Glad there's an outlet for the talent but I wouldn't give this company your money. Averaging the score I'd give the product and the score I'd give the management/production here." |

Certainly but I feel there's always room for improvement. Definitely a worthy successor to ECW." |

BUT, and I wish I could make the "but" larger, BUT WWE refuses to do anything that's great. They're put on great programs, feuds, matches, on TV etc., but what do they do now? They're a corporate entity now who pays "reporters" to shill and grift for their product, have historically terrible management, push the wrong people, have insane amounts of nepotism, are out-of-touch with the fans, and the President Nick Khan has gone on record to say that a mediocre product is better than a good product because it still makes money. Ticket prices for regular TV events are high, families can't afford to go to RAW, or a low tier supercard without selling little Timmy's kidneys. The brand split hasn't had effort put into it, there are a lot of older people on the product because they can't build a star that isn't a former WWE wrestler's son or daughter, lots of problems. And to finish this off with a cherry, WWE does not respect wrestling despite running the largest wrestling promotion in the world." |

In reality, it's more annoying dorks that can't work and don't take wrestling seriously in any way. Since they can't really work they figured they would just do the usual stupidity and try to go viral as much as possible. Like when Joey Janela decided to light his own foot on fire for a superkick, but wasn't smart enough to realize the fire wouldn't just magically put itself out when the spot was over. Or that idiot Effy and all of his embarrassing non sense. One a personal note, as a member of the LGBTQ community myself, I find Effy to be completely disgusting. An embarrassing stain on our community's reputation. Will they occasionally book some guys that actually can work? Sure. That's why I'll be nice and not give them a one. But the pros are heavily outweighed by the cons. If this stupid company goes under tomorrow, wrestling will be better off. Unfortunately I think they're here to stay for the time being. After all, they have so many more broom closets and parking lots to stink up with their bastardized version of wrestling." |

That said, the promotion can feel very inconsistent. Storylines often get messy or disappear, production quality can be uneven, and the booking sometimes leans too heavily on chaos and gimmicks instead of strong match structure. The roster has talent, but it doesn't always feel utilized to its full potential. Overall AAA is historically important and entertaining in bursts, but the inconsistency keeps it from being among the top promotions today." |
| 21 | 05.03.2026 11:00 | Mark4Lyfe wrote about Pro Wrestling NOAH: [8.0] "NOAH has always been one of Japan's most respected in-ring promotions. The company built its reputation on the legacy of Mitsuharu Misawa, strong heavyweight wrestling, and a serious sports presentation. Even after difficult periods in the 2010s, the CyberAgent era has helped stabilize the promotion and bring more international attention. The biggest strengths are hard-hitting main events, a deep heavyweight style, and consistent match quality, especially around the GHC Heavyweight Championship scene. Wrestlers like Kenoh, Kaito Kiyomiya, Go Shiozaki, and Naomichi Marufuji keep the in-ring level very high. The weaknesses are smaller global reach, inconsistent booking momentum at times, and a junior division that isn't as strong as other Japanese promotions. Overall, NOAH is still one of the best pure wrestling promotions in the world, even if it isn't quite at the cultural or drawing level of New Japan Pro-Wrestling." |

The roster is incredibly talented and their big shows and tournaments like the 5? STAR Grand Prix consistently deliver great matches. The hard-hitting joshi style and faction system make the promotion really engaging. The only reason it's not a 10 is because of occasional roster turnover and some booking decisions, but overall Stardom is still one of the strongest promotions in wrestling today." |

At its best, NJPW produces some of the highest-quality in-ring wrestling in the world, with tournaments like the G1 Climax and events like Wrestle Kingdom consistently delivering elite matches and storytelling. The promotion's strong style identity, long-term booking, and emphasis on match quality have created legendary runs from wrestlers like Kazuchika Okada, Hiroshi Tanahashi, and Kenny Omega. The only reason it isn't a perfect 10 is that the product can sometimes be repetitive during long tour schedules, and the western expansion era had mixed results. But overall, NJPW remains one of the most respected and influential promotions in wrestling history." |

