[8.0] "Good show and an improvement from last week. Two very good matches and solid (albeit campy) promos from Giant/Sullivan and Hogan/Hart. I even enjoyed the DDP angle with Badd, and Meng v Duggan was fine for a short, simple breather between two good matches. This one is worth the watch."

[8.0] "Much better show than last week with an excellent Benoit vs Guerrero clash that stands out as one of the very best early era Nitro matches and the storyline with Sting becoming Flair's tag team partner was also a really good hook for the show and even though the main event of the show ended in a count out, I found it very entertaining. DDP also has a very entertaining heel moment where he cracks Johnny B. Badd over the head with his title belt. The Hogan v Giant feud really is the pits and even though Hogan is supposed to be more heelish during this, in his segment he just rambles on and on!"

[6.0] "Fun episode that didn't annoy me until Duggan came out, but the tag match saved me. Ric Flair has been the star of Nitro with his feud with Anderson and Brian Pillman. Badd vs DDP gonna be sweet though."

[9.0] "Another great Nitro! Benoit and Eddie tore the house down for the first time in WCW, and the absolutely fabulous Arn/Flair storyline continued with a great tag match and some strong character development."

[7.0] "Enjoyable Nitro. Cruiserweights stole the show again. Benoit vs Guerrero is an awesome match. The best one on Nitro so far. Duggan vs Meng is terrible. Hulk Hogan cuts another cool "heel" promo. Main event is pretty good. Short lived team of Sting and Ric Flair started here."

[5.0] "One of the better Nitro episodes I have seen, if only for the very good match between Benoit vs Eddie and the decent enough main event and post-match. There were two duds in the opening match of Badd vs DDP and Meng vs Duggan. Badd vs DDP never even started due to DQ, while Meng vs Duggan was a 2 minute affair involving Duggan's ridiculous selling and mannerisms. Luckily Benoit vs Eddie was a very good match given its time limit. Benoit was very intense and hard hitting while Eddie had great technique in all his lucha-based moves. Some very nice exchanges all around. I wish it could have gone longer. ***1/4-***1/2. There was a promo from the Taskmaster and The Giant which was absolutely dull. Taskmaster was devoid of charisma, droning on and on in the same tone. The Giant looked really awkward too, not aided by his incredibly comical 'monster' dialogue. Flair & Sting vs Arn & Pillman was fine enough. Flair looked strong going 1v2 without Sting's help for the first half. His chops were sharp and he made many entertaining poses and taunts. Sting finally came in and got a very energetic hot tag, even if his work was very basic. Good (but short) efforts from Pillman and Arn also. Disappointing ending by count-out. **1/4. Cool post-match as Sting gave a convincing promo to explain why he took so long to enter the ring, saying he was basically testing Flair's fortitude. Things ended nicely as Flair and Sting united after putting each other over on the mic. If not for that Benoit vs Eddie match this would have been just another bad Nitro episode. Luckily it was just plain mediocre."

[7.0] "A good episode of Nitro, with a solid Benoit vs Guerrero match and a hyped main event with the team of Sting and Ric Flair that gets a spotlight. Hulk Hogan still wears a black shirt and talks about evil. It's not a perfect show but it's on the right way."
