[6.0] "An enjoyable show that, unfortunately, lacked a good crowd and a really good match as an highlight although the in-ring action was above average. Moxley's opening promo was as good as usual. The guy is just a poet sometimes. Brody/Darby opening angle was solid. This story of Darby willing to do whatever it takes to be the face of the company is intriguing and if it ends up with him becoming World title has potential to be an all-timer. Also I'm glad him and Brody are getting another chapter to their story. Komander vs. Hologram was the best match of the night. Post-match was just some AEW-pandemic nonsense that I sorely missed. LFI reutining under Jake Roberts' wing is a bold statement but it happens to be true. Daniel Garcia made his return and announced he's staying with AEW. Glad DG made this decision but now it's time to stop with this stop and go booking and have him win some gold. Wouldn't mind seeing him dethrone Jack Perry. Women's four way was a total mess. Really bad match here. But at least Willow won. Jay White looked good in his first match back but, honestly, I just can't buy him as a babyface. He's just too good as a heel. But I'll let it play out. Monč vs. Sakura was a good match. Sakura delivers everytime she's given a chance to be on TV. Ospreay/Callis angle was one of my favorite things on the show. Really well done segment that builds-up the three way match for WrestleDream and future stories regarding the Don Callis Family with Fletcher not wanting to hurt Ospreay but wanting to stay with the family. Pac & Claudio vs. Danielson & Yuta was a good main event yet a bit disappointing considering the names involved. But I can understand not wanting to go as hard considering there's a PPV just around the corner. Overall: some really nice angles and a couple of good matches make up an enjoyable go-home show."
[8.0] "I loved this show throughout, and thought that it was a well done and nicely paced go home show. A mixture of good / great wrestling with Hologram Vs Komander being the standout match, Mercedes vs Emi and the Main event were also strong matches. This does feel like Bryans final dynamite match as a full-time wrestler. Moxley and Briscoe delivered outstanding promos please let Mox open the show every week. Darby / Brody and Ospreay also had good promos building towards there Wrestle Dream matches. Hopefully now Garcia has officially re-signed he can start being a more heavily featured performer. 8/10"
[5.0] "With so much focus on Grand Slam and Dynamite 5, it seems Tony Khan neglected this episode and the pay per view that follows. So it wasn't the greatest go home show, nor was it the best crowd either. Sickness and travel issues related to the hurricane played some part too. Hologram/Komander was the match of the night, while Mercedes/Sakura and the BCC tag main event were solid enough but nothing special. The women's four way was pretty poor though and it doesn't make much sense what's happening with Willow and Statlander, who appears to have turned face again with no explanation. Other than that, I'm glad Garcia is staying but something felt really off with this weeks show. Still looking forward to Wrestledream though because their PPVs rarely miss, but it does feel like they may have squandered some of the good will post-All In/All Out with some sloppy and rushed booking since then. The new TV deal is great news but I hope it doesn't make Tony Khan believe there aren't plenty of improvements to be made."
[8.0] "Other than the four way women's match, which I thought was pretty lackluster and 1-2 backstage segments, everything else on the episode was great. The opening segment was a little weird in its details, but I think it did the job to build anticipation for the match. Hologram v Komander was fun, as their matches usually are and the stable that seems to have formed is promising. Daniel Garcia didn't say much, but his promo was pretty good. The Jay White match was entertaining for a squash match and although I wish there was a little bit more build for the match with Hangman, I'm looking forward to it anyway. Mone/Sakura was good as well, however I don't understand why Kris goes after the midcard title and Willow the main one, even though she lost the feud. The Ospreay/Callis segment was one of the best moments of the show, the International Title match was going to be great anyway but this segment added more intrigue to the it. And finally, the main event was a great match, with a chaotic post match to end the show."
[4.0] "[4.0] This episode was called Title Tuesday yet only one title match was on the card. They never planned for this. They just haphazardly put up a card and called it a day. This episode was so boring. Moxley once again starts his cryptic nonsense rambling. It was cool when he did it first because we all thought he'd start revealing his reasons slowly but he hasn't gone anywhere besides that point. Everything is still in the shadows... Darby once again cut a promo about his indie days and how he was so poor and now he is rich. Brody comes out and it becomes a little more interesting. Crowd was absolutely dead though. I'm sure the match is going to be decent but why is Darby offering an open challenge after being destroyed by Jack Perry and Moxley.... Don Callis and Jake Roberts had a segment. Callis is one of the worst guys on the roster. I've never once actually heard him say anything negative or heelish. He says plain things and that's it. He trades Rush for Lance Archer... Garcia cut a promo about he is not leaving. Crowd seemed into it... Mark Briscoe's promo was my favorite from the episode. He was dead serious and showed no goofiness. Shows you how talented he is... This was probably the first Mercedes segment I have liked in a long time. She cut a decent promo... White beat some jobber in a squash and cut a long promo. He took quite some time before he got to his actual point. This AEW Jay White is a hollow shell of his past... Ospreay had an interesting segment with Callis family. I definitely liked this segment... But the matches were so bad. Kommander vs Hologram was full of sloppiness and botches. 4 way women's match was messy and full of annoying shenanigans. I absolutely hate it that Hayter is being kept away from the title opportunities because of Penelope Ford of all fucking people. Mercedes vs Sakura was ok but I have no reason to watch Sakura. She is old, has no build up and she always loses... Main event was so boring. Wheeler Yuta is never going to happen no matter how many attempts he gets. It is kinda sad that Danielson's final title reign is going to be around building Yuta up..."