The one thing that plagued every iteration of this brand was poor sustained leadership. Someone would come in and give about a year of great matches and stories and then it inevitably get worse until someone else was brought in. Pre-Hogan is some of the best fucking wrestling you'll ever see. There's also plenty of goofy shit too sometimes unintentionally. The early 90's was probably the peak as far as match quality. The roster until 2000 was always stacked and launched the careers of multiple main eventers. It's a shame egos railroaded the whole thing but I'm definitely coasting on nostalgia here." |

| 27 | 03.03.2026 17:19 | [3.0] "WWE started off it's 2026 in a pretty decent way actually. We had a couple of good Raw's, great smackdowns, and a fantastic SNME to top it all off. I don't know what the hell happened but they're currently just as bad as it was in 2025 since the royal rumble happened. Raw has been drizzling shits. The only interesting things on it are CM Punk, Finn Balor, and Je'von Evans. They haven't had Liv decide who she's facing at WrestleMania because even they know they're incapable of putting on a near 3 month build whether it's Liv or Jade. Oh and apparently Stephanie can't speak English so Dominik has to translate everything to her because he totally doesn't hold the ic title or the AAA Mega title. It's bizzare because I've seen Vaquer cut a promo in English and for someone who only moved to the states in late 2024 she's pretty damn good at it. Rhea and Iyo are doing very well with the tag titles and it's one of the few bright spots in the company now, but even they aren't on raw as all their defenses happen on smackdown. When it comes to Becky and the women's ic title it's nothing new. She hasn't done a thing since SummerSlam and the AJ Lee feud has been terrible as I predicted. The iron was hot in September and they should've done the match in October or at war games. Oh, and they're still experimenting with Maxxine only now it's an unwatchable feud with Natalya who hasn't been relevant since 2017. It's unfrotunate because talented wrestlers like Bayley and Lyra are being sacrificed for it. Asuka and Kairi had a very good angle at the rumble and they just haven't followed it up at all. The tag division is non existent which pisses me off because Aj styles spent the final few months of his career rebuilding it. Dragon Lee getting a high profile feud with Gunther is good however. When it comes to smackdown things are a BIT better. Carmelo Hayes has been amazing as champion and has naturally gotten over. Trick has gotten mega over super quickly and it's great to see. Jade Cargill has been having a terrible reign. She defended against jordynne which was her first defence after 104 days. It wasn't even that special and I doubt she's defending it again til WrestleMania. Drew is champion but he still gets booked like a clown which is hard to blame. Cody and Randy would have been a far better program for WrestleMania and if they just gave Drew the title at wrestlepalooza and let him roam around with it for a couple of months they wouldn't have had to worry about giving him a "here damn" reign during WrestleMania season. The tag titles are non existent but that's been the case for months so nothing new. Kit Wilson does pretty entertaining stuff too. The only other good thing is Oba Femi because he should get pushed to the moon this year. Oh, and I didn't even bring up how bad the vision currently is because Seth and Bron's absence has exposed them to a whole new level. Nobody in that group is entertaining and the masked man stuff is about as repetitive as the amount of Raw's they've main evented since WrestleMania 41. Elimination chamber needs to be at least an 8 or a 9 or else WrestleMania is gonna be just as bad as last year. I haven't lost all hope yet but it's not looking good at all right now. Triple H did a fantastic job from the moment he took over up until the fall of 2024. The shows began to get underwhelming, but since the Royal Rumble it's been a butterfly effect of terrible and terrible desicons. Something needs to change, new writers need to be hired. Bruce Prichard, Michael Hayes, Road Dogg, and Ed Koskey are all bad and incredibly out of touch. Younger and more female writters need to be hired. If it still doesn't improve after that it may be time to question Triple H's job at head of creative. He's clearly nowhere as near in the weeds as he used to be and it's not like many of the top writers have any good ideas either. The Bloodline story is done, Cena's retirement tour is done, all these things should clearly indicate that new talent should be getting pushed but I'm not seeing that. They've done a good job with the recent call ups but I'll only praise it once I see what their WrestleMania direction is. Monday Night Raw doesn't even feel like a wrestling show. 2 1/2 hours with only 4 matches on an average basis is hilarious, especially when some of the matches aren't even getting 5 minutes. I feel like I'm seeing the same episode on repeat. They took a step in the right direction in their first show after elimination chamber, now keep doing the same thing and you'll have a good show." |

