[10.0] "In one humble opinion, the greatest rivalry in professional wrestling history. As opponents and partners, Kenta Kobashi and Mitsuharu Misawa set an impossible standard to meet. Iconic matches and moments in all forms of competition and across multiple companies. An Okada-Omega level rivalry in the ring with Rock-Hogan level crowds to support their unrivaled story evolution."

[10.0] "Whenever I got back into wrestling I saw a bunch of people talking about their 2003 match and I put off watching it for a while until one day I decided I was gonna watch it. Then I found cagematch and decided I was going to watch every match they had in order and man did it not disappoint. The chemistry these 2 had together was genuinely on another level. Some of the best matches and best consistency Ive seen between 2 wrestlers which produced some absolutely incredible moments."

[10.0] "This is a generational rivalry. Every single time these two stepped in the ring, you knew you were in for an all time classic. The stories these two were able to tell and the lengths they would go against each other were incredible. The two were able to have the perfect final match in NOAH in 2003. They are the Austin/Rock of Japan in my opinion."

[10.0] "This was one of the greatest rivalry of all time. A timeless classic feud and one of the most memorable and outstanding feuds of all time. They stood at the top of AJPW and NOAH, Alongside Kawada, these two were unparalleled, the best in the world at the time. They produced classic matches, but it wasn't just the in ring chemistry between them, it was the story they told over a decade that captivated the fans and the critics. Their climatic match at NoAH in 2003 remains one of the greatest conclusion to an epic rivalry. Only Okada/Tana can be compared to this rivalry."

"I thoroughly believe the AJPW Four Pillars/King's Road 1990s Era was the greatest decade by any wrestling company ever if judging by in-ring performance. Anything with Misawa, Kobashi and/or Kawada in it was fantastic. You owe it to yourself as a wrestling fan to call some of their matches up on YouTube if you haven't seen them before. You will not regret it. I promise."

[10.0] "THE two greatest professional wrestlers of all time that that had some of the most brutal and physical wars in the history of the sport, and had a perfect storybook ending to their rivalry (the 2004 exhibition doesn't count and is more like fun filler episode)"

KKeanel wrote on 25.02.2023:
[10.0] "For me, their rivalry is the perfect set for a person who wants to get infected with wrestling. Their interpretation of puroresu is inhuman, beyond anything we've ever seen. These two have written a piece of unbelievable history."

[10.0] "An epic story told entirely in the ring. Multiple matches at a level that few competitors could only hope to achieve once. Words fail me trying to properly surmise how much I have enjoyed watching their singles matches. The climactic final match in 2003 took an already amazing feud to the next stratosphere. These two is everything I love about wrestling."

[10.0] "Incredible feud, the climax at 03 is the best example of long term booking and the best pay off in wrestling history, the most emotional win ever, some of the best matches in history happened in this feud"
Ma Stump Puller wrote on 14.09.2020:
[10.0] "I think what makes the feud between Misawa and Kobashi so great is the underlining story behind their matches: Misawa was always AJPW's #1 guy, always the superman athlete that usually always won when it mattered, always the ace. He was the top guy by far, and every time Kobashi would try to get to his level, he'd just lose over and over again. Keep in mind that Kobashi had a 60 match long losing streak that not only showed how much of a underdog he was, but how determined he was to keep going. Much like there, every time Kobashi would lose, he'd dust himself off and still be over, but he'd always be looking up at Misawa. The 2003 match is the pinnacle of that dynamic: with both of their bodies battered and broken, in the end Kobashi and his burning will ultimately overcome Misawa at long last, leading to not only one of the greatest title reigns of all time, but a fitting conclusion to one of the most enduring rivalries ever produced. Add that with spectacular matches and a almost perfect chemistry and you have what is arguably the greatest long term feud of all time."

[10.0] "This rivalry is historic; it took ajpw and noah to another level, the match they had in 2003 literally made NOAH and made all the eyes on that company, so how can a person give this an 8 and call the rivalry overrated, I don't know."
Jobbs wrote on 19.05.2016:
[10.0] "Easily my favorite rivalry of ALL-TIME. These two had what I call "perfect chemistry" and their matches were so much fun to watch as well. They just couldn't have a bad match together and in my opinion they put on the best match in AJPW history and in Pro Wrestling NOAH. Just the the perfect feud that was wasn't based on hatred but more of one trying to beat the other for the grand prize."

[8.0] "One of the most legendary rivalries in wrestling. Kobashi & Misawa sure had some really good matches against each other, the 2003 and January 1997 ones are without a doubt classics in my opinion. BUT I also think that some of their matches are a little overrated, and because of that I am giving this "just" an 8."
