[7.0] "The wrestling was a little lacking on this episode, but the segments kept things good. The opener between Orange Cassidy and Tomohiro Ishii and TMDK was a decent television match. Stephanie Vaquer and Lady Frost had a good match that made me want to see more of both women. There were a pair of squashes and Serena Deeb beat Kelly Madan followed by Hechicero beating Kevin Blackwood. Daniel Garcia and the Butcher had a surprisingly good match. Hikaru Shida and Deonna Purrazzo had a great match in the Owen Hart Tournament. Finally, we had the match of the night between El Phantasmo, Jack Perry, and Konosuke Takeshita and Dante Martin, Lio Rush, and Mark Briscoe."
[5.0] "I thought this was a pretty average episode of Collision. Solid matches across the board, but nothing jumped out to me as great and the build for Forbidden Door leaves a lot to be desired, as seemingly happens every year. I've got no doubt the PPV will be good though. [MOTN: Deonna Purrazzo vs. Hikaru Shida]"
[5.0] "Great seeing Jack Perry back. Love watching Lady Frost and the Butcher perform, but otherwise a very mediocre episode. As always shoving an Orange Cassidy win on us, and would have liked to see Deeb's match last longer. How does Shida (former Women's Champion) go over on Deonna, but not Thunder Rosa?"
[5.0] "Yet another episode of Collision that was wholly uneventful and full of jobber squashes and boring tournament matches. This did little to progress things into forbidden door being it was the go home and all that. Average show that was a chore to get through."
[7.0] "Good episode of Collision. While a lot of the matches were predictable the last two matches were unpredictable and good. Think the MOTN would have to be the best match on the show, but all the non-squash matches were good except for Garcia vs Butcher which wasn't bad but just kind of there."
[5.0] "This must have been the most middle of the road show I have seen in a long time. Solid matches, solid segments, solid promos and interviews. Not really upset because the final show before the big PPV is - when it comes to match quality - mostly not the best because the wrestlers want to save some and don't want to get injured before the big event. Even though the card itself looked promising."
[6.0] "Solid Collision, some very good segments here, the quality of the matches weren't at its peak, and below average if we talk about AEW, but they've crafted and built a lot of storylines here, I loved the main event, the weigh-in between Ospreay and Swerve, made me much more hyped about the match and the PPV, excellent television."
[9.0] "Saturday Night Sickos is back. It's a go-home, so nothing too spectacular like FTR or BCC blowing the roof off, but this is a level of consistently that people dream of, with not a stinker of a match or a segment on the card. Hell, even the Learning Tree segments seem to have found the happy medium."
[5.0] "In terms of match quality it wasn't that good of an episode but a few good moments in settings up the forbidden door pay per view such as the ending to the main event six man tag team match and the mercedes mone and vaquer moment but a very average episode overall"
[5.0] "This episode definitely could have done a little more to build for the PPV but overall I thought the matches and segments were okay. What let it down, without having any blow-away matches, is the audience which has made AEW's entire week feel flatter than it should have. I'm looking forward to Forbidden Door and think there's some decent build behind some of the matches but this crowd has me worried. At first it seemed like they just didn't know the non-AEW wrestlers, which I think is still true, but they barely reacted for AEW stars as well. I went below '6' because the combination of average but not bad matches and a dead crowd made the show feel a bit exhausting. One thing I do like is how uncertain Ospreay vs Swerve feels. Wembley is coming, Don wants to get involved, Hangman has a teased return which also referred to his feud with Swerve, and Ospreay is alreay promising title shots for a belt he doesn't have. My guess is that Swerve wins, faces Hangman at Wembley, and Ospreay splits from Don, but I like the fact I'm not so sure."
[8.0] "A very good episode of Collision after a few underwhelming weeks. The importance of a well booked women's division that gets a good amount of TV time weekly cannot be understated in order to make AEW shows feel more refreshing and must-see. 2 of the 3 women's ranged from good to very good and the other one spawned a new storyline through a return. More of this please."