It is truly a shame to see what Cornish Pro Wrestling has become, once a thriving independent promotion that has had some huge names appear for them over the years such as Xia Brookside, Flash Morgan Webster, Lily Winter, Bram, Pete Dunne, Doug Williams & Mark Haskins to name a few. I myself had the pleasure of being the ring announcer for the last two shows that Terry and Alice Speller put on. The CPW of old was a promotion that wasn't afraid to do things completely different from the norm, under their one show as Renegade Pro Wrestling, they held the very first deathmatch held in the South West Wrestling scene, each show was must see. Nowadays though times have changed and so has the ownership, gone are the shows that were edgy and different, now it's just a Reach show in black and gold colours, no inventiveness or innovation just the same bland rinse and repeat garbage that Reach have done for the past 7 years, saying this, with the Speller's track record with this promotion, I do not give it long before they retake control of the company because sadly that is what they (The Speller's) do, they put on some great shows and just as they've got some great momentum they sell the company up, so watch this space." |

There are very few things to fault with this promotion that is less than 2 years old, but if I have to be critical, they desperately need women's matches to make their product worthy of a 10.0 rating, but I am more than sure women's matches aren't a million miles away from this young promotion. It is already without a shadow of a doubt the best promotion currently running within Plymouth and Cornwall. It's not perfect, I feel like it falls into pitfalls of lacking a distinct identity, the women's division not getting a ton of time has been way, *way* too consistent of a pain point, they're kind of being overly burdened by the vision of what wrestling on TV *has* been in America under the WWE monopoly they broke, occasionally feeling the need to overcomplicate things, especially regarding championships (looking at you, whatever the hell was going on with the unified championship, ) and also like Tony Khan has issues saying no to people, especially when those people are AEW Originals or legends with some respect. And unlike GLoW, the toned-down 80's campiness allows for more qualitative female workers, such as Barbi Hayden, Malia Hosaka, Holidead, Tessa Blanchard and April Mendez, to come in and get the product over without losing street cred themselves. Still, though, too many girls brought from other backgrounds on the sole basis of physical appearance and brought onscreeen waaay too early. But WoW, overall, has two massive yet clearly visible pitfalls to avoid if they want to grow in the years ahead : the pitfall of scaring real wrestling girls away by bringing too many green girls on-screen, and the pitfall of going woke / anti-men with Jeanie Buss (and/or evil influence around/on her), which would virtually kill the company on the spot." |

Having followed indie wrestling in the UK for years, it's been interesting to see how quickly the overall presentation and structure of the shows have developed. The product is clear, accessible family wrestling, and it's well aligned with the local audience. A lot of the roster is made up of local talent, and you can see noticeable improvement over the past year. That kind of steady development is good to watch. The fly-ins -- mostly from Germany, including several wXw names -- add experience and depth to the cards. They've generally been strong additions and raise the in-ring standard. Keel (big lad) is always present and seems closely involved, which gives the impression of consistency and direction behind the scenes. Attendance has been around 500 in a theatre setting, which works well. Sightlines are good, seating is comfortable, sound has improved, and bar prices are reasonable. There's also a bit of local celebrity presence at times, which adds to the atmosphere without distracting from the wrestling. Match quality continues to improve, and the December show was comfortably the strongest of the three we attended. If there's one small point to note: although most of the audience is local, a bit more English on the mic wouldn't go amiss for international fans. Overall, a well-run show that's clearly moving in the right direction." |

