On top of that, I am here for the dream match, Chris Hero vs Higuchi, not a goofy DDT tag match. I mean, it's sure good but damn it could of been so much more special. Angelico-Arez was the MOTN by far, a great mat work masterpiece, and there were some good actions. I think the main takeaway was seeing some talents that i've never see, like Viajero (someone please make this dude a cagematch page), the entire 3way lucha, Jason Kincaid, and so on. The low point was the Gumbo Rumbo, it was for a good cause but damn if it was only half as long. I will be anticipating volume 2."
[6.0] "A solid but weird show. There were travel issues that caused a number of changes but the structure of the show felt a bit scattered. The Bendito triple threat and Arez/Angelico ended up being my two favorites of the night with the opener and main event also being enjoyable. The battle royal had a lot of talent but dragged at points while I also wasnt crazy about the booking involving both of Heros matches on the show. I liked this show on paper but felt like it missed the mark in some ways despite some enjoyable and good matches on the show."
[3.0] "This was an extremely cluttered card with little substance, whose purpose was to do nothing but stroke the ego of the booker and show off how many "indy darling" friends he has. The booker inserted himself into two matches, worked those matches in a style I could only describe as "nothing to write home about", and didn't put anyone over. One of those two matches was the only standard singles match of the show, with the rest of the card being a collection of uninspired multi-person clusterf***s. And to top it all off, out of a whopping nine matches, only one match included women. Am I cynical? Yes. I'll readily admit that. But as a wrestling fan of multiple decades, and as somebody who's been in and around this business for a long time, I expect better, and you should too."
[8.0] "Watching this live I, like much of the crowd, got tired - the show was an hour too long. But the more I reflect on things the more I appreciate its insanity. A guy with some money bankrolls Chris Hero to do whatever he wants and we get a Llaveo match, Mexican freelancers, Mecha Mummy, Chikara retirees, and Jason Kincaid in a main event. This wasn't ~the best~ show as a production, but it was ~the most~ ridiculous. If Hero gets to book this series a couple more times we may be looking back on this like the first Spring Break event."
