXT roster, plus Something and Santana earning what felt like pity wins (albeit with good performances) after puzzling losses on Sunday. It felt like if you missed this episode, you didn't really miss out on any of the major storylines - not what they should've been doing with a rare live episode after such a high-profile event. Next week looks good. |