Truthfully the WWE has always been the product that catered to the most casual fan, the median wrestling fan who doesn't want something that pushes the boundaries too far and doesn't ask them to think too much, and that's not always such a bad thing. I enjoy the occasional Marvel movie or Taco Bell meal. Not everything has to be challenging or of the finest quality. But there's such a thing as a GREAT or even good superhero flick, or a solid fast food dinner. WWE in 2026 is something more akin to X-Men Origins: Wolverine, or a floppy, cold quesadilla served up with nothing but haste and without a thought spared on quality. Or maybe rock hard fries found in between the couch cushions is a more apt metaphor, because like them the WWE has gotten painfully stale. The product in 2026 is more focused on how it can cram as many advertisements for Dude Wipes, Slim Jims and Cinnamon Toast Crunch into your eyeballs as it can, than creating the best wrestling show possible. The average weekly episode of WWE programming is 3 hours of your time for 25-30 minutes of actual wrestling. How are young talent supposed to get their reps, improve, get over and move up the card when there is barely any time spent on in bell to bell product? Well, apparently they aren't. Unless they have a Hulk physique like Oba Femi and they are hand picked for a massive push. Otherwise you are out of luck. That has lead to boring main event scene full of part timers, washed up has beens and acts that are ice cold. I'm speaking of course of Roman Reigns, CM Punk and Cody, the names that dominate the WWE in both screen time and advertisement spotlight. Oh, and you can't forget about Brock Lesnar! Yes that guy who WWE should have ran screaming away from but instead see no issue pushing as a star, despite even most die hard WWE fans being finally sick of. Outside of the main event, it doesn't get much better. The WWE's tag division is a joke, nearly a decade it feels pushing nothing but The New Day and The Usos has left the tag belts feeling pointless. The undercard has some talent, doing their best to get over and put on great matches. But overall that's not enough to save a bloated, soulless and corporate product that is high on presentation virtually nil on substance. The weekly TV might be bad, but what about the PPVs? Oh excuse me, the "PLEs"? Well let's take a look at this years Super Bowl of American Wrestling, Wrestlemania. It's coming to us from the same town as last years, with largely the same cast of characters at the top of the card as last year. If that doesn't capture the lazy, unimaginative and safe booking of WWE in 2026, nothing will. And this problem will only get worse because the deeply unethical Albatross around the WWE's neck that is the Saudi Arabia deal is about to swallow up WWE's most beloved and important brand in Wrestlemania in it's dark cloud. Surely that Wrestlemania will be swarming with washed up stars from yesteryear like Stone Cold Steve Austin, Triple H, Shawn Michaels, The Undertaker, Goldberg, Chris Jericho, The Hardy Boyz, and many more! All locked in a high stakes battle of who will break a hip first. If you thought the talented youth movement in the company had it hard finding time on television now, try when WWE is building to that monstrosity of an event. I struggle to find any redeeming quality for WWE in the modern era. As I mentioned, there is talent in the company. The women are typically very good, doing the most with what they are given. WWE occasionally accidentally has a good match from time to time, when their small army of agents, writers and micromanagers actually lets the wrestlers do the thing they are best at. But on the whole, the WWE today is much more bad than good. It cranks out a steady diet of bland, unimaginative, and disposable content week to week that will be forgotten by it's fans almost as quickly as it ends, and the big events they are supposed to build to are rushed, lazy and filled with too much fluff and product placement to have any room for a soul or spark of creative passion. Avoid WWE like the plague, their content isn't worth your time and the company doesn't deserve your hard earned dollar." |