[5.0] "The wrestling was generally fine, but this was a pretty boring go-home show for Wrestledream. I also thought the Darby/Brody opening segment was weak. While I'm sure their match will more than deliver, that particular part of their buildup felt forced and unnecessary."
[5.0] "A very lazy go home show. The matches amounted to a throw away, albeit fun lucha match that under delivered, two heatless women's matches, and a main event tag that was dragged down by being part of a poorly told, half baked story. The majority of the show was promos and angles, which is never a good thing. Piss poor booking."
[4.0] "Not a great episode of Dynamite. The Darby promo was his poorest in weeks. Saying that Brody King was coming for his spot after he so willingly gave up his spot to Moxley was poor writing. I'm a huge fan of Jon Moxley, but this current gimmick is incredibly self indulgent and his dialogue has become quite wooden. Ospreay doing Don Callis stuff is also pretty uninspiring. Some of the booking has been perplexing. Statlander beat Willow yet she's going after the midcard title while Willow is going after the main title. The only two bright spots for me were the tag match and Hologram vs Komander."
[8.0] "I didn't need a pull back the curtain promo by Darby Allin on Brody King. King is a monster, don't humanize him with a story from the past, telling us how you got stroke with TK to get him a job to feed his family. Throughout the episode we got a cool back stage talent exchange between Don Callis and Jake Roberts, and a run in between Hook and Christian. The Will Ospreay/Don Callis/Takeshita/ Kyle Fletcher/Ricohet encounter was tremendous, and what is going on with Top Flight? Meanwhile, in the ring we get a great opener between Hologram and Komander. Then we get told Britt Baker is a scratch, and Willow will take on Saraya, Harley Cameron, and Jamie Hayter for a shot at Mariah at Wrestle Dream. We get a shocking return by Penelope Ford! Who takes Hayter out of the match, but unfortunately that means WOD member Willow gets a title shot. Jay White is back wrestling on TV, even if it was a squash match. Can't wait for his match at Wrestle Dream. Mercedes defends her title against Emi Sakura. Been too long since we had tea with Emi! Loved that she got in a ton of offense. Hope we get an AEW or ROH title on Emi at some point, she is so entertaining. Solid main event, with good storytelling with BCC civil war."
[7.0] "I had low expectations going into this show but it actually turned out to be pretty good. Instead of focusing on counter programming NXT like they did last year, they actually focused on building up Saturday's PPV. All the matches were pretty solid on this episode, but the stories were the main focus here. The Darby/Brady segment that started the show was pretty great, obviously the stuff at the end with Bryan and Moxley was good too, and the whole ordeal with LFI aligning with Jake Roberts was a pretty fun segment, if not a slightly random pairing. Not everything hit here, like the Ospreay promo which I really couldn't have cared less about and of course the usual suspects like Jericho were there to at least momentarily stink up the show, but overall I enjoyed most of the stuff that happened on this show despite my lack of excitement going in. MOTN - Danielson & Yuta v Castagnoli & PAC"
[10.0] "Wow, didn't expect such a low rating. I loved this Dynamite. It was a very, very story-driven go-home show, especially with the limitations AEW faced due to travel issues with a number of the wrestlers. I got the name Title Tuesday, which was used mainly for the Main Event, as each of the four participants in the Main Event held a title, Wheeler, PAC and Claudio are the Trios Champions and Bryan is the World Champion. The show started with an intense, badass promo by Jon Moxley followed by a badass promo by Bryan Danielson on the Main Event tag team match. To start the show Darby Allin and Brody King have a promo exchange, discussing their history in AEW and Darby reveals he got Brody King signed to AEW, the segment ends with Darby telling Brody to nail him with a somersault senton in the corner, but Darby nails him with a rock, busting him open and the duo get pulled apart. Hologram vs Komander was an awesome Lucha match, I really, really enjoyed it. After the match, it was revealed Jake Roberts swapped Lance Archer for LFI. Next up Daniel Garcia confirmed he's resigned to AEW, which is a very smart decision, couldn't see him working too well in WWE. Next up was the women's Four Way Number One contenders match, between Willow Nightingale, Saraya, Jamie Hayter and Nyla Rose which was won by Willow Nightingale. During the match Penelope Ford returned to distract Jamie Hayter for some reason. Next up after the Learning Tree segment with Rocky Romero, which was fine, Jay White beat an Enhancement guy and cut a passionate babyface promo on Hangman, leading to the announcement of Hangman vs Jay White at Wrestle Dream. This review is getting too long. So long story short. Mercedes Mone beat Emi Sakura in a fine match, Don Callis revealed he ordered the attack on Ospreay and Ricochet, leading to The Don Callis family attacking Ospreay and Kyle Fletcher. Jack Perry cuts a promo on his match vs Katsuyori Shibata, wants the Shibata who nearly died for the business. The Main Event was a banger. Got goosebumps once again by The Final Countdown as I have every time, and the match was great, specifically with great storytelling. The show ended with Bryan & Moxley brawling before their match at Wrestle Dream. Very good go-home show and I'm sure Wrestle Dream will be fantastic"
"9/ I really love this show; I thought it had a great flow. I'm somewhat surprised it's receiving low ratings here. I enjoyed all the anglesheck, even the Jericho segments didn't bother me. I found all the matches to be good, fulfilling their intended purpose. It just seems like AEW is constantly under scrutiny in a way that other companies aren't at the moment."
