[10.0] "Only counting this rating for ARSION and not AtoZ because I've seen very little of it but the run from 1998-2001 is probably my favourite run of any company ever. Taking shoot-style and lucha and building a joshi company around it wasn't really done before or since and it was super compelling, the sheer force of talent made almost every show must-watch with something great to take away from it. The early rise of Candy, underdog workhorses like Yumi and Rie, actually good foreign workers like Reggie, HamAKINO and Ayako's path to the top, peak Aja Kong and Mariko Yoshida, the sky high workers like the Apache sisters and Chaparita ASARI - there's just so many gems from this era. All-timer matches like Yumi/Mariko and LCO/HamAKINO and some of the best booked tournaments ever, specifically the ZION 98 and ARS 99. Even when the style started changing for the worse in 2000, there were still some killer stuff in that year. Sadly Aja leaves, Yumi and Candy both retire and Asuka comes in to mess things up in 2001 but hell, 2003 had the awesome Yoshida/Fujii match so it's hard for me to really hate everything post-2001. Truly nothing has quite compared to ARSION since and I doubt anything ever will."

[8.0] "It's tough to compare ARSION to the incredible output of say AJW, but there's something thoroughly enjoyable seeing a more independent and shoot style influence on women's wrestling emerge here. Ayako was made a star, Aja Kong and Yoshida stand out, and Omukai when she would step it up was a treat."
