[6.0] "2 good matches and 2 really average matches and then ending in one of the greatest video packages all of time. Come on guys this isn't a 8 rated show. The mox segment wasn't needed and could of been added onto the main event match, it could of easily been done in a backstage segment."
[5.0] "Ending in the best piece of video AEW ever produced, but a show that was overall just a bunch of incoherent stuff as usual. Same production issues as always across the entire show and stuff just happening. Even the incredible ending was wasted with no real build besides a shoehorned social media post earlier in the show based on the premise that every viewer is on twitter talking about inside stuff like contract renewals. A lot of the real issues in the company on display. In isolation the final segment is legitimately great."
[6.0] "For a Go-Home Show the focus on Promos and a final hype was the right decision in my books. Phenomenal final shot of the episode. The Wrestling fix was given with the opening match and the main event (even though the matches on the show did not impress me much). Show hyped me up just enough to look forward to All Out."
[6.0] "There were some good matches on this show, but it felt a bit too promo heavy for my tastes. None of the promo segments were bad (in fact the closing segment with Hangman and Swerve was great), but promos are just not what I tune into a wrestling show for personally. [MOTN: Kazuchika Okada vs. Kyle Fletcher]"
[10.0] "To me this was the perfect episode of Dynamite. Great opening promo by Garcia and MJF which built there match on Saturday really nicely. Okada and Fletcher delivered classic style match for the continental championship and the first teaser for Okada and Takeshita. Mox continued his storyline which again added intrigue (nice little wink to Jack Perry) A fun women's championship match - any time Mariah May is on screen is a plus. Mercedes continues to be the star the women's division needed - really looking forward to her vs Shida. Main even was fantastic as you would expect with the talent involved. And then the true main event... what a segment by Hangman and Swerve. This was perfection. (10/10)"
[7.0] "Loved the opener between Okada and Kyle Fletcher. It felt like a PPV match. The crowd didn't react much to the MJF/Garcia promo confrontation. Liked the Hayter vs. Renegade match, although it could have been longer. Always a treat to watch Mariah May wrestle. The crowd really got into the main event between the BCC and the Conglomeration, which added to the excitement. Hangman you are psychotic."
[7.0] "The Go-Home show for AEW All Out ends up being a good one. Not really anything to write home about except for the ending segment which got people talking about AEW again. Hangman and Swerve really knocked it out of the park and I'm really excited for what's to come in the Steel Cage match. The opening with MJF and Garcia was pretty good and managed to be effective for All Out. Okada vs. Fletcher was good but not that memorable. They made Jamie Hayter look strong with the squash match and managed to attract interest around her. The Moxley promo was a bit tame considering his return that left us with more questions than answers. May vs. Rose was forgettable. Take Mercedes Mone off the microphone or give her a script because she can not cut a decent promo that doesn't come off as annoying or non-impactful. Jack Perry cut a nice promo backstage that added slight interest for his World Championship match against Bryan Danielson. The Main event was pretty good but nothing too memorable and again that closing segment was beautiful. Overall, a really good Dynamite that attracted my attention to AEW again but the problems that were said are still here. [***1/2]"
[6.0] "This episode was a bit more talk heavy than it should have imo. The Garcia/MJF segment could have been shorter, especially from Daniel's side, since the more he talked the less convincing he sounded to me. Still not a bad promo, but he looked better last week. The ending was great though. Continental match was great. Kudos to Fletcher for putting on great matches with different opponents throughout the week. Both women's matches were pretty disappointing. I understand the kayfabe reason for matches like Hayter's but I don't think they add anything to the show. Title match was fine but nothing special. Moxley's promo was also not needed, he didn't say anything new or gave any clues about what is going on. The Mone/Shida segment was alright, nothing new from Mercedes but she wasn't bad and Shida did pretty well. The main event was fun, it couldn't have been anything less than great with the people involved. Finally, the ending segment was fantastic, probably the highlight of the whole show. Overall, for the men's matches and the Swerve/Page segment, a 6/10 is warranted."
