[5.0] "This show was fine I suppose, but nothing really got me too excited. The semi-main and main were both decent, but not really up to the standards New Japan has set for main event matches in my opinion. The rest of the card was pretty mediocre, but still fun to watch with only one match I found kinda boring. Overall, a fun and easy show to watch, but not a show I'm gonna remember for anything, even with Naito's NJPW farewell match on the card. [MOTN: Callum Newman vs. Hirooki Goto]"

[7.0] "The undercard was pretty long but they tried to make it special with people from other federations and legends. It didn't always work but at least it was entertaining and the last two matches were two bangers. Overall it's worth a watch for what it is. ***1/2"

[6.0] "The top two matches are both fairly good. This also being the last time we'll see Naito and Bushi in NJPW (at least for now) makes this show a little more interesting, but you could take the marquee matches from both nights of Wrestling Dontaku, put them together, and still not really have enough to put together a real stand-out card. Seven out of nine matches are tag matches. It's a low-effort show with two biggish matches on top."

[8.0] "Both nights of Wrestling Dontaku delivered! The undercard tags were better in quality--but also more prevent--on Night 2 than Night 1. It was cool to see all these other wrestlers outside of NJPW appear. I first saw TAJIRI in 2005 (my first live show after becoming a wrestling fan) so it was cool to see him here. LIJ having their potentially last match together hit harder than expected. Naito looked like he was holding back a ton of emotion. Tsuji retaining makes total sense but I was shocked at the same time. Uemura/Tsuji will main event the Tokyo Dome sooner than later and Uemura fought for pride over the title here which cost him in the end. Kidd vs Tsuji in a rematch is perfect and the logical next step for both (Kidd as IWGP GHC and Tsuji as the likely G1 winner). LIJ having one more photo op in the ring afterward with Naito letting Tsuji take center stage was cool but curious where this officially leads because commentary made things a little muddled. As for the main event, Newman went above and beyond. Fantastic match that delivered on all fronts and Newman now has that first extra bit of story that NJPW known for. He's young and the current IWGP Tag champion. He's got what it takes and shook off the negative Ospreay-isms during this match in favor of things he lacked (selling and in-ring storytelling). Would love to see these two run it back in the G1. ZSJ vs Goto for Resurgence is fine but I wish they'd had saved it for a Japan event but a likely Shingo vs Goto match at Dominion is great. I'm just glad Shingo is back on the main event scene which is a spot he never should've left."

[8.0] "A good second night, despite it being less interesting than night 1 because the card had fewer stakes, but what bangers those 2 title matches were. NJPW is doing a good job developing its new talents who are taking over from the veterans."