I started watching New Japan in 2018, and certainly that was much hotter time in the company than the one we currently see. Back then Okada, Omega, Tanahashi, and Naito were four heavenly pillars of wrestling greatness, elevating the ceiling of the promotion to the stratosphere. And lest I forget Ibushi, electrifying fans with unparalleled athleticism and a brutal, twisted alter ego. G1's were absolute gauntlets with frequent 5 star classics to leave us fans salivating, begging for more. Wrestle Kingdom was like the Super Bowl for hardcore fans. It was a glorious time, now THAT NJPW was a 10, hell an 11 out of 10. But today, the promotion has fallen a bit. The most obvious example of this is in the form of talent departures. Okada, Omega, Tanahashi and Naito are all gone, either left for greener pastures, due to backstage disputes, or retirement. On the Naito front, all of the original LIJ, my second favorite stable behind Suzuki-gun, are also gone. Standouts like Minoru Suzuki, Jay White, Jeff Cobb, the list literally goes on and on and on. The sheer exodus of talent from New Japan is quite astounding. You might think that would lead to a true dark age for New Japan, and while the overall quality of shows has been hampered a little, I think New Japan is still in a very strong place despite all of this. Their religious focus on developing new talent constantly via the Young Lions program has paid dividends. They already have their new ace established in Yota Tsuji who, while not yet a completely faceted gem, has shown a very promising ability to deliver in big moments, on the biggest of stages. The young talent on the way up the pike should fill us with a sense of hope that we aren't in dark age for NJPW, but the beginning of a new and fresh renaissance. The Knockout Brothers, Yuto-Ice and Oskar, are the best tag team in the world for my dollar, virtually incapable of having a bad match it seems and with chemistry that has turned them into possibly the most over act in the country. Yuya Uemura and Shota Umino, despite the latter being routinely rejected by the fans as an unwanted babyface star, have shown a high level in ring ability and are continuing to grow, showing not just improvements, but the glimmers of a possible fued that could main event the Tokyo Dome one day. The homegrown talent just keeps flowing, from beloved and legit shooter Aaron Wolf, to future Jr. Ace Kosei Fujita, endearing beefcake Ryohei Oiwa, mean-mugging gremlin Daiki Nagai, I could keep going. Yes in my opinion the reports of New Japan's demise are in fact highly exaggerated. I see the early tells of what will become a great era of wrestling for the company. And with all time greats like ZSJ, Shingo Takagi and Tomohiro Ishii still sticking around to lead the way, I am sure this era will bear fruit, if only we are patient in waiting for it." |

The current state of the product is better than it has been in a while but let's not pretend there's none of the shortcomings that existed when Vince was there. There's still a tendency to push dog shit wrestlers and keep pushing ones the fans don't want. The PLEs are marathons with more filler than wrestling and yet fans will gaslight you into thinking it's great. WWE in the last 9 years has all but killed my passion for wrestling. Kenny has looked the best he's been in years. Swerve seems to be going heel and a program with Kenny Omega seems likely which I have very high hopes for. Andrade has brought in new life to the main event scene which I needed. Dynamite has remained very consistent show as every show this year has been in the usual 7 to 8 range apart from one show in january. The TV specials they've had this year have been mostly good too. However, there are issues. Collision has been extremely boring since the C2. I don't think it's that bad of a show but nothing happens on there and there's far too many squashes. The booking of the women hasn't been good either. Toni Storm's stock has been declining a bit but she's still entertaining. I can't say the same for Mina as she's practically been doing nothing all year. Willow has been a ghost with the TBS title and they seem to be prioritizing the babes of wrath act more which I strongly disagree with. The Kris Statlander stuff has been unfortunate too. She gives it her absolute best in every match she has because her character work has been bad, but AEW haven't given her any promo time or any compelling feuds with it so it's hard to blame her. Putting the title on Thekla was the right call and I hope they fix the mistakes they had with her. The Death Riders and the don Callis family take up a ton of time on dynamite which is a bit of an issue. I love a ton of wrestlers in both groups, but I hate Don Callis. Ruthless Aggression (2002-2008) maintained momentum with fresh stars (John Cena, Batista, Edge) while balancing entertainment and in-ring quality. Today's WWE prioritizes corporate safety over authenticity: sanitized storylines lack stakes, characters feel generic, and over-reliance on part-time legends stifles new talent development. A little tough to follow due to lack of subtitles and translations, but it's easy enough to piece together what's happening because the plots aren't that complex (you can find summaries of promos on the results page of their home website, which you can translate in browser... not ideal but understand they're working with limited resources here). Meanwhile, it's an easy watch, everyone on the roster is likeable in some way (even the heels), and big shows are guaranteed to have at least a few really-good-to-great matches. It's the number two overall wrestling company in Japan at the moment for a reason, and it's growing." |

I enjoy their show so much, and the storylines they currently have are pretty good. That being said, it's not perfect. It still has some issues, but overall, it's a really solid show on YouTube." |