[6.0] "This is the first episode of Dynamite I've seen in a very long time so I'll try to be brief since I don't watch week to week ---Daniel Garcia and MJF had a promo exchange to open the show---. DG needs to put on some more muscle imo right now he just kind of looks like Eddie got liposuction. They both cut okay promos against eachother. Funny detail was the worked security and the shoot security being right next to eachother because the shoot security guy was just standing there while Garcia attacked the other ones. MJF hits Garcia with a bottle and kisses the blood on his forehead. I hate when they do stuff like that it just comes off as unhygenic to me ---Kyle Fletcher vs Okada---. This was a pretty solid TV match. Kyle did some nice looking stuff but I hate his haircut. It lost me towards the end where Okada hits Fletcher with two rainmakers and then Fletcher counters the third and they have a countering exchange only for Okada to hide behind the referee and sneak a low blow and then another rainmaker to get the win. Just take out the first two rainmakers and also the trading forearms spot and then it would've been perfect for what it was. ---Conglomeration backstage promo with Will Ospreay---. This group just looks like a character sheet for white guy archetypes. Willow looks like a very fun person to be around. Briscoe cut an entertaining promo for the main event. ---Jamie Hayter vs some jobber---. Saraya and that other girl was watching on the screen. Hayter has a very colorful outfit in nice hair. Got the win in two minutes with a lariat that honestly looked that better than Okada's. ---Moxley promo with Marina Shafir---. I don't know what this gimmick is and I was half listening because I got distracted by Moxley's shiny bald head. He wants to fight Darby Allin because its been four years or something idk. Marina Shafir looked pretty ---Mariah May vs Nyla Rose---. Standard women's tv match. Back and forth for a little bit until Mariah stuns Nyla on the outside. Nyla beats the count and gets finished off by Mariah May. It was what it was. ---Jericho and the Learning Tree backstage segment--- He's mad at Orange Cassidy now over a segment that happened 4 years ago that they already had a blowoff match for 4 years ago. Cassidy showed up and talked smack to Bryan Keith since they have a match coming up on Collision. I could care less about any of these people. ---Mercedes and Kamille Segment---. Quick promo by Mercedes about how shes the best and Shida sucks. Shida pops on the screen wearing Solo Sikoa's leather outfit it looked really weird. Chris Daniels said Kamille is banned from ringside and Shida called Mercedes a bitch. I don't really care about any of this. ---BCC & Pac vs The Conglomerate & Will Ospreay w/Danielson on commentary---. Pretty average 6 man tag. I was tired by this point so I didn't really analyze this much. Ospreay and Pac fought to the back and had a skirmish there. The ref sucks he doesn't enforce anything. BCC beats Kyle O'Reilly with the swing into a dropkick. I don't think I've ever seen Kyle win a match in AEW. ---Post Match---. The Bucks, Perry, and Okada jump Danielson and the BCC but they eventually just scare them off anyways. Claudio challenges the Bucks for the tag titles and Danielson said Fuck on TV. ---Hangman Swerve Contract Signing---. Swerve was in the ring but then the video came up with Hangman at Swerve's childhood home. He cut an alright promo but he kinda sounded like he was changing his voice to sound more grizzled if that makes sense and it distracted me. Hangman pours gasoline on the house and then sets it ablaze as Swerve watches in horror. Neat little Segment. ---Overall it was like a 5/10 besides the Fletcher match and maybe the Swerve/Hangman & DG/MJF stuff this whole show was pretty unremarkable. I will be watching the Takeshita match with Beast Mortos on collision because I love Takeshita and Mortos has a funny twitter account."
[7.0] "An episode which started strong, was okay in the middle, and ended strong (match-wise), before a segment which is intriguing if not a little silly. I think we all saw some kind of destruction coming the second they showed Swerve's literal house. Burning the place down (and endangering the neighbours) stretches believability too much for me, but I will say that I thought Hangman's delivery was good. As silly as that angle was, these guys have the history with their Texas Deathmatch which allowed me to believe that when the moment and story calls for it, they can have a brutal match. They have the stage with the cage match and the justification with this angle so I'm okay with it. It was at least memorable and I'm looking forward to their match at All Out. I'd imagine this Moxley thing will be getting a reveal at the PPV, but it feels like there's not much time to build the Darby match if they're doing that now. Garcia might have performed the campest angry ring exit and pursuit in history but he's come into this feud with significantly improved promo ability."
[7.0] "Okada and Fletcher was strong as expected but with zero jeopardy in terms of any title change. Show dramatically accelerated for the last 40 minutes, trios match was entertaining and finished with Pac and Hangman both going a bit mental to promote their PPV matches. Obviously their not condoning burning entire houses down on the weekly main show and the final cutaway scene looked like a different set. Solid 7/10 episode building up to All Out and about as good as can be in between two PPV's within two weekends."
