[7.0] "A fun show to kick off the DPW catalogue. The opener and the battle royal were poor, but everything else was good and Colby/Gringo Loco and Tankman/Christian were outstanding. Excited to keep watching through the DPW catalogue."
[8.0] "For a first pay-per-view, DEADLOCK delivered. The undercard was sweet and cool (even though I skipped the Battle Royal, sorry, not sorry). The hardcore fight between Corino and Loco lived up to all its promises, while Christian vs. Tankman and Mizunami vs. Yuu were pretty intense and brutal. The main-event between Everett and Bojack was fucking cool. Big man vs. high-flying wizard, but not only just that. Emotions were high that evening."
[8.0] "A very good showing from a first event for DPW here. This is a show I would say would be good to give DPW a shot with. The first DPW World Champion is crowned in Bojack in what is a very good main event. I really like the cliffhanger ending to this where Chris Danger passes a defeated Andrew Everett his gear. My least favourite match of the night was the DPW Battle Royal which Sawyer Wreck rightfully won. My favourite matches were the Hardcore match and Calvin Tankman vs Blake Christian. My MVP for this show was Bojack and on the other side of things I continue to not be overly impressed by Kat Spencer. This first event was a very fun affair; can't wait to watch more DPW."
[8.0] "For there first event this was very good although they improved a lot since. The first 4 matches were either fine or fun but you probably could've lost at least one of them. The last 4 were great though. The Inaugural DPW World's Championship was of course the standout. The women's match and Calvin Tankman vs Blake Christian were dope. And a solid first hardcore match for DPW with Gringo vs Colby Corino was good. DPW Forever definitely nailed it with cutting the fat this show had still forgivable for a first show though."
[5.0] "Wrestling-wise this show mostly delivered, but other areas sorely lacked. [1st match] This match... I really did not like. Flashy moves galore, with the opponent about to receive the move/spot rooted to the spot every time, just looked so hokey. Crowd was completely flat during the match also **1/2 [2nd match] This match really should have opened the show, as this got the crowd going and was great. ***1/2 [3rd match] Really great hard-hitting women's match with a great finishing sequence. ***1/2 [4th match] A match to debut new stars and hopefully iron out the camera work - which was all over the place. This Battle Royale was way weaker than the previous one that DPW did. ** [5th match] Made the best of the situation with an amazing lucha hardcore match. The theme very much was doors... and breaking them. The giant-ass weapon tease was well done too. MOTN for me **** [6th match] Enjoyable David Vs Goliath match. *** [7th match] Powerful ladies match: 70% chops 30% other stuff. Not really my type of match. *** [Main] Definitely the sort of match you hope for to crown your first world champion. Everett was underdog but got plenty of damaging moves in, including that awesome top rope Chokeslam. ***1/2 No frills in terms of video packages, and only one backstage segment make it look a little bush league. Die hards will of course watch and love it, but I think they need to step up their game to gain more eyes on their product."
[6.0] "There was nothing noteworthy about this show aside from Kidd Bandit being irritating. Most of the matches were decent, the last couple of matches flirted with being good but didn't quite get there."
[6.0] "Overall this was fun event but i can't rate it as high as others have. Blake v Tankman was MOTN for myself. Last 4 matches were great and the first 5 were very hit and miss. The three was very good too"
[9.0] "For a brand new indie put together by fans that have a podcast, this is a ridiculously quality first PPV. Ho Ho & Kidd Bandit have a very nice fast-paced opener but my main takeaway was the People's Elbow with the Naruto run as the finish. The 3-Way was also fun and showed off three quality local talents. KZT/Rose was a good shooter vs character dynamic, KZT is very good. Battle Royale wasn't all that special but also not bad, you had Calibus being a madman at least. Corino/Loco was a pretty wild hardcore match for being impromptu, with some pretty nasty spots. Tankman vs Christian was definitely trying too hard to be "epic" and was honestly one of the weakest matches on the show (Tankman is still awesome though). Joshi match was cool as fuck, hossfight as fuck, really loved it. That main event though, that's how you make a big main event with a bunch of big moves with kickouts feel special and earned, even if I don't think it QUITE hit the top gear until right as it ended. Production & Commentary were also top-notch by any indie standards let alone a company this new, not to mention how there's already storylines and potential feuds set up for future episodes of Fire. DPW is a promotion to watch out for, they might just make the Mid-Atlantic territory as hot as it feels like it should've been years ago."
[9.0] "Show of the year so far for me! Everything was enjoyable and nothing overstayed it's welcome. The last 4 matches for me were ****+ in my opinion and I'm glad everyone got to show out. I'm happy for the boys for putting on such enjoyable shows!"
[9.0] "The opener was a fun sprint between Lun & Bandit with the right person coming over while the three way was crazy with a really interesting feud in the start between Ali & Ray. KZT vs Rose was solid but Rose needs to improve at the earliest to sustain here irrespective of the very good character she carries. The battle royal was a fun-filled treat for fans with new talents being introduced in Will Wolfen, BK Westbrook & Sawyer Wreck. The winner is a wise choice as another feud is ready between Wreck & Spencer. The hardcore match was supposed to be two different bouts but the COVID scare acted as a blessing in disguise as these two put on an insanely entertaining match. Christian vs Tankman ruled as both men decimated each other with great aggression and incredible chemistry. The co-main event was a pure Joshi showdown as this is my first view on Yuu who looks great in-ring. The main event was an almost perfect mirror image of a PWG styled slugfest that had the fans off their seats for the second half. Bojack was the perfect pick as DPW's 1st World Champion as a special shout-out goes to Andrew who maintained his character in a great way. I'm definitely satisfied and beyond with this pay-per-view and DPW is a promotion to be watched out for!"
[9.0] "An amazing show. every match was awesome. bandit vs ho ho was brilliant with awesome moves. 3 way was fastpaced. battle royal was fun. rose and kzt was good. Colby vs Gringo was just insanity with loads of table spots. blake vs tankman was a great story and was my motn. ryo vs yuu was just a great japanese style match and the main surpassed my expectations and had great nearfalls!"
