[4.0] "Dreadful, the worst major show NJPW has run since at least 2016. The fact that every big match featured someone from Bullet Club is not a coincidence (Ishimori innocent, but that gimmick match was never going to work)."

[4.0] "The worst NJPW 'big' show I've seen since I started following in 2018. An embarrassingly poor KOPW match along with a tonne of uninspired, 'Road To' level effort matches made for a truly tedious watch. The New Beginning show in Nagoya last year was almost as terrible. 4/10"

[4.0] "If this is how NJPW will be in 2024 count me out. One of the dullest shows I've ever seen them do. The KOPW title needs to be retired if it gives us matches like this. The only solid story right now is United Empire vs War Dogs."

[1.0] "Katsuya Murashima vs Shoma Kato: An average young lions match that ended in a time limit draw, which for young lions is not unusual [**]. Ren Narita & Yujiro Takahashi vs Shota Umino & Tomoaki Honma: I did not like this match, Shota Umino and Tomoaki Honma tried to make this match watchable but it did not work [DUD]. Alex Coughlin, Clark Connors, David Finlay, Drilla Moloney & Gabe Kidd vs Callum Newman, Francesco Akira, HENARE, Jeff Cobb & TJP: A decent 5 on 5 match as the feud is building up nicely, with solid action from bell to bell but could have been better though [**3/4]. SHO & Yoshinobu Kanemaru vs El Desperado & Master Wato: Not a bad preview for El Desperado vs Yoshinobu Kanemaru, but it wasn't purticularly good either, could have missed this one out to be honest [*]. Kosei Fujita, Mikey Nicholls, Shane Haste & Zack Sabre Jr vs Hiroshi Tanahashi, Kazuchika Okada, Togi Makabe & Tomohiro Ishii: Average eight man tag team match, ZSJ getting the win by submitting veteran Togi Makabe was good to see on ZSJ's road to facing Bryan Danielson next month [**3/4]. DOUKI, SANADA, Taichi, TAKA Michinoku & Yuya Uemura vs BUSHI, Hiromu Takahashi, Shingo Takagi, Tetsuya Naito & Yota Tsuji: This was an average multi man match with a preview of a few upcoming matches later in the tour, the action was just below solid [**]. Great O-Khan vs Taiji Ishimori: This match was goofy to say the least, with the unique stipulation, I did not get the stipulation and the ending was confusing when GOK collapsed on top of the title belt and won it, i mean seriously [DUD]. El Phantasmo & Hikuleo vs Chase Owens & KENTA: Been ELP's and Hikuleo's weakest title defense, did not get that invested into it to be honest, KENTA looked like he did not care and Chase Owens is not ideally for long matches, it went on about 10 minutes longer than it should have, and the quality of the action was not there to be honest [*]. EVIL vs Tama Tonga: This was not a match, it was only 2 minutes long, HOT got involved which led to Shota Umino and a few others coming out and ended in a brawl which caused a no contest [DUD]. EVIL vs Tama Tonga [2]: Did not like this match either, mainly due to HOT's antics which led to EVIL winning the title, should have had a different match for the final singles match in NJPW for Tama Tonga, 14 years he has given to NJPW and this is how they fucking book him to go out with someone like EVIL [DUD]"

[5.0] "Overall this felt like a below average New Beginning Show. Granted i'm not the biggest fan of House of Torture or Chase Owens so that probably doesn't help. the UE vs Bullet Club match was match of the night for me. For the feature matches, O-Khan vs Ishimori was a unique challenge, and the commentary team being confused at how the match works and the finish made me enjoy it more lol. GoD vs Bullet Club wasn't that good. ELP isn't good enough to carry 3 others to a good 20 minute match. and Tama's final match was oddly fitting considering how much interference his matches use to have when he was in Bullet Club."

[6.0] "Your enjoyment of this show is going to be proportional to your tolerance of House of Torture shenanigans. Nothing in this show was bad, but there was a lot of mediocre, particularly the two main events. Bolstered by some good multi-man tag action and Tama Tonga's emotional farewell."

[6.0] "An overall decent show to start the whole new beginning tour. The undercard was as good as New Japan used us and despite the last three matches are really divisive I actually liked 2 out of three of them. Also they built a lot for next matches. **3/4"

[3.0] "At first, I was thinking if I should watch the Nagoya show or not. Judging by the card, seems that it would not be a good event to remember. Anyway, I just gave it a watch and it was disappointing as of speak. What are the Nagoya fans doing to deserve this event. Although it's a regular event, at least not make it bad. Well, still here are my ratings: Umino/Honma vs Narita/Yujiro, underwhelming, (*1/2), United Empire vs Wardogs 10-man tag, alright match, (**3/4), SHO/Kanemaru vs Despy/Master Wato, underwhelming, (*3/4), Okada/Tanahashi/Ishii/Makabe vs TMDK, alright match, (**3/4), LIJ vs Just 5 Guys 10-man tag, decent match, (***), Ishimori vs O-Khan, my review on the matchguide, (*), Hikuleo/ELP vs KENTA/Owens, my review on the matchguide, (***) and Tama vs EVIL, my review on the matchguide, (**). No MOTN on this event as I think they don't deserve to have the MOTN. Only good points on this event are Okada returning to ring after the match to bid farewell to the Nagoya crowd and Tama Tonga's farewell speech. The rest are forgettable."