[9.0] "Outstanding episode of Dynamite. They just had a big show less than 2 weeks ago in All In. And yet here we are successfully hyping their next PPV All Out. This show was bookended by two spectacular and twisted segments. The MJF/Garcia promo and the Swerve/Hangman segment were both phenomenal. I am looking forward to both matches. We also got solid build to Mercedes/Shida, Bucks/BCC and Ospreay/PAC. Fletcher/Okada and the trios match were very good. I was a bit disappointed by last week's show but I think the crowd really helped this week."
[8.0] "MJF and Daniel Garcia opening promo was okay, an okay final build to their match at All Out that had a couple of entertaining moments, the Swerve and Hangman segment was shocking to say the least ahead of their match at All Out. Kazuchika Okada vs Kyle Fletcher: A decent showing from both, Fletcher on a couple of occasions was close to winning the title, the brainbuster he did to Okada on top of the barricade looked good, the ending did play into the heel persona of Okada and was a creative ending, the timing was just right for these two to do what they needed to do [****]. Jamie Hayter vs Robyn Renegade: A squash match to get Hayter on the show which is not a bad thing [*1/4]. Mariah May vs Nyla Rose: For a first title defense this was not a bad one from May, the match was slow to start getting fully started but it got okay towards the end [**1/4]. Claudio Castagnoli, PAC & Wheeler Yuta vs Kyle O'Reilly, Orange Cassidy & Will Ospreay: PAC and Ospreay had quite a few preview moments ahead of their match at All Out, the others involved did their parts well and the match was actually great, MOTN in my opinion [****1/4]."
"8.5/10. One of the best Dynamite of the year for sure. I have no more words to describe how great AEW is and how much Dynamite verge on perfection. 2 Weeks ago We had All In in London I was there and the show was the best show I have ever seen live, 2 weeks after we have All Out and Tony Khan give us a card that is as good (if not better) that the one we saw on Wembley. I love this new Jon Moxley persona and I am curios to see where he will take us. I loved the matches between Okada and Fletcher and May and Rose and also the Main Event was pretty awesome (can't wait to see Pac vs Ospreay they might put on the match of the year), but of course the most important thing was the contract signing and that's what is great about AEW: is not the first time that we see someone put on fire something in a wrestling show but HOW Hangman did it is untouchable, what he said during the promo in Swerve's house and how the show ended with Swerve almost having and heart attack. This can quite be the best feud I have ever seen in all the years I watched pro wrestling. The distinction between good and evil is not that clear, the line between heel and baby face is not so evident. We will se and amazing Cage match this saturday. Can't wait."
[8.0] "Garcia schooled MJF on what an actual pro wrestling promo is and I then really enjoyed their scrap, the opener was good and I thought the Hangman segment was an all timer. I didn't love the rest of the show but Ill take it if that is what they top and tail a tv show with."
[10.0] "Amazing Episode of AEW Dynamite, the opener match with Okada vs. Fletcher for the title was very fun, they fought in the crowd and hell we got to see Konosuke Takeshita come out and be face to face with Okada which popped me so much because a match between them would be amazing. Jamie Hayter racks up another win as she's 2-0 since returning it was a squash but they gotta reestablish her back after being gone for a year and a half. Mariah May had a successful first title defense as she defeated Nyla Rose the match was okay nothing to special but Mariah May is a superstar and is gonna have a great run with the belt. The Main Event match was great I loved the six - man tag team match, the fans were behind it, and we saw BCC & PAC get the win which caught me by surprise. The last segment of the night is probably one of the greatest segments I've ever seen with Adam Page burning down Swerve Strickland childhood home, and we saw Swerve Strickland in distress, and begging him not to do it. The history behind this rivalry is amazing this is truly AEW Greatest Rivalry yet. But what Hangman is doing is justifiable because Swerve Strickland broke into his house, and tormented Adam Page for months so it was expected that Adam Page was gonna come back and make Swerve Strickland life a living hell and he has done just that making him lose the AEW World Heavyweight Championship, and burning his childhood house down, and now we have the Lights Out Steel Cage Match at ALL OUT in Chicago in the Main Event of the Show. Amazing Episode of Dynamite and I can't wait for ALL OUT in Chicago especially the Swerve Strickland vs. Adam Page bout."