[9.0] "I thought the angles and storyline development on this show was awesome and the matches were good to great too. Really great pacing and people I enjoy watching on the show"
"Sleepy crowd tonight that came alive during the main event and the hottest things on the show. This show was well put together despite all the hurricanes going on that affected production. Every segment had meaning and was well done. Some segments could have been moved around for a better flowing show but competing with NXT, they understandably loaded the back half with all the great stuff. LFI getting together under Jake The Snake Roberts was unexpected but intriguing. Good matches outside of the oddly booked 4way match, which was a last minute change so I understand. Overall great show with the best things being everything Don Callis and BCC and the worst being the 4way match."
[8.0] "Enjoyed this show a lot! Had some great matches on it, especially Hologram v Komander, the 4-way (that unfortunately came out of Britt's inability to make it), and the main event. The segments here were also excellent, I'm genuinely curious to see what Jake and LFI do in the future, and Hurt Syndicate is pretty interesting to me as well at the moment. The promo between Ospreay and Callis was definitely the best segment of today, with genuinely strong reactions from the crowd and Ricochet having ridiculous height at the end to nail Takeshita, incredibly excited for the triple threat on WrestleDream."
[6.0] "With only one title match and one no 1 contenders match, not much of a title tuesday episode of Dynamite, it was okay but could have been better, some of the segments were okay especially Will Ospreay/Don Callis. Hologram vs Komander: They put on a good opening match, there were some insane looking spots, but there were a few mistimed botches that were slight, enjoyed watching it and Hologram now 14-0 in AEW which was impressive [***3/4]. Willow Nightingale vs Jamie Hayter vs Nyla Rose vs Saraya: Not a good match, Penelope Ford returning and attacking Hayter which was not a good booking decision, the match was slow and sloppy, Willow winning was kinda obvious [*1/2]. Jay White vs Cody Chhun: A squash match to get White back in action following his hiatus from the ring, nothing memorable happened [*]. Mercedes Mone vs Emi Sakura: An enjoyable match, enjoyed it more than I thought I would do, Sakura did a great performance against Mone who is undefeated in AEW [***1/4]. Bryan Danielson & Wheeler Yuta vs Claudio Castagnoli & PAC: A really good match that heavily focused on the upcoming Danielson vs Moxley match this weekend at WrestleDream, as well as the tension within the BCC, great solid action from all four [****]"
[4.0] "This dynamite just felt like a thrown together mess. I think a combination of travel issues due to the incoming hurricane to florida and sickness for some talent (Britt Baker) were a cause of that. However, this episode didnt really know what it wanted to be. Title Tuesday but only one title match, one with a predictable outcome at that. The storylines felt very ah shit wrestledream is this weekend-esque. Im a really huge fan of AEW and this was just disappointing. Highlights of the show were Hologram and Komander, two incredible talents putting on a fun match. There were points you can tell they were a bit gassed but they held it together. This whole show kind of just felt like filler, and for the go home before a PPV, one that is potentially main evented by Bryan Danielsons last match as a full time competitor, its just disappointing. Wouldve liked there to be more depth to the Team AEW (Bryan, Wheeler, Private Party, Komander) vs BCC (Mox, Claudio, PAC, Marina) story. Felt like they began that idea and just didnt really follow up with it. Another thing I really didnt like was the talent trade between Don Callis and Jake Roberts, having Callis become the manager of Archer and Roberts presumably managing LFI, it felt very forced and weird and done only for logistical reasons for a plot point or story element in the future. Also weird how the two managers just traded talent and the talent have to just be okay with it. As if it were like an NFL or NBA player getting traded. Jeff Jarrett on commentary wasnt great, wouldve preferred someone like Daddy Magic in that spot. Especially with the Daniel Garcia promo, daddy magic on the call couldve made that a little more personal and heartfelt of a moment. Its okay to have filler sometimes, or maybe a lower point show wise, not every show can be a slam dunk, but this was just really not great. Bad enough to make me feel the need to write about it. Wrestledream will more than likely deliver with stellar match quality, but Im not sure where were going from here storywise. Like after the great matches at wrestledream, then what?"
