[7.0] "Good opening match, great main event, good Riddle promo and a fantastic Lesnar return. The only truly bad thing was Shanky being on TV. This fucker is unbearable. Besides that, I can't really understand the hate for this episode. Do people hate Lesnar that much?"
[7.0] "Not that bad of a show, Brock Lesnar returning to face Brock Lesnar is something I don't want to see but it will be a fun rivalry. The match of the night was Reigns vs. Riddle and the other matches were alright. I am a fan of Dancing Shanky because it is goofy."
[3.0] "The show of one match and of course the hot Riddle will not get its triumph, but we will see the confrontation of the Tribal Leader and Brock Lesnar for the 100th time, this is the laziest way to earn money and gather fans, I am against such pragmatism. Why did Vince come out? Just an empty appearance! Otherwise, an empty show like a Vince promo and a lazy script for the sake of stretching the timing. Matthew Fredrick Riddle deserves all the respect!"
"This show has such a low rating here, yet received such high viewership. The viewership actually increased even in the second hour. It really shows the disconnect between critics here and the fans that watch the product. This was the show that the fans wanted, despite what the rating here is."
[2.0] "This show was carried by a pretty good main event, otherwise it was pretty bleh. Moss and Corbin had another match, Vince tried to use his scandal to pop a rating and the Brock/Roman feud continues. I remember being bored of the Roman/Brock feud in 2018 when I went to Wrestlemania, 4 years later and it's still the same old feud."
[8.0] "A lot of people are hating on this show for the repeat booking of Roman and Brock but the episode as a whole was entertaining and had tons of story development which was nice it? s the first time sd been relevant in a few weeks."
[4.0] "Reigns vs Riddle was really good. Without its first and its last segment, this show should have deserved a 5 or 6. Brock's return is not a bad idea, but... it's a very bad idea to put him against Reigns again and again... it spoils the main event of Summerslam... now, I don't want to watch this show..."
[7.0] "It's kinda lame that people are downvoting this episode just for 2 things, and ignore the rest of the show, that was decent and had a great main event"
"I'd say WWE had two goals here: "write off" the Vince character for the moment time being and distract the audience, both at home and on TV as best as possible. That was done with a Roman appearance and a match and a Brock return. Lol, lmao. I, personally, would NOT have Vince McMahon on television, but WWE is trying to pop a rating. Folks we have our most disgusting promotional tactic of the year. Controversy creates cash or whatever. Enjoy the projects."
"[8.5] smackdown was decent though the middle part of the show was bad the opening and the main event made me to give this show a solid 8.5 and the return i hope they does something new with storyline I'm tired of the same rematches it sickens me."
[7.0] "Not a bad show by any means. It was definitely a one-match show with it all being built around the main event, and the other matches were either squashes to just a good match. Segments were alright, and I think the main event was a great match with a nice return at the end with Lesnar returning. Ive got to take away because of three eh matches and then the Vince McMahon appearance just being a forgettable bait."
[10.0] "I give 10. The beginning with Vince is absolutely brilliant. It showed us for the umpteenth time that he is the King of Wrestling and everything else must stay off the screens. Brock Lesnar? Surprise. Plan B but of absolute quality. I love Lesnar. For these two things alone the grade is 10. The rest was good. The main event was a great match."
[2.0] "A SmackDown show that has been heavy for me, mainly because of the amount of advertising and the little content shown beyond silly rivalries, plus that meh start of Vince, where it is not clear if it is real or lie what happened, then with some pretty forgettable fights until the ME, and above, for the twenty-third time, Reigns vs. Lesnar. It's a joke and the fan who defends it even more."
[3.0] "A good world title match unfortunately leaves us with a part-time double champion squaring off once again with a a part-time challenger, a bunch of useless crap, and Vince Fucking McMahon using his own controversy once again for a cheap ratings pop while saying absolutely nothing. Fuck the Fed."
"I won't be or surprised or even mad if that McMahon promo wins awards for Most Disgusting Promotional Tactic at the end of the year. Just squalid given the circumstances of what brought him out. He should've quietly drifted into the shadows when it was announced that Stephanie was stepping in during the interim. Cheap and the braying Minneapolis crowd was sad to see, all the tropes about wrestling fans on full display."
[2.0] "Rating this so low due to the disgusting promotion tactic by Vince, using his own scandal to pop the rating. He was out there for about a minute before leaving. The rest of the show was your typical wwe show, wrestling is fine, everything else is awful, usual boring show."
"I thought about rating this a 0 purely because of the awful ratings ploy to put Vince McMahon out in front of the crowd right as he's facing an investigation of paying off a former employee he had an affair with, but I felt that unfair given how good Roman Reigns vs. Riddle was... so I won't be rating the show in general this week."
[2.0] "Genuinely asinine how bad this show is. Very good main event. That? s the only reason this isn? t a 0. They did great. Vince coming out and saying 20 words, is almost worse than him saying nothing. Completely pointless. Nothing match between corbin and moss. Lifeless. Corbin Vs mcafee feud started which sounds fairly lame. Comedy match with the new day was whatever, they? re too talented to be fighting jinder mahal and shanky, but the tag division is dead either way. Raquel Shayna was bad. Raquel is not good at all, and it was too short to mean anything. Drew and Sheamus segment didn? t make much sense. They both lose so they both qualify? The la knight max dupri thing was awful. Natalyas promo was also horrendous. Just so many bad things. Watch the main event and then just save yourself by skipping the rest."
[7.0] "For better or worst, will go down in history as one of the most memorable editions in the history of SD. Elephant in the room aside, good show. ME was awesome and Brock's return legit took me by surprise."
"The show was overall pretty mid, but the main event carried really hard. underwhelmed by mcmahon? s promo and was kind of disappointed with the return of lesnar to face roman, but given the circumstances of orton and rhodes both being injured, roman v lesnar at summerslam is reasonable and i just hope it? s better than their WM match (maybe another MITB cash in)"
[6.0] "This episode was carried HARD by the fantastic main event. Tons of unnecessary recaps, video packages, and hardly any wrestling. Vince's promo was a cheap ratings ploy. Riddle promo was fine but the video package shown mid way through took me out of it. Madcap and Corbin had an unremarkable match that was inferior to their Hell in a Cell PPV match in every way. Corbin and McAfee feuding is cool though. New Day VS Jinder and Shanky was more of an angle, though I must say I am entertained by Shanky's antics. Sheamus/McIntyre segment was just to confirm the obvious. Raquel VS Shayna is what you would expect from a women's match on SmackDown. Shayna has fallen off a cliff in terms of booking. Max Dupri promo was fine but I was looking forward to his model reveal. The main event was excellent. Not a fan of Brock returning, though I KIND of understand why they did it with Randy being out. Sucks though. I was really excited for Roman/Randy. At least it's a stipulation match this time. Main event was good, everything else... not so much."
[3.0] "Despite two memorable moments and a couple of decent matches, this isn't an episode of Smackdown that can be recommended due to the ridiculous amount of replays and promos for upcoming events, and the lack of actual wrestling. 4 matches, two of them squashes and one other pretty short, is not enough on a 2 hour show."