[9.0] "One of the greatest Dynamite go-home episodes ever. The forever timeless and awesome segment when Hangman burns Swerve's childhood house will forever be etched in history. Also, an all-time great opening segment between DG and MJF. Two great matches. A Dynamite episode for the ages."
[10.0] "Banger Go Home show for All Out. The show started with a fantastic segement between Daniel Garcia and MJF. Garcia cut a great firery babyface promo on the dastardly MJF. He's genuinely became very strong on the mic. MJF responded and fired up Garcia enough that he made a B-Line for MJF and took out a number of security guys before reaching MJF who struck him with a wine bottle, cutting him open. MJF thanked Garcia for bringing back the MJF he needed to find again. Mark Briscoe and The Conglomeration had a segment with Renee as the interviewer and Mark talked about Ospreay joining the team and cut his usual passionate promo to fire up his team, for the Main Event. Next up was Kazuchika Okada vs Kyle Fletcher who is right now on a run facing some of AEW and NJPW's top guys. The duo delivered a great match. Okada won after a low blow and a Rainmaker with less than a minute left. Okada looked great and it continued Fletcher's run against the best AEW have to offer. Next up it showed the video that was on Twitter, of Swerve buying his childhood home. I think everyone could see what was coming a mile away. Next up Jamie Hayter won an impressive squash match. The next segment, Roderick Strong was peeved that he tapped out whilst his foot was on the rope, when he tapped out to HOOK's Redrum. HOOK offered him a match, but he turned it down. This match could happen at All Out. Jon Moxley and Marina Shafir attacked some random bozos, before coming out to talk. Before that he had a small interaction with The Elite, and said Jack Perry was a sweet kid, to me this was planting seeds for Mox leaving the BCC as he didn't appear later to help them in their fight with The Elite. Mox simply called out Darby Allin, he probably wants him to join his new stable. The Learning Tree then had a short segment saying he wants revenge on Orange for dropping Orange Juice on his $7, 000 suit in 2020. This was to hype up Bryan Keith vs Orange Cassidy on Collision. Next up The Glamour Mariah May defended her AEW Women's Title in a fine outing againt former champion Nyla Rose. It was fine. After this there the CEO Mercedes Mone and Hikaru Shida had a short segment to hype their TBS Title Match at All Out in a fun segment. It should be a great match. Before the Main Event, The Bucks and Jack Perry talked, saying they'll do whatever it takes to end Bryan Danielson's career. Then. The Main Event. Wow what a crazy, fucking awesome 6-Man Tag Match. Nineteen Minutes of balls to the wall chaos. All 6-Men looked fantastic. One of my favourite Dynamite Matches of the year. Then the final segment. This was one of the best Pro Wrestling segments of all time. Swerve arrived for the contract signing. Hangman's music hit, but he was nowhere to be seen. The reveal happened and Hangman destroyed the one thing Swerve has shown vulnerability over, his childhood house he purchased earlier this week. Hangman cut an epic promo and Swerve sold it in the ring like his heart broke into a million pieces. This show would've got a ten, just because of this segment, but it included some other great angles, promos and matches. One of my favourite Dynamite's of they year."
[9.0] "AEW man, what can I say? From the disappointing Forbidden Door to the best PPV wrestling has produced this year in All In, AEW has almost entirely reaffirmed itself as an amazing wrestling show, week in, week out. A couple minor gripes however. A few uninteresting directions between The Conglomeration, The Learning Tree, HOOK, Strong, stuff like that, but otherwise? Masterfully executed TV all around."
[9.0] "I'll remember this as the "No home" episode of Dynamite in memory of Swerve. This will always be remembered for one of the all-time endings to a Dynamite thanks to Hangman. The fact we got this and the fantastic ending with Mariah attacking Toni just weeks apart is truly great."
[7.0] "I thought this was an okay show, a couple quite good matches, a not particularly great Mariah May match, a great Hangman promo in a silly set up, and a very middling Mone promo. Nothing outright terrible, but some stuff that didn't knock it out of the park."
