[4.0] "The fourth hour here was painful to get through. Fyter Fest Dynamite started off strong but Collision was a slog to get through after hour three. You could really feel the time ticking by with each passing segment. Summer Blockbuster Dynamite and Collision were formatted way better than Fyter Fest for certain."

[8.0] "I preferred the second half of Fyter Fest more than the first. Great opener with the Best Wrestler in the World Will Ospreay defeats the uber-athletic Lio Rush. Great tag team match with FTR beating Atlantis Jr. and Templario. Really good six-man match with the DC Family knocking off Bandido & The Outrunners. High-flying 4-way match for the ROH TV title, with Nick Wayne successfully defending his title. Wish the women's match would've been longer, and allowed Lady Frost to showcase more offense. A mid main event."

[7.0] "I feel like Collision had better matches (Dynamite main event excluded) overall and was the more enjoyable half to watch. Every match on the card delivered imo, with the trios and the tag being the standouts and Hangman cut a pretty good passionate promo, even if the crowd was reacting a bit weird at some points. Still I can't quite give it an 8.0 as it is more so of a 7.5."

[7.0] "Having watched this separate from the 2 hours that were billed as a Dynamite episode I feel whilst obviously the second two hours were a little below you still had some decent stuff on the card. with 5 very solid matches that all did what they needed to as well as Thekla's first match were she looked really good interested to see her match vs Aminata tomorrow night Also the return of Tay Melo to team with Anna glad that Tay is Finally back and it looks like we move closer to the women's tag titles finally being a thing. The best parts of the these two hours were Hangman's short Promo and his first face to face with Moxley starting the serious build to the match at ALL in and for me the match of this two hours was FTR vs Templario and Atlantis JR then obviously the face off and announcement of Omega Okada 5 although watching this 6 days later it was not really a surprise. All in all a solid 2 hours of Collison but i think the fatigue that the people watching live felt shows why 2 hour separate TV blocks are much better as the show is tight and flows better."

"1) Every time Lio Rush steps into the ring against the top guys like Shelton, Swerve, or Ospreay magic happens. He has this special chemistry with opponents who are clearly out of his league. 2) Hearing "AR Fox" chants really made me smile. I'm glad I'm not the only one who appreciates his effort. For a moment, I even cherished the hope he might win the ROH TV Championship. I couldn't be further from truth, as he not only did not win, but he was the one who ate the pin (again). I mean, Lee Johnson could eat the pin, right? Unless they plan for him and Christian Blake to be the first members of Ricochet's new group (otherwise, how to explain his presence at the commentary desk for this match? ), so it would look off if Ricochet started to add losers to his stable. 3) I just wish they ended this special 4-hour broadcast with a bigger bang than a random 8-man tag team match."

[3.0] "The opposite of the first 2 hours. Incredibly boring and time really started to hit me after the hangman promo. Got annoyed at the lack of women's wrestling as well. Watch the dynamite portion of fyter fest and skip this part."

[7.0] "I really liked this Collision, but I understand the bad ratings from the people who watched the 4 hours straight. Pretty good matches, FTR vs Atlantis and Templario being my fav, we had Hechicero, Tay's return with a great pop and the women's tag division getting better, Thekla's debut, some people with not so much TV time who deserved it and more. Sadly, only 2 minutes of women's wrestling, and being after a Dynamite with not so many more makes it even worst, that honestly takes one point away, AEW women's division is way over that little time."

[5.0] "The second part of Fyter Fest got off to a good start with an unexpected but effective confrontation between Omega and Okada. But the rest of the show was rather disappointing, with no memorable matches and lots of fights with little suspense or interest. Even the non-match segments didn't add much to the stories, confirming the overall narrative weakness of this Fyter Fest. Tay Melo's return, Tekla's debut and the good atmosphere still saved this second part. The Omega-Okada announcement is pleasing, but the "Winner Takes All" comes too quickly for my taste. We suspected it would happen, but throwing it in like that might not have been the best idea. In-ring quality: 2.75/5. Segments and angles outside matches: 0.5/3. Bonus/malus: nice atmosphere +0.25. Total: 5.5/10. Show seen on AEW Plus."

[4.0] "This part of the show was absolutely meaningless and no story progression going towards All In at all. Ospreay Vs Lio was a good match, Hangman had a good segment but wished we got an actual segment with Hangman & Moxley. Everything else on this show was just a boring to sit through with predictable match after predictable match. The matches being so predictable takes a lot of excitement out of a lot of AEW shows I feel like and that's something they need to work on. Overall a pretty boring episode of Collision outside a few entertaining things."

