[10.0] "An incredibly good match to open King of Pro Wrestling. They showed the kind of fire and technical brilliance that used to be the norm in NJPW, but is now sometimes lacking in the men's ranks. Syuri's striking is something terrifying at times to watch. Saree is a supremely talented mat wrestler. Her bridge out of Syuri's hold was a thing of beauty. They weren't afraid to go hard in this match; the double headbutt had the crowd gasping. Good finish, and Saree loses nothing in defeat. Loved it."

It was maybe SLIGHTLY over dramatic but it all served a major purpose. These are not idols they are FIGHTERS. Amazing opener."

[8.0] "it took a while but to be fair, this title feels worthy of the IWPG name, and it feels prestigious with Iwatani as champion and a great list of challengers including Toni Storm, adding that world-wide relevance feel. There is this slight tension between the existence of the IWGP belt in Stardom where they already have a world champion and a clear belt hierarchy, maybe one day the two will be unified as something like the "IWGP World of Stardom title", but for now, I like this title. Belt looks good as well, behind the High Speed belt, its probably the best looking belt in Joshi."

[9.0] "Mayu's title reign with this title is so damn good that I could give it a 10 but it still is too early to do it. This title gave us a banger first match with Kairi and Mayu, the long awaited Mercedes vs Kairi and also the dream match that is Mercedes vs Mayu. As I write this Mayu has been holding this title for 400 days and has had matches like Mayu vs Sareee and Mayu vs Syuri, which both are matches of the year."

[3.0] "Useless championship created for zero good reason since NJPW absolutely doesn't care about it and Rossy most likely doesn't care either since it is not a proper Stardom title. It is never defended, and the only time NJPW actually booked a match in Japan, it lasted 6 minutes, an absolute joke and complete disrespect to both Kairi and Tam Nakano. Mayu Iwatani won the belt more than 6 months ago and has defended it once. Tells you everything you need to know. Sure the title holders were all good, but it doesn't change all those facts."
GameSquid02 wrote on 16.08.2023:
[8.0] "Still a new title but really has yet to do what it was created to do. All champions as of now have lost after one successful defense and it really just feels like its the publicity title. Almost all of the matches for the belt have felt VERY important and delivered great matches so I feel it deserves an 8. Hopefully Mayu will be the champion to bring it to the next level"
LivingLegend wrote on 13.08.2023:
"This belt was created as a publicity stunt so Mercedes could work New Japan shows. Kairi was crowned the inaugural champion so she could lose it to Mercedes, who definitely made money for New Japan and had a good reign, winning it in an excellent match with Kairi and defending it in a fun three way match. But they couldn't keep Mercedes in Japan forever so she had to abruptly drop it to Mayu, who, according to Cagematch, has no defended it even once since she won it nearly four months ago, which only makes my point of it being a publicity stunt even more apparent. Sad. It could have been something great."

A pitifully short first reign and first defense, setting up a second even shorter reign that was entertaining in the moment, but also felt like a publicity stunt on borrowed time. In Mercedes' hands the belt received a moment of global attention, but Mayu needs a prominent reign to raise the value of this belt."
Suzukigun wrote on 19.02.2023:
"It's obviously in its infancy, but I'm already mixed in my views of this title. Two of the three title matches thus far have gotten good time and were beloved by most fans, but the fact that the inaugural reign was under three months rubbed me the wrong way. How do you have KAIRI lose in her second title defense, that too against someone who is allegedly signed to limited dates with your company? NJPW has a shoddy recent history when it comes to treating its titles, and this one is following a similar trend. The rating can always change, but I can't give it above a 7 right now."
