[7.0] "The first hour of this Nitro kinda just happens really as theres a lot of squash matches and not a whole lot interesting happens there, but I thought the second half was really good. Four Horseman vs RnR Express was surprisingly a classic match and I criticised it in a previous review, I am now won over by the storyline where they're fighting the two footballers because there's been some really entertaining stuff going on in this. Bobby The Brain deciding to coach them was really entertaining all night because of how it backfires on him with Mongo and Greene getting Macho on their side. Elsewhere, while it doesn't go to a conclusion and I wished I could see more, the Tag Team Title main event was enjoyable for what it was. Sting confronted Hall in the last segment of the show and they were still planting some seeds as to what was about to go down."

[7.0] "This was a fun episode of Nitro, but with a lot of squash matches. The Rock and Roll Express and The Four Horsemen locked up in a great match and the Sting/Luger Vs. Steiners main event was worth a watch as well. The Mongo and Kevin Greene promo was cringy, but necessary in order to find a way to bring Savage in as their coach at The Great American Bash."

[7.0] "John Tenta straight up got me hyped for his feud with the new member of DOD Big Bubba. Faces of Fear tested the new High Voltage in a squash match. Craig Pittman vs Disco was nothing but I'm happy Craig won, the guy is better then I originally thought. Regal is getting push after his awesome feud with Bruiser but I'm sick of Duggan, I just want him to go away. Kevin Sullivan beating Prince Ikea in his debut match on Nitro nothing there really. The Rock and Roll Express return and immediately starts feuding with the horseman. Ice Train gets squashed. Hugh Morris gets squashed. And finally we get the feud between Sting and Lugar vs The Steiners is heating up. Very fun episode Nitro but too many squash matches."

[8.0] "Another good Nitro highlighted by a GREAT main event, a rematch of one of the best matches of WCW's history. The Horsemen/RnR tag match is also really good, and I love the angle with Heenan agreeing to return to manage, ahem, "coach" the Horsemen at the Great American Bash. Scott Hall's foreshadowing of more to come in the hostile invasion is just icing on the cake."

[5.0] "The second two hours Nitro isn't good as the first, it's full of squashes and the star power isn't used properly. There are two good tag team matches, the Rock and Roll Express is always great, and Ric Flair is charismatic to carry many angles himself. Still, it lacks something and the two hour formula is not perfected yet, it's easy to see how much time is wasted."
