[8.0] "My first time watching the 16 carat gold tournament, and it was pretty decent. 1 Called Manders vs Luke Jacobs: A good match to get the tournament started, with two guys who know how to put on a good showing, physical as expected from these two [***1/2]. Aigle Blanc vs Lio Rush: A good follow up from the opener, Rush and Blanc complemented each other in the ring [***1/4]. Stephanie Maze vs Icarus: While it was tough to follow the first two matches, it was a somewhat decent match, I did enjoy it but not as much as the first two matches [**1/2]. Laurance Roman vs Oskar: Despite still being a bit green in the ring, Oskar was okay against Roman, Roman proved that he had that bit extra to win [**]. Mike D Vecchio vs Gringo Loco: A great match that had quite a few crazy moments for example when Vecchio went for the top rope rana and Loco countered into a mid air powerbomb, recommend watching [****1/4]. Levaniel vs The Rotation vs Maggot: A decent three way match, the title change was decent [**3/4]. Masato Tanaka vs Elijah Blum: Tanaka showed that he can still go in the ring, Blum looked decently okay against a legend like Tanaka [***1/4]. Peter Tihanyi vs El Hijo del Dr. Wagner Jr: A match that was evenly contested, both went for it, the outcome made it deflated a bit [***3/4]. Michael Oku vs Joseph Fenech Jr: A match worthy of being the main event, the action from bell to bell was great to watch, Oku submitting Fenech Jr was the right decision [****3/4]"
[8.0] "A really fun event and an amazing live experience. The arena was packed and loud, the matches were on a great level. My personal MOTN is a draw between Peter Tihanyi vs El Hijo Del Dr. Wagner Junior and 1 Called Manders vs Luke Jacobs. Two very different matches but both had me hooked in from the beginning to the end and both have moments that I still think of even after a couple of days after watching it live. The only match that I thought was average and stood out in a negative light was the triple threat for a shotgun title. Nothing special there and a couple of weird looking spots that took me out of the experience. Other than that a very fun and a good show and with a rating of 8 I can totally recommend watching this one in full."
[7.0] "The Jacobs/Manders and Oku/Fenech matches were the high points of the show, but overall a solid night of action to kick off the tournament, and set up what is always an exciting weekend of action"