[8.0] "A decent episode of Collision, some good matches and segments including Will Ospreay/Swerve Strickland weigh in segment which was decent to watch. Orange Cassidy & Tomohiro Ishii vs Robbie Eagles & Shane Haste: A fun solid back and forth tag team match, with OC picking up a decent win just before Forbidden Door ppv, TMDK put up a decent performance [***1/2]. Stephanie Vaquer vs Lady Frost: Frost put up a decent fight with some offense in which was good to see, Vaquer winning was not surprising [**3/4]. Serena Deeb vs Kelly Madan: A basic squash match [DUD]. Hechicero vs Kevin Blackwood: Another basic squash match [DUD]. Daniel Garcia vs The Butcher: On paper this may have looked like it could have been a squash match, but it was a decent match, cool atmosphere for the two due to being in their hometown [**3/4]. Hikaru Shida vs Deonna Purrazzo: A great return win for Shida, Purrazzo put up a decent fight, classic match for the Owen Hart Foundation tournament [***1/4]. El Phantasmo, Jack Perry & Konosuke Takeshita vs Dante Martin, Lio Rush & Mark Briscoe: An okay trios match, all involved apart from Perry did their parts well, Perry did very little [***]"
[8.0] "Wasnt too bad, especially if you are a sicko. The wrestling this episode was top notch but literally 24 hours away from Forbidden Door, its to be expected. We have some of the best wrestlers from all over the world across multiple companies. But Im glad FD season is almost over, because I enjoy the storylines within AEW. For the most part this episode did heighten my excitement for Forbidden Door."
[7.0] "To be completely fair, this week's go-home editions of both Dynamite and Collision leaves you still with a lot to desire but it manages to give you enough to root for. In an effort to build up Beach Break edition of Dynamite along with Owen Hart foundation tournament they kinda steal the spotlight from Forbidden Door. Garcia's Buffalo home run continues as he squares off with yet another Buffalo native The Butcher. Certainly a fine match for what it was worth but as it was heavily criticized recently, I do not think Garcia is ready for Ospreay/MJF either. AEW's booking of Garcia is baffingly horrid as he went down from beating Danielson to having regular squash matches or wins against the undercard (though this issue is not certainly exclusive to him given the recent booking of Takeshita as well). OC & Ishii vs. TMDK was a decent opener followed by a good backstage confontration between OC and ZSJ. Another spotlight(s) of the show were the two women matches which is still a rare sight. Hell, actually make it three as Deeb had a squash in which we had another Riho return which is something I can't bring myself to care about. As ever, Riho would reappear out of the blue after disappearing quite randomly. And people do adore her. Well, so be it but ask yourself what she did in the past year other than taking up Ls. Nothing! Hechicero like Vaquer had a showcase match ahead of his Forbidden Door match but Kevin Blackwood arguably got more pop than Hechicero. Dunno what to say to that. The main event was a really good bout between all the participants of the upcoming TNT Title ladder match. It really did more than any of the other random pairings in the recent weeks. Jericho segments were once again insufferable. I thought he was going against Suzuki? If that was not the case why Suzuki wanted to face him off in a promo package that certainly looked like a tease? Either way, what the fuck Cobb has to do with Jericho? What a waste of spot. Forbidden Door (including Zero Hour) once again has a fat card including matches that are glued up randomly to fit on the card, having Dynamite level matches (including Saraya and Mariah for that matter). Swerve-Ospreay faceoff was cool with a surpsing Hidden Blade to it but I don't see the point of having a weight in going into the match since, well, AEW never really does it. This 'random bullshit go' mentality of AEW's is really killing both me and the actual product. Oh, it's also cool of them to reveal the wild card Hangman lmao."
[6.0] "A solid episode of Collision: OC & Ishii vs. TMDK was a good opener. Vaquer vs. Frost was another good match. It probably did more for Frost than Vaquer. Serena Deeb had a fine squash match and then called out anyone in the women's division. A returning Riho came out and I can't wait to see these two clash. DG vs. The Butcher was fine but DG shouldn't have suffered so much before his match with Ospreay. I'd like to mention a couple of fire backstage promos from Jay White and Toni Storm, great stuff from both. Shida vs. Deonna was another good match. I'm glad Shida is back and I'm happy they're continuining the feud between Rosa and Deonna. The main event was the best match of the night, really good match. The final segment between Swerve and Ospreay was really good, I'm hyped for this match. Ospreay's hidden blade was vicious. Overall: really solid show under every aspect. All the matches delivered and there were some really good moments like the return of Riho. More like a 6.5 rather than a 6."
