Every match they had together was incredible and the build was just as good, especially when they added The Rock into the mix and added him into the Bloodline. Their match at Wrestlemania 40 was nothing short of perfect and if they were to ever do a trilogy, I only hope it's another piece of their rivalry you can say is great."

[10.0] "This is the defining rivalry of this generation. Especially for WWE fans. The fact that in 2016, when Roman was headlining Wrestlemania 32 and would then go on to embark on his journey as the face of WWE and on the same show, Cody was stardust aka a broken man who would go on to leave the company soon after and embark on his own yet VERY different journey which would then eventually lead to Cody taking that spot from Roman to become the face of WWE. Kismet type shit!"

Their promos have always hit from their classic faceoff before WrestleMania 39 and the WrestleMania 40 press conference. Roman retains at WrestleMania 39 a la Rock beating Cena at WrestleMania 28, then Cody has a "Yes Movement" backing with the "We Want Cody" movement, prompting him to have a 2 on 2 feud of the century contender with him and Rollins vs Roman and the Rock. These 2 are magic from video packages, promos, to the grandest stage of them all."

While I think there were a few missteps along the way, I understand how challenging it is to tell a long-term story in wrestling over multiple years. Despite that, its worked out beautifully, elevating the talent involved and filling arenas. With the finale likely approaching, it has the potential to raise my overall rating even higher in the future. It's been a memorable journey and a standout feud in recent years."

Cody's WM 39 loss caused a veeeery tiring stagnation in Reigns' title reign as he didn't have any credible opponents. Very enjoyable rivalry with an emotional and much appreciated outcome, but considering Reigns' schedule, he should have lost a year earlier"

[10.0] "Its hilarious after how much WWE pushed Brock as Roman's ultimate rival, and the history he has with Seth, it's Cody Rhodes of all people who ended up in that spot. If you looked at them back in 2013, you'd be laughed out of the room, but here we are. What else can you say man, these two could not be more diametrically opposed if they tried; Roman is essentially wrestling royalty, while Cody has a pretty humble background. Roman is the typical samoan powerhouse, Cody is has a more standard build. Roman thinks everyone is beneath him, while Cody's always been working from underneath. Just perfect foils. Every time they have a staredown, you feel the electricity and when you can achieve that, that's how you know the rivalry is legit. There isn't even any personal animosity (I hope), just two guys who want to be #1 and refuse to settle for anything less. When that 3rd match happens, I won't even be able to decide who I want to win. I thought Cody's loss at Wrestlemania 39 was the end of him, and it almost was, but through hell and high water, he made it back to Roman next year and got the job done. So now they're 1-1 in Singles bouts, which means the tiebreaker is all but assured to settle the score. When that match happens, needs to have no BS, no interferences, just two guys going at it to see who comes out at the top of this new Triple H era. WWE struck gold with these two as their top stars, because part of the reason the company became popular again, aside from Vince getting ousted, was this rivalry. This is the closest thing to a modern Austin/Rock this company has had and both of them are the same age, so the rivalry doesn't feel like its going to end any time soon. Really looking forward to the future of these two as competitors."

I honestly believe Roman retaining at 39 was the right choice because it got Roman to 1, 000 days as well as giving Cody more tribulations which made his crowning moment that much better. I really like what The Rock was able to add for the 2024 potion of their rivalry, I honestly believe it would have been boring without him."

[10.0] "I'm one of the few who genuinely think that Roman Reigns retaining WrestleMania 39 was a very smart move, at least with hindsight. It did lead to some at most somewhat mediocre or forgetful booking in the latter half of 2023 and in early 2024, mostly due to predictability, knowing fully well that people like Jey Uso, Logan Paul, LA Knight, AJ Styles, and Randy Orton simply weren't going to beat him (though let's be honest, for a split second we almost had it be The Rock instead which would've been fucking awful). It had to be Cody Rhodes. He had to finish his story. The chemistry between these two is top notch, and absolutely perfect for a more sports entertainment focused promotion. Despite the polarizing middle between both WrestleMania bouts, I think that victory for Cody at the end is what makes it one of the best."

[10.0] "One of my favorite rivalries of all time. As a new fan, I came back to this being the biggest rivalry in wrestling. It does hold a special place in my heart for that reason but also objectively it is the biggest reason for the renaissance of WWE."

[9.0] "The Main Event of the 40th Anniversary Wrestlemania was truly a historic moment. Cody and Roman became the ultimate hero and villain, complementing each other perfectly, and while there were a few controversial moments both in the match itself and the storyline as a whole, it was probably the best transfer of leadership to a new face worthy of it. Plus, they crossed paths back in 2013, participating in a very emotional storyline that decided the fate of Cody and Dustin, who had their father returning to mentor them, for whom it was the last big storyline in WWE. 9 points."

[8.0] "I like Roman Reigns and Cody Rhodes well enough, but I don't think they are even close to the top wrestlers in the game these days. That being said, Rhodes two-year quest to "finish his story" paid off in a big way and was a great way to end Reigns' historic championship run. And the Rock's involvement as a heel was the cherry on top..."

[7.0] "One of the better rivalries for the era, took too long to come to fruition and any continuation will ruin both mens career, but while it lasted it was fine. The WrestleMania 39 era of this feud was a good selling point but once it reached 40 it ruined the entire ple. Cody vs Seth was better rivalry that would've had a better climax and match at mania, I dotn care about what any of the little crybabies have to say about it. Rock v Roman was better, and the fact Rhea or Bayley didn't main event night 1 because of the stupid tag team match shows how pointless half of what they're doing was. The feel good moment raises a bit of love, but all the interference just takes away from the moment itself too. All in all it was good until the end."