They may not be the most popular, the most acclaimed or the most unique. They are, however, without a doubt a crucial company for the lifeblood of the Essex indie thanks to its DKW Academy which has helped produce several noteworthy wrestlers in its lifetime, from big-time Nick Aldis to the local Ryan Curran. Even now, they host and train talent who have been showing a deep passion for the industry for decades all while swamped with the nearby promotions that are constantly in need of fresh wrestlers for their gymnasium events, all of which they still show the utmost effort and professionalism which can be attributed to the training of DKW. Its fair to say that this promotion will likely never get its dues, especially since the creation of BMPG in 2023 has meant most of the roster will focus less on DKW. As someone who has been keeping an eye on and tracking DKW for years now, its a true shame. However, BMPG could be that new lifeshot that Essex and Kent need, especially since they have began developing their own academy. Time will tell whether BMPG will be the new breeding ground for south-east wrestling, or whether it will be a shell of the DKW brand and cause more aspiring wrestlers to migrate to the populous Lucha Britannia or WAW. Even so, despite what happens, DKW should be remembered. Maybe not for its odd blur of blood in a family friendly setting, nor for its very sub-par media and recording. But rather, for what it influenced and the DNA it brought that can still be seen in modern wrestler's backgrounds. That is what it should be appreciated for." |

So many insanely talented women and cool, memorable matches. Just going through Kairi's match catalog alone is insane. And recently, Saya Kamitani has been stealing the show. Also love their use of gaijin talent like Megan Bayne." |

AEW is like the cool uncle or recess in elementary school. It is truly a breath of fresh air, and it is just extremely fun. The mantra being "where the best wrestle" is not an understatement, it is absolutely true. Big time names, big time matches, and no filters on blood or violence or censoring crowds/promos. As of recently, their storylines have been quite good and even surpassing WWE, something that I never expected to say. Eventually, I feel like this will end due to the amount of money WWE gets and will end up like WCW, but so far so good, and this is remarkable wrestling, stories, and promos that everyone should watch. I hope this becomes a staple." |

They've make some awful booking decisions over their 20+ years and so much more that it's not even funny. The storylines they've done, the matches they've produced, the gimmicks they've created, the drama onscreen & behind the scenes is ridiculous. Like I said, they've had bright moments, but some of the bad moments overshadows them and they've been given the infamous nickname (LOLTNA)" |

I mean..... it's fine. Really just the most milquetoast indie wrestling fed you could imagine in your head. Their big annual events are "Rumble Royale", "Mania", "In Our House", and "Summer of Slams". I'm not gonna be mean and use a phrase as harsh as "creatively bankrupt", I'm just trying to indicate what exactly you can expect from River City Wrestling. Owner Brandon Oliver definitely takes advantage of booking the biggest stars that live in the area that he can, like the Von Erichs, Kaun, Sho Funaki (who runs a school and whose son also now wrestles), and I'm pretty sure Moose lives around here too. But even combined with a quite diverse offering of solid local guys like Epydemius Jr., Izzy James, Angel Camacho, and Brick Savage, nothing ever quite reaches that next level you'd expect from a fed of this size and age. I'm not really sure what exactly RCW can do to make itself stand out more in this midst of this absolutely dreadful-for-pro-wrestling economy we're going through right now, but I hope they can figure that out eventually." |

But then Giant Baba passed away, which set the stage for an exodus that led to the formation of NOAH and the devolution of the AJPW brand. That said, the promotion is starting to enjoy a resurgence under Tsuyoki Fukuda's leadership and can still draw a four-figure crowd out to their events; allowing them to carry on AJPW's legacy without relegating the promotion to the antiquity of defunct promotions." |

It makes you wonder what the hell happened that in 1 year going into 2025 from 2024, WWE lost so much fanfare and the mean streak they were on. RAW was the best brand by a landslide but that's not saying much considering the second half of the year was marred by decent but forgettable shows. NXT was existent and SmackDown was at it's worst under the guide of Road Dogg Jesse James. Going into 2026, It seems like those issues are still prevalent. RAW and SmackDown has switched spots and SmackDown is the best brand under Ryan Ward while RAW is just mediocre, NXT seems to be going a bit of a restructure after many stars were moved to other brands by calling up EVOLVE and LFG wrestlers and the Rumble ended up being disappointing. Overall, WWE has a chance to rebuild the heat they lost over the course of the year and really focus on a new direction rather than going for virality, money, relying on older talent and subpar booking." |
