Heenan and Bischoff selling The Giant falling off the roof is a great moment in wrestling history. Their ability to make the show feel real and genuine is invaluable when you're dealing with this shlock."

[3.0] "Honest to god, I was crying laughing at the way this show ended with the YETAYYY dry humping Hogan after that main event. It's an absolute magnum opus of crap wrestling moments. This was a terrible PPV where the cartoonish Dungeon of Doom are at their absolute worst as it's all over the show and nothing good comes of anything they do with only Giant vs Hogan being somewhat entertaining because of how ridiculous it all got as the booking with them is like a massive train wreck I just could not turn away from. Most of the matches are boring with Lex Luger pulling what might possibly one of the worst double duty booking I've ever seen (unless you actually count the stupid monster truck match) and I have his match with Meng as the worst on the card because its so damn boring! There is at least a great match where Ric Flair turns heel on Sting against Arn Anderson and Brian Pillman to re-form the Four Horseman and the Johnny B. Badd vs DDP match was good too."

[2.0] "This was just something. Lets get the good stuff out of the way though. Mero vs DDP was a very solid midcard match with Page impressing once more with the knowledge he got from all the years managing, plus Flair & Sting vs Arn & Pillman was a good Tag Team Match with a great work and a nice swerve in the end. But that's it, the rest is horrible. The Dungeon of Doom storyline reaches its peak of awfulness, which only shows were Bischoff's mind was at, but he still will portray himself like a good booker on his podcast. The Monster Truck Match or whatever the fuck was the pinnacle of stupidy, even dumber than the King of the Road Match, but then to top it Wight gets thrown down the building, only to make a great babyface comeback in the main event, even though he was still a heel. This alone deserves the lynching, but it's not like the rest of the show wasn't horrible. Luger was a shadow of his NWA days throughout the whole night, delivering two snoozers with Meng and Savage, while the rest were just cold matches with nobodies that barely got any time. Plus you got so much of Schiavone and Heenan talking, that I couldn't get through it without skipping a lot of the stuff. Bischoff then gets on commentary and tries to put over the monster truck bullshit, while Bobby pretends to show some excitement about it, but you can see him with the face in his hands a few seconds later. This is genuinely the peak of bollocks and you can find something entertaining in this if you're watching it with friends, but my God it's a horrible PPV."

[1.0] "Such an awful ppv, if I paid full price I would be so pissed, the opener is actually decent, then it is just downhill from there. You have 3 short matches all combined for under 10 minutes, but there mustve been about 30 minutes of just talking with nothing else, then when the action resumes we get snooze fest luger vs meng, a decent tag match, and then 2 awful matches with a fucking monster truck match that was about 6 minutes of them just driving into each other and moving slightly. Did people find this fun back then? These awful story lines with unsatisfying endings and super long gaps between matches? So terrible"

[3.0] "After a decent opener we get a mix of squash matches and interminable promos, which isn't reallt appropriate for a PPV. This also has some atrocious gimmicks and spots, including the monster truck battle and the Yeti. It does have a world-class promo from Savage - "Your moustache is crooked" - that is worth seeking out just to remind yourself how wonderfully weird he was. The tag match is also worth watching, and there's a certain so bad it's good quality about the Hogan/Giant stuff, and Heenan does an incredible job selling the stuff about the Giant potentially being dead, but it's overall an awful show."

The show has a couple cool things on it that are enjoyable, but the horrible stuff actually becomes entertaining when put in perspective of the time period and Halloween subject matter. If this show happened a month earlier or later, I would literally never dare to watch it, but this show is perfect viewing in October. There are way too many memes on this show to not have a good time watching it."

[3.0] "In wrestling value this is WCW's version of WrestleMania XI. Howewer this show has one positive thing. Sometimes it's redicilous but at least it's not boring. DDP vs B. Badd is pretty good. Sabu vs J. L. is nice for its length too. Flair and Sting vs Anderson and Pillman is a great match with good awesome story and and very surprising ending. Other matches are not good at best. Sumo monster truck contest is terrible. Montage is awful and unrealistic as well as Giant falling of the top of the building. Main event is not as bad as it could be but it is still boring. Ending is one of the wildest and most overbooked things in wrestling I ever saw. Giant and THE YEEEEETI double bearhugging Hogan is so funny."

[4.0] "Just like Fall Brawl the good is good and the bad is just too damn entertaining for me to truly hate it. The Sting and Ric Flair storyline was great and so was the match. Let's just forget that Big Show fell of the roof of an arena and survived because WCW certainly forgot it. Match of the Night: Sting & Ric Flair vs. Arn Anderson & Brian Pillman (***)"

[4.0] "The Wrestling quality is almost terrible, but it has many surprises and it puts an end to the long World Title reign of Hulk Hogan. Ric Flair and Sting vs Arn Anderson and Brian Pillman is the best match, and Johnny B. Badd vs DDP is enjoyable too. The rest is bad, it's not horrible, it has many flaws. This is not a transitory event, it's relevant and changes many things in WCW."

The opener is actually decent but all the promos, the Yeteh (no clue how that's spelled), , The Giant falling off a building and walking back to the ring, and even them hyping the monster truck match like it's actually serious. It's like a terrible old horror flick"

However, it's very much overwhelmed by some really bad stuff. The pointless Zodiac match, the stupid and incredibly long monster truck segment, Giant "falling off the roof", the terrible, terrible, terrible main event, and all the stupidity that followed it... watch certain matches, by all means, but only watch the whole thing if you want to laugh at how bad some of this stuff is."
DanTalksRasslin wrote on 15.05.2016:
[3.0] "I suppose it makes some sense that the Dungeon of Doom silliness would be all over a Halloween event, but that doesn't translate to a very good show. The main event was an overbooked and borderline nonsensical mess (the title changing hands on a DQ, after the ring announcer specifically says that it can't? ), and was prefaced by the overlong "monster truck sumo" match and Giant coming back from literally falling off a building with no explanation. There were a few highlights - Badd vs. DDP was a decent match (though their rematch at World War 3 was better), Flair/Sting vs. AA/Pillman was fine for what was intended from it, and Flair's double-cross was well-executed, and while his match was too rushed to amount to much, it was neat seeing Sabu on a WCW PPV (for the first and only time) in 1995. Overall, generally poor booking and way too much of the Dungeon of Doom dragged it down. But at least we got to see THE YET-AY!"

That was fun, but probably not a match I'd necessarily recommend. Still, that can't save this event. It is so, so bad. Especially everything to do with The Giant and Hulk Hogan -- it's almost but not quite so bad it's good. Embarrassing stuff."