[7.0] "Will Ospreay vs Lio Rush: An alright match to open the Fyter Fest episode of Collision, Ospreay winning did make sense but should have done it in more convincing fashion as it was way a bit too 50/50 for my liking, Action Andretti getting involved was not needed [**1/2]. Cash Wheeler & Dax Harwood vs Atlantis Jr & Templario: Good showing even in defeat for Templario and Atlantis Jr here against FTR on the road to Arena Mexico shows in a few weeks time and this loss did not hurt the CMLL duo at all, the action was solid which was good to see [***1/2]. Hechicero, Konosuke Takeshita & Kyle Fletcher vs Bandido, Truth Magnum & Turbo Floyd: Went on a little bit too long, there were some decent spots from Bandido with Takeshita and Fletcher, the action overall was okay [**3/4]. Nick Wayne vs AR Fox vs Lee Johnson vs Sammy Guevara: Strong showing for everyone involved here, there were some good moments and sequences with Wayne retaining which was good to see [***1/2]. Thekla vs Lady Frost: A squash match to welcome Thekla into AEW in her debut match, Frost was average as expected [*]. Adam Cole, Daniel Garcia, Kyle O'Reilly & Roderick Strong vs Josh Alexander, Lance Archer, Rocky Romero & Trent Beretta: A solid main event match, everyone got their moment to shine and show what they can do, the crowd was not fully into this one due to being towards the end of the 4 straight hours of AEW of the night [***3/4]"

[7.0] "Great debut for Thekla. Good Hangman promo about having Ospreay's back. The somewhat-rushed return of Tay Melo. Some solid wrestling everywhere else, but nothing that was blow-away great. Paragon need an angle, and as much as I like Bandido and the Callis Family with Hechicero, that match and the main event just felt like placeholders to take up TV time. Not enough women's division presence on Fyter Fest in general this year. 6.5/10 but rounding up to 7. It was a fine show. Once again, when AEW is so often "great" or "top tier, " "fine" and "good" feel like relative disappointments despite there being some enjoyable stuff on the shows. Looking forward to these four-hour experiments being over so we can go back to two-hour shows."

[10.0] "I enjoyed most of the matches on this card. My main critique is that when the majority of matches are spotfests, each one has to go above and beyond just to stand out, and that's been a consistent issue with AEW. You can have match after match filled with wild spots, flawless execution, and high risk moments, yet they can still blur together and leave little lasting impact. Most of these matches would be seen as 10/10 if they took place a decade ago. Also Thekla's debut was short as many of us probably expected, but awesome. She's very unique and she showcased so much skill, power and athleticism in such a short amount of time. Hopefully she'll be around for a while."

"The last two hours of Fyter Fest were clearly not the better ones. Ospreay vs. Lio was a fun sprint. Hangman saving Ospreay was coo; the promo he delivered afterwards was cool albeit shot and we even got his first interaction with Moxley. FTR vs. Templario/Atlantis was good. Outrunners and Bandido vs. DCF was fine. That's when I really the fatigue started setting in. Had no idea why they did another four way after the one for the International championship; I didn't care at all for this second one. Tay Melo returning was cool. Thekla had a great debut; not really familiar with her work, but I'm already sold on her. DCF vs. Paragon was a fine main event. Show had potential on paper, but a 4 hour block is really tiring. Lack of women's wrestling was a major issue, too. 6/10."

[5.0] "The second part of Fyter Fest wasn't as good as the Dynamite part. Still ok but not on a higher level. The multimen matches were fun. It's a shame that the women just got a 2 minutes match on a 2 hour show. What's the problem with adding a second women's match and a promo segment? Where are Athena, Riho, Yuka Sakazaki, Nyla Rose, Shida etc.? You have such a good and deep women's roster and you don't use them. It's a shame. Do better Tony."

[7.0] "A victim of circumstance, really. I don't like downrating shows that are well-structured and are competently wrestled, which this show is. But, cards on the table, I know these two weeks are an experiment to see what works and what doesn't when it comes to moving Collision around, but years of experience, even within AEW, teach us that people start flagging at about two and a half hours of TV wrestling. If you view this as nailed onto the Dynamite preceding it, I won't begrudge you for getting exhausted, but as a Collision on its own? Actually, pretty solid."

[6.0] "While the first half of Collision was good, it really felt like every match was worse and worse. The crowd started to care less and less and honestly I did too. I guess it doesn't help that you start with a banger Dynamite and then have to watch just an ok Collision to end it."
MooGati wrote on 05.06.2025:
[5.0] "The Don Callis Family tags are a fun recurring match of these past few weeks, but please, PLEASE don't do 4-hour TV blocks again, AEW. After the Hangman and Moxley standoff I felt my energy nosedive. Do what everyone wants and switch Collision to Thursdays, because 4 hours in a row on a weeknight for just TV is too long and Saturdays are for PPVs."