[10.0] "An excellent episode capped off by one of the best endings to a pro wrestling show ever. AEW has been nailing these endings to their shows lately. MJF/Daniel Garcia kicked off the show with a really good segment. DG's looking more comfortable on the mic and their feud has now become even more personal. Okada vs. Fletcher was my match of the night. Okada made Fletcher look like a million bucks and Fletcher showed he can hang with main eventers. Hayter vs. Renegade was another fine showcase for Jamie who looks in great shape. Another criptic Moxley segment is probably the only downside of this show. Not bad but I'm not a fan of cryptic storylines but I'll let it play out and see where it leads us. May vs. Rose was a solid first title defense for Mariah. Fine promo by Mercedes and Shida afterwards, really hyped for their match. BCC & Pac vs. Conglomeration & Ospreay was a great main event, neat stuff. Pac & Ospreay are going to do magic on Saturday and I liked how the post-match served as a set-up the tag team title match. The closing segment was phenomenal with Hangman cutting a masteful promo and then setting Swerve's childhood house on fire as he drinks beer. I got chills just as I'm writing this, one of the hardest things I've ever seen. Overall: opener and main event were both great matches and the stuff in the middle was alright too. I liked how there was much more time given to women than usual with two matches and an in-ring segment. The closing angle was amazing and elevated the whole show."
[8.0] "Really great Dynamite. Stretched a little thin on the wrestling side, with only really the main event being worth watching, but this show was more about the angles and there were a few great ones here. The Garcia/MJF stuff is still surprisingly enjoyable, and this might actually be the first time in a while that I'm actually looking forward to an MJF match. Their promo segment that opened the show wasn't as good as last week's, but Garcia still brought the fire during his portion and MJF mostly held up his end too. The stuff with Mox and Marina Shafir is pretty cryptic and it's hard to tell what their end goal is but I found Mox's promo to still be pretty interesting regardless and I'm still curious to see where this thing between him and Darby goes. Then there's the main event segment which was an absolute homerun. With this segment, Hangman v Swerve cemented itself as one of the greatest rivalries in AEW history. It starts off relatively normally with Swerve making his entrance and waiting for Hangman to come out so that they can sign their contract. Despite his music playing however, Hangman doesn't come out. Instead, he appears on the tron, and it's revealed that he's inside Swerve's childhood home which we know Swerve just bought thanks to a video package earlier in the show. Hangman's intentions are unclear, but we soon see a flash of red and the sounds of a sloshing liquid. From there we piece together what's happening. From there, Hangman takes a seat outside of Swerve's house, says some final words about how he's going to ruin Swerve's career/life, pulls put a match and ignites the gasoline trail that leads into Swerve's house, setting it ablaze. Fucking all timer segment. Both Hangman and Swerve put in excellent performances here, and now I'm somehow even more excited for their match on Saturday than I was before. One of the best endings to a wrestling TV that I've ever seen. MOTN - Castagnoli, PAC & Yuta vs O'Reilly, Cassidy & Ospreay"
[9.0] "What a great Go Home Dynamite episode. We got 2 really good matches and one of the best endings in Dynamite History. MJF and Danny had also a good promo segement, Moné & Shida was fine as well and Mox' new direction is very interesting. The Okada vs. Takeshita teaser was cool."
[5.0] "The main event segment was the highest memorable moment of the show with some enjoyable wrestling. Not a show that made me anticipate much on All Out beyond Page/Swerve. Continuing to do All Out so soon after All In continues to be a bit of a strange choice that I dont really get. A pretty boring show that had its moments."
[6.0] "The only thing I found memorable from this show was the closing angle. The main event and Fletcher/Okada underdelivered for my liking (but were still pretty good) and the Women's World Title match put me to sleep. The MJF/Garcia segment also went far too long before getting to the juice of it"
[10.0] "Fantastic episode. One of the all time great endings to a Dynamite and also full of great build up to All Out. Two great matches, one to open the show and the main event. What more could you possibly ask from a episodic weekly wrestling show?"
[6.0] "An interesting format for Dynamite, given it prioritised having two bangers, then some big build segments for All Out. Although it was enjoyable, a good chunk of stuff was skippable. Garcia/MJF added litte; I like Moxley's direction but it's a slow burn; Mercedes did some stuff; Mariah's match wasn't worth watching. I really don't like the possibility of Okada vs Takeshita being in a four-way match. The closing angle was all for a visual, but it was a mighty fine one. Claudio was performer of the night, more than earning his title shot."
[8.0] "A very good go-home Dynamite for All Out, topped by an angle where Swerve Strickland bought his childhood home, Hangman Page found out where it was, and then committed grand arson on live TV. Okada vs. Fletcher and the trios match were great, and we had good promos involving Garcia and MJF, and the latest of whatever Jon Moxley and Marina Shafir are doing."
